Abstract
Objective: To analyze the status of respiratory pathogen detection and the clinical features in children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (MPP). Methods: A prospective, multicenter study was conducted to collect clinical data, including medical history, laboratory examinations and multiplex PCR tests of children diagnosed with MPP from 4 hospitals in China between November 15th and December 20th, 2023. The multiplex PCR results and clinical characteristics of MPP children in different regions were analyzed. The children were divided into severe and mild groups according to the severity of the disease. Patients in the severe group were further divided into Mycoplasma pneumoniae (MP) alone and Multi-pathogen co-detection groups based on whether other pathogens were detected besides MP, to analyze the influence of respiratory pathogen co-detection rate on the severity of the disease. Mann-Whitney rank sum test and Chi-square test were used to compare data between independent groups. Results: A total of 298 children, 136 males and 162 females, were enrolled in this study, including 204 children in the severe group with an onset age of 7.0 (6.0, 8.0) years, and 94 children in the mild group with an onset age of 6.5 (4.0, 7.8) years. The level of C-reactive protein, D-dimer, lactic dehydrogenase (LDH) were significantly higher (10.0 (5.0, 18.0) vs. 5.0 (5.0, 7.5) mg/L, 0.6 (0.4, 1.1) vs. 0.5 (0.3, 0.6) mg/L, 337 (286, 431) vs. 314 (271, 393) U/L, Z=2.02, 2.50, 3.05, all P<0.05), and the length of hospitalization was significantly longer in the severe group compared with those in mild group (6.0 (6.0, 7.0) vs. 5.0 (4.0, 6.0) d, Z=4.37, P<0.05). The time from onset to admission in severe MPP children was significantly shorter than that in mild MPP children (6.0 (5.0, 9.5) vs. 9.0 (7.0, 13.0) d, Z=2.23, P=0.026). All patients completed the multiplex PCR test, with 142 cases (47.7%) MPP children detected with 21 pathogens including adenovirus 25 cases (8.4%), human coronavirus 23 cases (7.7%), rhinovirus 21 cases (7.0%), Streptococcus pneumoniae 21 cases (7.0%), influenza A virus 18 cases (6.0%). The pathogens with the highest detection rates in Tianjin, Shanghai, Wenzhou and Chengdu were Staphylococcus aureus at 10.7% (8/75), adenovirus at 13.0% (10/77), adenovirus at 15.3% (9/59), and both rhinovirus and Haemophilus influenzae at 11.5% (10/87) each. The multi-pathogen co-detection rate in severe MPP children was significantly higher than that in mild MPP group (52.9% (108/204) vs. 36.2% (34/94), χ²=10.62,P=0.005). Among severe MPP children, there are 89 cases in the multi-pathogen co-detection group and 73 cases in the simple MPP group. The levels of LDH, D-dimer and neutrophil counts in the multi-pathogen co-detection group were significantly higher than those in the simple MPP group (348 (284, 422) vs. 307 (270, 358) U/L, 0.8 (0.5, 1.5) vs. 0.6 (0.4, 1.0) mg/L, 4.99 (3.66, 6.89)×109 vs. 4.06 (2.91, 5.65)×109/L, Z=5.17, 4.99, 6.11, all P<0.05). Conclusions: The co-detection rate of respiratory pathogens, LDH and D-dimer in children with severe MPP were higher than those with mild MPP. Among severe MPP children the stress response of children in co-detection group was more serious than that of children with simple MPP.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinical and prognostic characteristics of newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (NDMM) patients with myelofibrosis (MF). Methods: The clinical data of 160 NDMM patients admitted to Henan Provincial People's Hospital from January 2012 to July 2022 were analyzed retrospectively. They were divided into MF group(n=74) and non-MF group(n=86) according to whether combined with MF. Patients in MF group were further splited into MF-1 group (n=47) and MF-2/3 group (n=27). All patients were treated with bortezomib and immunomodulatory-based combination therapy. The efficacy was evaluated after 4 courses, and the clinical features and prognosis between the two groups were compared. The deadline for follow-up was December 30, 2022 and the median follow-up period [M (Q1, Q3)] was 23.5 (14.4, 40.5) months. Kaplan-Meier method was used for survival analysis, and Cox regression model was used to analyze the influencing factors of survival. Results: Among 160 patients with NDMM, 91 were males and 69 were females, with a median age [M (Q1, Q3)] of 59 (54, 69) years. In MF group, the bone marrow immature plasma cell percentage, total plasma cell percentage were 9.6% (3.2%, 28.5%) and 36.4% (18.5%, 51.1%), respectively, which were higher than 6.0% (1.2%, 17.2%) and 24.0% (12.0%, 46.0%) of the non-MF group (both P<0.05). Hb level was 84.0(74.5, 100.5)g/L and PLT was (151.99±90.68) ×109/L in the MF group, which were lower than 96.0 (81.0, 112.0)g/L and (180.38±85.32) ×109/L of non-MF group (both P<0.05). But there were no significant differences in ISS stage, karyotypic and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) high-risk genetic abnormalities between the two groups (all P>0.05). Objective response rate (ORR), overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) were not significantly different between the two groups (all P>0.05). The rate of 17p- was 25.9% (7/27) in MF-2/3 group, which was higher than 8.1% (7/86) of non-MF group (P=0.049). The median OS of the MF-2/3 group was 25.0 (95%CI: 23.6-26.4) months, which was shorter than that of the non-MF group (54.0 months, P=0.031). Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that grade MF-2/3 was not a risk factor for OS in NDMM patients (HR=1.507, 95%CI: 0.624-3.993, P=0.425). Conclusions: The ratio of bone marrow immature plasma cells and total plasma cells in NDMM patients with MF are higher than that in patients without MF, and the Hb and PLT are lower than that in patients without MF. NDMM patients with grade 2/3 MF have shorter survival than those without MF.

Abstract
Formaldehyde, as an important pollutant in indoor air, has always been of great concern. In the newly issued "Standards for indoor air quality (GB/T 18883-2022)", the standard limit of formaldehyde has been restricted to 0.08 mg/m3. In order to better promote the implementation and application of this new standard, this study reviewed and interpreted the relevant technical content for determining the standard limit, including the indoor concentration and human exposure levels of formaldehyde, the health effects of formaldehyde, and the derivation of safety reference values. It also proposed prospect for the future development and revision of quality standards for formaldehyde in indoor air.

Abstract
The development of endometriosis is closely linked to macrophages, and the type M1 macrophage has been hypothesized to play an inhibitory role in its progression. Escherichia coli induces macrophage polarization toward M1 in numerous diseases and differs in the reproductive tract of patients with and without endometriosis; however, its specific role in endometriosis development remains unknown. Therefore, in this study, E. coli was selected as a stimulator to induce macrophages, and its effects on the growth of endometriosis lesions in vitro and in vivo were investigated using C57BL/6N female mice and endometrial cells. It was revealed that E. coli inhibited the migration and proliferation of co-cultured endometrial cells by IL-1 in vitro and prevented the growth of lesions and induced macrophage polarization toward M1 in vivo. However, this change was counteracted by C-C motif chemokine receptor 2 inhibitors, suggesting that it was associated with bone marrow-derived macrophages. Overall, the presence of E. coli in the abdominal cavity may be a protective factor for endometriosis.

Abstract
Objective: To understand the characteristics and associated factors of viral nucleic acid conversion in children infected with Omicron variant strain of SARS-CoV-2 in Shanghai. Methods: The clinical symptoms, laboratory results and other data of 177 children infected with SARS-CoV-2 who were hospitalized in Shanghai Children's Hospital, School of Medicine, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (designated hospital for SARS-CoV-2 infection in Shanghai) from April 25 to June 8, 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. According to the chest imaging findings, the children were divided into mild and common type groups. According to their age, the unvaccinated children were divided into<3 years old group and 3-<18 years old group. According to the vaccination status, the children aged 3-<18 year were divided into non-vaccination group, 1-dose vaccination group and 2-dose vaccination group. Comparison between groups was performed by independent sample t-test and analysis of variance, and multivariate linear regression analysis was used for multivariate analysis. Results: Among the 177 children infected with Omicron variant of SARS-CoV-2, 96 were males and 81 were females, aged 3 (1, 6) years. The time of viral nucleic acid negative conversion was (10.3±3.1) days. The 177 children were 138 cases of mild type and 39 cases of common type. Among the children aged 3-<18 years old, 55 cases were not vaccinated, 5 cases received 1-dose and 36 cases received 2-dose vaccination. Among the 36 children who received 2 doses of vaccination, the time of viral nucleic acid negative conversion was shorter in those vaccinated within 6 months than those over 6 months ((7.1±1.9) vs. (10.8±3.0) d, t=-3.23, P=0.004). Univariate analysis showed that the time of nucleic acid negative conversion of SARS-CoV-2 was associated with age, underlying diseases, gastrointestinal symptoms, white blood cell count, proportion of neutrophils, proportion of lymphocytes, and the number of doses of SARS-CoV-2 vaccine (t=3.87, 2.55, 2.04, 4.24, 3.51, 2.92, F=16.27, all P<0.05). Multiple linear regression analysis showed that older age (β=-0.33, 95% CI -0.485--0.182, P<0.001) and more doses of vaccination (β=-0.79, 95% CI -1.463--0.120, P=0.021) were associated with shortened nucleic acid negative conversion time in children, while lower lymphocyte proportion (β=-0.02, 95% CI -0.044--0.002, P=0.031) and underlying diseases (β=1.52, 95% CI 0.363-2.672, P=0.010) were associated with prolonged nucleic acid negative conversion time in children. Conclusion: The children infected with Omicron variant of SARS-CoV-2 with reduced lymphocyte proportion and underlying diseases may have longer time of viral nucleic acid negative conversion,while children with older age and more doses of vaccination may have shorter time of viral nucleic acid negative conversion.

Abstract
Objective: To summarize the application experience and the therapeutic effect of Nirmatrelvir-Ritonavir (trade name: Paxlovid) for COVID-19 in children. Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical data, including collecting the clinical manifestations and clinical outcomes, dynamically monitoring the blood routine, hepatic and renal function and SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid results, and observing the related side effects during the treatment, etc, of 3 cases with COVID-19 treated with Paxlovid admitted to Shanghai Children's Hospital (designated referral hospital for SARS-CoV-2 infection in Shanghai) from May 1st to June 1st, 2022. Results: The 3 cases were 12, 14, 17 years of age, among which 2 cases were males, 1 case was female. All 3 cases were mild cases with underlying diseases and risk of developing into severe COVID-19, with symptoms of high fever, sore throat and dry cough. The treatment of Paxlovid at 3rd day of symptom onset contributed to the symptom-free after 1-2 days and negative results of SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid after 2-4 days. All patients had no adverse manifestations of gastrointestinal tract and nervous system but a case had little skin rashes, which recovered after the withdrawal of Paxlovid. Three cases had normal hepatic and renal function during the Paxlovid treatment. At 3 months after discharge, no clinical manifestations of post-COVID syndrome were found in all 3 cases. Conclusion: Paxlovid was effective and relatively safe in the treatment of 3 children with COVID-19.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the characteristics, clinical features and prognostic effects of NOTCH1/FBXW7 gene mutations in T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) patients. Methods: The clinical data of 61 T-ALL patients who underwent second-generation gene sequencing in Henan Provincial People's Hospital from March 2016 to March 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. There were 46 males and 15 females, with a median age [M (Q1, Q3)] of 18 (11, 30) years. The relationship between NOTCH1/FBXW7 gene mutation characteristics, clinical and laboratory parameters and their impact on event free survival (EFS) and overall survival (OS) were analyzed. Results: NOTCH1 gene mutations were found in 34 cases (55.7%, 34/61), including 22 cases of heterodimer domain (HD) mutations (64.7%), 7 cases of proline/glutamate/serine/threonine (PEST) mutations (20.6%), and 5 cases of both HD and PEST mutations (14.7%). FBXW7 gene mutations were detected in 9 cases (14.8%, 9/61), of which 5 cases had both NOTCH1 and FBXW7 gene mutations. Twenty-three (37.7%, 23/61) cases were wild type. The median white blood cell count of patients in NOTCH1/FBXW7 gene mutations group and wild-type group was 76.4×109/L (8.3×109/L, 149.2×109/L), 54.1×109/L (5.3×109/L, 156.6×109/L), respectively. Moreover, the hemoglobin was (89.1±27.1) g/L and (99.5±23.1) g/L, respectively, and the median proportion of bone marrow primordial cells was 84.5% (69.0%, 91.3%) and 60.0%(35.0%, 80.0%), respectively. The gene expression rate of SIL-TAL1, Hox11 and Hox11L2 was 7.9% (3/38) vs 17.4% (4/23), 18.4% (7/38) vs 4.3% (1/23), 5.3% (2/38) vs 13.0% (3/23), respectively (all P>0.05). However, the median platelet level in the NOTCH1/FBXW7 gene mutations group was 60.5×109/L (36.8×109/L, 100.3×109/L), which was lower than that in the wild-type group [116.0×109/L (63.0×109/L, 178.0×109/L)] (P=0.018). The median number of gene mutations in the group with NOTCH1/FBXW7 gene mutations group was 2.5 (1.8, 4.0), which was more than that in the group without NOTCH1/FBXW7 gene mutations group [0 (0, 1.0)] (P<0.001). The median EFS and OS of adult NOTCH1/FBXW7 gene mutations group were 28.0 (95%CI: 7.3-48.7) months and 30.0 (95%CI: 8.9-51.1) months, respectively, which were better than those of adult wild-type group [4.5 (95%CI: 0-11.6) months and 9.0 (95%CI: 0-19.1) months] (P=0.008 and 0.014).The median EFS and OS of children NOTCH1/FBXW7 gene mutations group were 12.0 (95%CI: 10.4-13.6) months and 19.0 (95%CI: 13.6-24.4) months, respectively, and those of wild-type group were 10.0 (95%CI: 8.9-11.1) months and 21.0 (95%CI: 0-51.4) months, respectively (P=0.673 and 0.434). Conclusions: The mutation rate of NOTCH1/FBXW7 gene is higher in T-ALL patients. Patients with NOTCH1/FBXW7 gene mutations group have lower platelet count and better EFS and OS. NOTCH1/FBXW7 gene mutation may be used as a hierarchical basis for individualized treatment of adult T-ALL patients.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the correlation between vitamin D deficiency and the severity of symptoms in children with vasovagal syncope (VVS). Methods: A prospective study was conducted. One hundred and twenty-two children diagnosed with VVS by head up tilt test in Department of Pediatric Cardiology and 130 healthy children without symptoms who underwent physical examination in the outpatient department of Child Healthcare Department of Second Hospital of Lanzhou University from December 2019 to May 2021 were selected and assigned to VVS group and control group, respectively. According to the diagnostic criteria of vitamin D deficiency, children in the VVS group were assigned to three subgroups: non-vitamin D deficiency, vitamin D deficiency, and severe vitamin D deficiency. All children underwent detailed history taking, physical examination, and level determination of serum 25 (OH) D. Children in the VVS group were scored for orthostatic intolerance (OI) symptoms including 10 symptoms: syncope, dizziness, nausea, palpitation, headache, tremor, chest tightness, blurred vision, profuse perspiration, and attention deficit. The differences in the age, gender, body mass index, blood pressure, and serum 25 (OH) D levels between VVS group and control group, and the differences regarding the age, gender, body mass index, blood pressure, serum 25 (OH) D levels and symptom scores among the three VVS subgroups were compared. Comparisons were performed using independent sample t test, ANOVA analysis, Chi square test and rank sum test. Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between serum 25 (OH) D levels and OI symptom scores in children with VVS. Results: The serum 25 (OH) D levels were significantly lower in the VVS group than those in the control group ((31±11) vs. (46±10) nmol/L, t=10.89, P<0.001). Vitamin D deficiency was more frequent in the VVS group (73.0% (89/122) vs. 24.6% (32/130), χ²=58.91, P<0.001). There were significant differences among the severe vitamin D deficiency subgroup, vitamin D deficiency subgroup, and non-vitamin D deficiency subgroup regarding the serum 25 (OH) D levels ((9.8±0.4) vs. (26.6±6.5) vs. (45.8±5.9) nmol/L, F=142.77, P<0.001) and the OI symptom scores ((14±1) vs. (10±2) vs. (7±2) scores, F=44.97, P<0.001). The scores of syncope, nausea, profuse perspiration, blurred vision and dizziness among the severe vitamin D deficiency subgroup, vitamin D deficiency subgroup, and non-vitamin D deficiency subgroup were statistically significant (H=9.01, 7.52, 12.11, 7.07 and 9.54, respectively, all P<0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed that the serum 25 (OH) D levels were negatively correlated with OI symptom scores in children with VVS (r=-0.769, P<0.001). Conclusions: VVS children have significant vitamin D deficiency. The severity of symptoms increases with decreasing of vitamin D level. Syncope, nausea, and profuse perspiration are more likely to occur in children with severe vitamin D deficiency, and dizziness and blurred vision are more likely to occur in children with vitamin D deficiency.

Abstract
Objective: To understand the use of psychoactive substances and its related factors in men who have sex with men (MSM) in Tianjin. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted in MSM recruited in Tianjin by snowball sampling from September 2017 to December 2020, the information about their social demographic information, use of psychoactive substances and behavioral characteristics were collected, meanwhile the blood samples were taken from them for HIV/syphilis detections. Multivariate logistic regression was used to explore related factors about psychoactive substances use. Results: A total of 9 218 MSM were included in the study, in whom 43.5% (4 013/9 218) had ever used psychoactive substances, including 92.6% (3 718/4 013)who used Rush and 17.2% (692/4 013) who used multi substances. Multivariate analysis showed that, the OR of psychoactive substances use in MSM who were in Han ethnic group was 0.68 (95%CI:0.51-0.91) compared with those who were in minor ethnic group; the OR of psychoactive substances use in MSM who were married or cohabited, divorced or widowed were 0.65 (95%CI: 0.57-0.71), 0.80 (95%CI: 0.65-0.97) respectively compared with those who were unmarried; the OR of psychoactive substances use in MSM who had the first homosexual sex at age of ≥30 years was 0.57 (95%CI: 0.44-0.74) compared with those who had the first homosexual sex at age of <30 years; the OR of psychoactive substances use in local MSM in Tianjin was 1.12 (95%CI: 1.03-1.23) compared with those who were not local residents in Tianjin; the OR of psychoactive substances use in MSM with education level of college or above was 1.29 (95%CI: 1.12-1.49) compared with those with education level of junior middle school or below; the OR of psychoactive substances use in MSM who had anal sex in the past six months was 1.93 (95%CI: 1.34-2.77) compared with those who had no anal sex; the OR of psychoactive substances use in MSM who had >2 homosexual partners in the last week was 1.62 (95%CI: 1.41-1.87) compared with those who had ≤2 homosexual partners; the OR of psychoactive substances use in MSM who had homosexual commercial sex in the past six months was 1.99 (95%CI: 1.62-2.45) compared with those who had no homosexual commercial sex; the OR of psychoactive substances use in MSM who had sexually transmitted diseases in the last year was 2.39 (95%CI: 1.82-3.12) compared with those who had no sexually transmitted diseases and the OR of psychoactive substances use in MSM who received peer education services in the last year was 1.63 (95%CI: 1.50-1.78) compared with those who received no peer education services. Conclusion: The prevalence of psychoactive substances use is high in MSM in Tianjin, and there are many influencing factors. It is necessary to conduct targeted interventions according to the influencing factors.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effect of maternal exposure to lipopolysaccharide during pregnancy on allergic asthma in offspring in mice. Methods: Animal experimental research was carried out from June 2019 to June 2021.Pregnant C57BL/6J mice were randomly divided into 2 groups by intraperitoneal injection with 7 μg/kg lipopolysaccharide (LPS) or phosphate buffered saline (PBS) at day 15.5 of gestation. After birth, 6 offspring were randomly chosen from each group at the age of 4 weeks, and stimulated with house dust mites (HDM) or PBS, further divided into 4 groups, such as LPS+PBS group, LPS+HDM group, PBS+PBS group, PBS+HDM group, with 3 mice in each group. The cough and wheezing were observed, the histological changes in lung tissue were examined after HE staining, and the expression of inflammatory factors including interleukin (IL)-4, IL-6, IL-17A, IL-23, interferon (IFN)-α and IFN-β in the lung tissue were detected by high-throughput liquid protein chip detection. T test or rank sum test was used for the comparison among these groups. Results: The asthma-like airway inflammation was more obvious in PBS+HDM group after stimulated by HDM than that in PBS+PBS group, nevertheless, this manifestation in LPS+HDM group was milder than that in PBS+HDM group. HE staining showed that inflammatory cell aggregation in the lung tissue in PBS+HDM group was significantly higher than that in PBS+PBS group (4.0 (3.5, 4.0) vs. 0 (0, 0.5), Z=2.02, P=0.043), while it was much lower in LPS+HDM group compared to PBS+HDM group (1.0 (0.5, 1.5) vs. 4.0 (3.5, 4.0), Z=1.99, P=0.046). High-throughput liquid protein chip detection of lung tissue showed that IL-6, IL-23 and IFN-β levels were significantly higher in PBS+HDM group when compared to those in PBS+PBS group ((114±3) vs. (94±4) ng/L, (210±4) vs. (173±7) ng/L, (113±2) vs. (94±4) ng/L, t=4.37, 4.84, 3.96, all P<0.05), while the levels of IL-6, IL-23, IFN-α, IFN-β in LPS+HDM group were significantly lower than those in PBS+HDM group ((87±5) vs. (114±3) ng/L, (171±7) vs. (210±4) ng/L, (16.1±0.6) vs. (20.9±0.3) ng/L, (95±1) vs. (113±2) ng/L, t=5.07, 5.07, 7.28, 7.47, all P<0.05). Conclusions: Prenatal low dose LPS exposure can reduce offspring's airway inflammatory reactions and prevent the development of allergic disease. Maternal infection during pregnancy may affect the occurrence and development of allergic asthma in offspring.

Abstract
The aim of this study was to explore the effects of early weaning on growth performance, intestinal morphology, digestive enzyme activity, antioxidant status, and cytokine status in domestic pigeon squabs (Columba livia). The conclusion is based on body weight (BW) and average daily gain (ADG), length index and weight index of small intestine, small intestinal morphology, activity of digestive enzymes in duodenum content, the concentrations of jejunal antioxidant status and cytokines. A completely randomized design with 2 treatments, the control group (CON) and early weaning (EW) group, was utilized. Eight squabs per treatment were sampled at the age of 25 d. The results showed that early weaning reduced BW (P < 0.05), ADG (P < 0.05), ileac length index (P < 0.05), and weight index (P < 0.01). Compared with the CON group, small intestinal morphology was altered in the EW group. Ileac crypt depth (CD) increased significantly (P < 0.01). The villus area was decreased in the duodenum (P < 0.05), jejunum (P < 0.01), and ileum (P < 0.05). The ileac ratio of villus height to crypt depth (VCR) in the EW group was lower than the ileac ratio of villus height to VCR in the CON group (P < 0.01). The activity of trypsin (P < 0.05), sucrase (P < 0.01) and aminopeptidase-N (APN) (P < 0.01) in the duodenum was reduced. Jejunal malondialdehyde (MDA) (P < 0.01) was increased and total superoxide dismutase (T-SOD) (P < 0.01) was reduced significantly. Early weaning decreased the concentrations of interferon-γ (IFN-γ) (P < 0.01), interleukin-4 (IL-4) (P < 0.05) and interleukin-10 (IL-10) (P < 0.01) but induced significant upregulation of interleukin-2 (IL-2) (P < 0.05). In conclusion, our results suggested that early weaning did harm the BW and ADG, intestinal length index and weight index, intestinal morphology, activity of digestive enzymes, and antioxidant and cytokine status.

Abstract
目的 探讨Ph阳性附加染色体异常(ACA/Ph+)对初诊慢性期(CP)和治疗中进展为加速期和急变期慢性髓性白血病(CML-AP/BP)患者生物学特征、疗效和预后的影响。 方法 回顾性分析2013年1月至2020年6月河南省人民医院收治的410例Ph+ CML[初诊CML-CP 348例,治疗中进展为AP/BP(进展期CML)62例]患者的临床资料,根据ELN2020标准将其分为高危、非高危和无ACA/Ph+三组,并比较分析高危/非高危ACA/Ph+对其生物学特征、疗效和预后的影响。 结果 ①348例初诊CML-CP患者,合并ACA/Ph+者20例(5.75%),其中高危ACA/Ph+组3例,非高危ACA/Ph+组17例;无ACA/Ph+组328例。伴ACA/Ph+和无ACA/Ph+组患者的基本临床特征差异无统计学意义(P值均>0.05);非高危ACA/Ph+组和无ACA/Ph+组间完全血液学缓解(CHR)率、完全细胞遗传学反应(CCyR)率、主要分子学反应(MMR)率和5年总生存(OS)率差异均无统计学意义(P值均>0.05);非高危ACA/Ph+组5年无进展生存(PFS)率显著低于无ACA/Ph+组(42.0%对74.5%,χ2=4.766,P=0.029)。②62例进展期CML患者,合并ACA/Ph+者41例(66.13%),其中高危ACA/Ph+组28例,非高危ACA/Ph+组13例;无ACA/Ph+组21例。高危ACA/Ph+组患者中位PLT水平(42.5×109/L)低于非高危(141×109/L)和无ACA/Ph+组(109×109/L)(χ2=4.968,P=0.083);三组间ABL激酶区点突变发生率差异无统计学意义(P=0.652)。高危ACA/Ph+组CCyR率显著低于无ACA/Ph+组(5.3%对46.7%,χ2=5.851,P=0.016)。高危ACA/Ph+组5年OS率为46.2%,非高危ACA/Ph+组为64.3%,无ACA/Ph+组为77.8%,其中高危ACA/Ph+组患者5年OS率明显低于无ACA/Ph+组(χ2=3.878,P=0.049)。亚组分析显示高危Ⅰ组(+8,+Ph或含+8/+Ph的复杂ACA)CML患者的5年OS率为54.5%,与无ACA/Ph+组相比差异无统计学意义(χ2=1.514,P=0.219);高危Ⅱ组[含−7/7q−或i(17q)或含2个及以上高危ACA的复杂核型]为28.6%,显著低于无ACA/Ph+组(χ2=8.035,P=0.005)。 结论 因ACA类型和疾病分期不同,伴ACA/Ph+ CML患者的治疗反应和预后存在差异,治疗过程中高危ACA的出现意味着更差的治疗反应和预后,严格、规范的细胞遗传学监测对此类患者的早期发现和精准诊疗具有重要意义。

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the etiology of necrotizing pneumonia (NP) in children and the clinical characteristics of NP caused by different pathogens in China. Methods: A retrospective, case-control study was performed in children with NP who were admitted to 13 hospitals in China from January 2008 to December 2019. The demographic and clinical information, laboratory data, etiological and radiological findings were analyzed. The data were divided into three groups based on the following years: 2008-2011, 2012-2015 and 2016-2019, and the distribution characteristics of the pathogens in different period were compared. Meanwhile, the pathogens of pediatric NP in the southern and northern China were compared. And the clinical characteristics of the Mycoplasma pneumoniae (MP) NP and the bacterial NP were also compared. T-test or Mann-Whitney nonparametric test was used for comparison of numerical variables, and χ2 test was used for categorical variables. Results: A total of 494 children with NP were enrolled, the median ages were 4.7 (0.1-15.3) years, including 272 boys and 222 girls. Among these patients, pathogens were identified in 347 cases and the pathogen was unclear in the remaining 147 cases. The main pathogens were MP (238 cases), Streptococcus pneumoniae (SP) (61 cases), Staphylococcus aureus (SA) (51 cases), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (13 cases), Haemophilus influenzae (10 cases), adenovirus (10 cases), and influenza virus A (7 cases), respectively. MP was the most common pathogen in all three periods and the proportion increased yearly. The proportion of MP in 2016-2019 was significantly higher than that in 2012-2015 (52.1% (197/378) vs. 36.8% (32/87), χ2=6.654, P=0.010), while there was no significant difference in the proportion of MP in 2012-2015 and that in 2008-2011 (36.8% (32/87) vs. 31.0% (9/29), χ²=0.314, P=0.575).Regarding the regional distribution, 342 cases were in the southern China and 152 in the northern China. Also, MP was the most common pathogen in both regions, but the proportion of MP was higher and the proportion of SP was lower in the north than those in the south (60.5% (92/152) vs. 42.7% (146/342), χ2=13.409, P<0.010; 7.9% (12/152) vs. 14.3% (49/342), χ2=4.023, P=0.045). Comparing the clinical characteristics of different pathogens, we found that fever and cough were the common symptoms in both single MP and single bacterial groups, but chest pain was more common (17.0% (34/200) vs. 6.1% (6/98), χ2=6.697, P=0.010) while shortness of breath and wheezing were less common in MP group (16.0% (32/200) vs. 60.2% (59/98), χ2=60.688, P<0.01; 4.5% (9/200) vs. 21.4% (21/98), χ2=20.819, P<0.01, respectively). The white blood cell count, C-reactive protein and procalcitonin in the bacterial group were significantly higher than those in the MP group (14.7 (1.0-67.1)×109/L vs. 10.5 (2.5-32.2)×109/L, 122.5 (0.5-277.3) mg/L vs. 51.4 (0.5-200.0) g/L, 2.13 (0.05-100.00) μg/L vs. 0.24 (0.01-18.85) μg/L, Z=-3.719, -5.901 and -7.765, all P<0.01). Conclusions: The prevalence of pediatric NP in China shows an increasing trend during the past years. MP, SP and SA are the main pathogens of NP, and the most common clinical symptoms are fever and cough. The WBC count, C-reactive protein and procalcitonin in bacterial NP are significantly higher than those caused by MP.

Abstract
With the development of Huizhou studies and its medical history becoming a new growth area of Chinese historiography, the medical social history in Huizhou has been a focus in academic fields, and a series of research achievements have been reported. However, as far as the current research is concerned, some problems and deficiencies are still there, such as the lack of attention to the life of individuals; insufficient attention to the integration of "internal history" and "external history" of Xin'an medicine; and few comparative studies of medical history between Huizhou and other regions. In this sense, future research should be expected to focus on Huizhou medical social history, to present the daily medical world of Huizhou "people", to explore the core of Xin'an medical knowledge, and to understand the relationship between medicine and region by comparison.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the consistency of peripheral whole blood and venous serum procalcitonin (PCT) levels, and the value of peripheral whole blood PCT in evaluating pediatric bacterial infection. Methods: This multicenter cross-sectional parallel control study was conducted in 11 children's hospital. All the 1 898 patients older than 28 days admitted to these hospitals from March 2018 to February 2019 had their peripheral whole blood and venous serum PCT detected simultaneously with unified equipment, reagent and method. According to the venous serum PCT level, the patients were stratified to subgroups. Analysis of variance and chi-square test were used to compare the demographic characteristics among groups. And the correlation between the peripheral blood and venous serum PCT level was investigated by quantitative Pearson correlation analysis.The PCT resultes were also converted into ranked data to further test the consistency between the two sampling methods by Spearman's rank correlation test. Furthermore, the ranked data were converted into binary data to evaluate the consistency and investigate the best cut-off of peripheral blood PCT level in predicting bacterial infection. Results: A total of 1 898 valid samples were included (1 098 males, 800 females),age 27.4(12.2,56.7) months. There was a good correlation between PCT values of peripheral whole blood and venous serum (r=0.97, P<0.01). The linear regression equation was PCTvenous serum=0.135+0.929×PCTperipheral whole blood. However, when stratified to 5 levels, PCT results showed diverse and unsatisfied consistency between the two sampling methods (r=0.51-0.92, all P<0.01). But after PCT was converted to ordinal categorical variables, the stratified analysis showed that the coincidence rate of the measured values by the two sampling methods in each boundary area was 84.9%-97.1%. The dichotomous variables also showed a good consistency (coincidence rate 96.8%-99.3%, Youden index 0.82-0.89). According to the severity of disease, the serum PCT value was classified into 4 intervals(<0.5、0.5-<2.0、2.0-<10.0、≥10.0 μg/L), and the peripheral blood PCT value also showed a good predictive value (AUC value was 0.991 2-0.997 9). The optimal cut points of peripheral whole blood PCT value 0.5、1.0、2.0、10.0 μg/L corresponding to venous serum PCT values were 0.395, 0.595, 1.175 and 3.545 μg/L, respectively. Conclusions: There is a good correlation between peripheral whole blood PCT value and the venous serum PCT value, which means that the peripheral whole blood PCT could facilitate the identification of infection and clinical severity. Besides, the sampling of peripheral whole blood is simple and easy to repeat.

Abstract
目的 探讨初诊急性髓系白血病(AML)合并骨髓纤维化(MF)患者的基因突变、临床及预后特征。 方法 2016年1月1日至2020年2月1日河南省人民医院收治的初诊并同时行骨髓活组织检查的103例AML患者纳入研究,根据WHO(2016)骨髓纤维化分级标准将患者分为AML伴MF组(MF-1~3)与AML不伴MF组(MF-0),并对两组患者的临床特征、基因突变、疗效和预后进行回顾性比较。 结果 ①103例患者中AML伴MF组46例(44.7%),其中MF-1 39例(84.8%),MF-2/3 7例(15.2%);AML不伴MF组57例(55.3%)。和AML不伴MF组相比,AML伴MF组中位WBC显著增高[11.205(0.69~191.82)×109/L对4.64(0.18~95.10)×109/L,P=0.024];外周血出现有核红细胞的比例明显增高(43.5%对24.6%,χ2=4.119,P=0.042);FAB分型:4例AML-M0患者均在AML伴MF组,而AML不伴MF组AML-M2所占比例更高(P=0.014)。②AML伴MF组患者FLT3-ITD及NPM1基因突变率更高(15.2%对1.8%,P=0.021;26.1%对10.5%,P=0.039),而CEBPA基因突变率明显低于AML不伴MF组(2.2%对17.5%,P=0.029)。③AML伴MF组完全缓解(CR)率显著低于AML不伴MF组(69.7%对93.2%,χ2=7.412,P=0.006)。多因素分析显示MF,尤其是纤维化程度是影响初诊AML患者CR的独立危险因素。④AML伴MF组3年总生存(OS)率明显低于AML不伴MF组(20.5%对72.2%,χ2=4.032,P=0.045);亚组分析显示MF-1和MF-2/3两组患者的OS率、无进展生存(PFS)率显著低于AML不伴MF组(P=0.001)。Cox多因素分析显示MF,尤其是MF-2/3是影响初诊AML患者OS和PFS的独立危险因素(P值分别为0.021和0.044)。 结论 AML合并MF患者具有较为独特的实验室及临床特征;MF是影响AML患者CR、OS和PFS的独立预后不良指标,MF的评估对初诊AML的疗效和预后判断具有重要意义。

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the relationship between matrix Gla protein(MGP) and clinical characteristics of patients with ulcerative colitis (UC). Methods: Fifty-one UC patients who were admitted to the gastroenterology department of Peking union medical college hospital from July 1, 2015 to May 31, 2017 were included. Twenty-seven healthy subjects in the same period were included as normal controls. The expression of MGP mRNA in the colonic mucosa was detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR. Clinical data of the patients were collected during a 2-year follow-up. The public data set containing MGP gene expression profile of UC patients was downloaded from the GEO database, and was divided into four groups according to the microscopic Mayo score. The differential expression of MGP in each group was analyzed. Results: All the fifty-one UC patients were followed up. The expression of MGP mRNA in the colonic mucosa of UC patients treated with hormone and immunosuppressive agents or biological agents or surgery was higher than that of patients treated with mesalazine. MGP mRNA expression was positively correlated with C-reactive protein level. It was also higher in the colonic mucosa of UC patients with clostridium difficilis or cytomegalovirus infection than that of patients without opportunistic infection. The difference of MGP mRNA expression between groups in GEO public data set was statistically significant(P<0.01), showing an up-regulation trend with the aggravation of inflammation. The expression level of MGP was moderately correlated with the microscopic Mayo score. The relationship between MGP mRNA expression and lifestyle, lesion range, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, parenteral manifestations and recurrence frequency of UC patients was not obvious. Conclusions: MGP is associated with colonic inflammation and its abnormal expression can help to predict the disease activity of patients with UC.

Abstract
1. H-FABP (heart-type fatty acid-binding protein) is an important fatty acid-binding protein that participates in the metabolism and intracellular transportation of lipids. This study was designed to study the H-FABP gene expression and genetic association with meat quality traits in domestic pigeons.2. The spatio-temporal expression patterns showed that H-FABP was widely expressed in all eleven tissues in birds from hatching to 4 weeks of age, and the expression level in the liver was the highest, and spleen and subcutaneous fat showed relatively high levels at all time points, and increased markedly as squabs became older.3. Nine novel SNPs were found; three of them (g.42 C > T and g.123 C > T in exon 1 and g.3128 C > T in exon 2) were synonymous mutations, and six of them (g.3304 T > C, g.3305 G > A, g.3313A>G, g.3343 C > T, g.3372A>C, g.3410 T > C in exon 3) were located in the 3' untranslated region (UTR). In addition, four haplotypes and six diplotypes were formed and showed weak linkage disequilibrium. Association analysis showed that in the SNP of g.3305 G > A, the AB genotype showed higher (P < 0.05) inosinic acid concentrations in breast muscle than the BB genotype. In the SNP of g.3313A>G, the AA and AB genotypes showed significantly higher (P < 0.01) inosinic acid concentrations than the BB genotype, AA showed the highest intramuscular fat content, and the relative mRNA expression level of the AA genotype was the highest (P < 0.05).4. Association analysis of diplotypes showed no correlation with meat quality traits. Moreover, correlation analysis indicated that the H-FABP mRNA expression level was tightly related to intramuscular fat content (P < 0.01).5. This study suggested that the H-FABP gene may be a candidate gene in marker-assisted selection of pigeons for high-quality meat.

Abstract
This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of iron glycine chelate (Fe-Gly) on egg quality of laying hens. A total of 810 laying hens (HyLine Variety White, 26 wk old) were randomly assigned to 6 groups, and each group consisting of 135 hens (5 replicates of 27 hens each). Hens in the control group received a diet supplemented with 60 mg Fe/kg as FeSO4, whereas hens in the other 5 groups received diets supplemented with 0, 20, 40, 60, and 80 mg Fe/kg from Fe-Gly, respectively. The study showed that dietary Fe-Gly treatments influenced (P < 0.05) the internal egg quality (egg weight, Haugh unit, albumen height), compared with the control group. However, dietary Fe-Gly supplementation showed few effects on the ultrastructure of eggshell in this study. The group of 60 mg Fe/kg as Fe-Gly was promoted (P < 0.05) in succinate dehydrogenase levels of liver and spleen compared with the 0 mg Fe-Gly/kg group, whereas the control (Fe/kg as FeSO4) group has no differences compared with the 0 mg Fe-Gly/kg group. The concentrations of Fe in the eggshell, yolk, and albumen were increased with increasing concentrations of Fe-Gly, where Fe-Gly (60, 80 mg Fe/kg) had higher (P < 0.01) Fe concentration than the control in yolk and albumen. The Fe-Gly groups (60, 80 mg Fe/kg) were influenced (P < 0.05) in transferrin, divalent mental transport 1, and ferroportin 1, compared with the control (FeSO4). In conclusion, Fe-Gly (60 mg Fe/kg) improved egg quality and egg iron enrichment. In general, there were no significant differences between Fe-Gly (40) and the control group in albumen height, Haugh unit, Fe concentration in eggshell and yolk. It revealed that FeSO4 could be substituted by a lower concentration of Fe-Gly and Fe-Gly may be superior to FeSO4 for egg quality in laying hens.

Abstract
The present study aimed to evaluate the effects of excess dietary fluoride (F) on laying performance, egg quality, tissue retention, serum biochemical indices, and serum reproductive hormones of laying hens. A total of 384 Hy-Line Gray hens, 37 wk old, were treated with sodium fluoride added to a corn-soybean meal basal diet at 0, 400, 800, and 1200 mg fluorine/kg feed. The results showed that dietary F levels at 800 and 1200 mg/kg markedly decreased ADFI, laying rate, average egg weight, and increased feed conversion ratio (FCR) (P < 0.05). Dietary F levels at 800 and 1200 mg/kg dramatically decreased the egg quality of albumen height, yolk color, eggshell strength, and eggshell thickness, and on the 49th D, 400 mg/kg F group significantly decreased the eggshell strength, compared to those of control group. Fluoride residues in tissues of hens were increased significantly with the increase of dietary F supplemental levels (P < 0.05). Fluoride concentrations were generally high in feces, eggshell, tibia, kidney, and ovary, and the highest in feces, following with eggshell and tibia, lower in kidney and ovary, and the lowest in serum. Serum uric acid levels and alanine aminotransferase activity increased significantly (P < 0.05), and glucose, triglycerides, and phosphorus decreased significantly (P < 0.05) in response to dietary F concentration, compared to those of the control group, respectively. Dietary F supplementation at 1200 mg/kg significantly decreased (P < 0.05) the estrogen concentrations in serum, compared to those of the control group. Concentrations of progesterone in the fluoride-treated groups were significantly (P < 0.05) decreased relative to those of the control group. In conclusion, these results indicated that the excessive ingestion of F has had a detrimental effect on egg laying rate and quality of eggs by damaging the function of the liver, kidney, and ovary of laying hens.

Abstract
Reproduction trait is one of the most important economic traits in poultry industry. This study was aimed to investigate the mRNA expression levels, single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) of POMC gene, and the association with reproduction traits in chickens. Five SNP (g.958 G > A, g.1374 G > C, g.1393 G > A, g.1817 C > T, and g.1918G > A) were detected in introns of POMC gene in 317 Zhenning yellow chickens. Association analysis revealed that g.958 G > A and g.1817 C > T showed significantly associations with fertilization rate, hatching rate of hatching eggs, and hatching rate of fertilized eggs in chickens. Simultaneously, g.1374 G > C and g.1918G > A were both associated with egg weight at 300 D of age (P < 0.05). The SNP of g.958 G > A, g.1393 G > A, and g.1817 C > T were all associated with E2 hormone levels (P < 0.05). The result of mRNA expression levels in different tissues showed that POMC mRNA expression level in the pituitary was higher than those in the other tissues and varied in different genotypes. In conclusion, the results in this study provided new evidences that polymorphisms of the POMC gene have potential effects on reproduction traits in chickens. The 5 SNP detected in this study could be potential markers for improving reproduction traits in chickens.

Abstract
目的 探讨血友病A(HA)患儿凝血因子Ⅷ(FⅧ)抑制物产生的相关因素及抑制物产生前后出血与关节病表现的差异。 方法 对2015年1月至2018年8月河南省血友病管理中心登记收治的381例16岁以下HA患儿进行回顾性分析。 结果 381例HA患儿中,轻型116例(30.4%),中间型196例(51.4%),重型69例(18.1%)。FⅧ抑制物阳性患者54例(14.2%),高滴度、低滴度分别为22、32例。血友病家族史与FⅧ抑制物阳性相关[P<0.001,OR=3.299(95%CI 1.743~5.983)];高强度暴露与FⅧ抑制物的产生相关[P=0.002,OR=2.587(95%CI 1.414~4.731)]。高强度暴露与高滴度FⅧ抑制物产生相关[P=0.001,OR=8.689(95%CI 2.464~30.638)]。54例HA患者产生抑制物后,总体关节年出血率、创伤性年出血率增加(z=−3.440,P=0.001;z=−2.232,P=0.026),而非关节年出血率、自发性年出血率与抑制物产生前比较差异无统计学意义(z=−1.342,P=0.180;z=−1.414,P=0.157)。关节超声评分较产生抑制物前差异无统计学意义(z=−0.632,P=0.527)。 结论 血友病家族史、高强度暴露可增加HA患儿发生FⅧ抑制物的风险,且高强度暴露可增加HA患者出现高滴度抑制物的风险。

Abstract
The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of dietary linoleic acid (LA) on growth performance, antioxidant capacity, and lipid metabolism in pigeon squabs by supplementing LA in their parental diets. A completely randomized design that consisted of a control group, 1% dietary LA addition group (LA1%), 2% dietary LA addition group (LA2%), and 4% dietary LA addition group (LA4%) was used. Six squabs from each treatment were randomly sampled at the day of hatch and days 7, 14, and 21 after hatch. The results showed that parental dietary LA had no significant influence (P > 0.05) on body weight (BW) gain or relative organ weights (% of BW) in squabs. The activities of superoxide dismutase, catalase, and glutathione peroxidase in the LA1% were significantly increased (P < 0.05) compared with those in the control group. The malondialdehyde content in the LA1% was significantly lower (P < 0.05) than that in the control group. The levels of serum triglyceride in the LA1% and LA2% were significantly decreased (P < 0.05) compared with those in the control group, whereas the serum high-density lipoprotein cholesterol level in the LA1% and LA2% and the free fatty acid level in the LA4% were significantly higher (P < 0.05) than those of the control group. The activities of lipoprotein lipase, hepatic lipase, and hormone-sensitive lipase in the LA1% were significantly higher (P < 0.05) than those in the control group. The 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase activity in the LA1% and the hormone-sensitive lipase activity in the LA4% were significantly decreased (P < 0.05) compared with those in the control group. The mRNA expression of carnitine palmitoyltransferase 1, acyl-CoA 1, and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor α was significantly upregulated (P < 0.05) in the LA1% compared with that in the control group. The Oil Red O staining area in the LA1% and LA2% was significantly reduced compared with that in the control group. The results indicated that although supplemental LA had negligible effects on growth and development in pigeon squabs, parental dietary LA at a concentration of 1% could have beneficial effects on maintaining squabs healthy as reflected by improved antioxidant capacity and lipid metabolism.

Abstract
Objective To investigate the effects of Akkermansia muciniphila ( A. muciniphila) on the proliferation, apoptosis and insulin secretion of rat pancreatic islet cell tumor cells (INS-1). Methods INS-1 cells were divided into three groups, normal, repair, and protect groups, and subsequently every group was subjected with A. muciniphila metabolites, live A. muciniphilaorpasteurized A. muciniphila for 48 h. A group that did not treat with anything was set as blank control. After intervention, the cell viability was determined by MTT method, the insulin secretion level stimulated by glucose was determined by ELISA, the expressions of the genes involved in insulin secretion and apoptosis were tested by qRT-PCR, and the expression of apoptosis related protein Bax was evaluated by Western blot. Results There was no significant change in INS-1 cell morphology after co-incubation with 3 types of A. Muciniphila interventions for 48 h. The proliferative activity of INS-1 cells was decreased in the repair group that treated with live A. muciniphila than that of control ( P<0.005). A. muciniphila intervention had no effect on insulin secretion in INS-1 cells in normal, repair or protection group ( P>0.05). A. muciniphila secretions promoted the expression of glucose transporter 2 ( Glut2) in 3 groups and the expression of glucokinase ( GCK) in repair group ( P<0.05). The expression of Baxof the INS-1 cell in the normal group was decreased after intervented with 3 kinds of A. muciniphila intervention materials ( P<0.001).The expression of Bax gene of the INS-1 cell in the repair group that treated with dead A. muciniphilawas decreased ( P<0.05). The expression of Bax protein of INS-1 cells that treated with A. muciniphila interventions was decreased. Conclusion A. muciniphila can promote the expression of insulin secretion-related genes in INS-1 cells, inhibit the expression of apoptotic genes and apoptosis protein Bax.This research provides a new direction for applying A. muciniphila in improving type 2 diabetes.

Abstract
This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of in ovo feeding (IOF) of L-lysine (Lys) on hatchability and development in pigeon neonates. At day 13 of incubation, fertile eggs were injected with 200 μL of sterilized saline (0.75%, SC group), 1% Conc. Lys solution (Lys group, 2.11 mg Lys dissolved in 200 μL of sterilized saline), with controls not injected (NC group). The results showed that IOF of Lys decreased the hatchability (P < 0.05) compared with other groups, whereas the hatching time was not affected among groups. On day 14 of post-hatch (D14), the body weight (BW) of squabs received Lys IOF was increased relative to the NC group (P < 0.05). Squabs in Lys group exhibited higher (P < 0.05) body weight gain (BWG) than other groups from D14 to day of hatch (DOH). Meanwhile, IOF of Lys increased the brain relative weight on DOH (P < 0.05), and organ index of heart, legs, and gizzard on day 7 of post-hatch (D7) compared with other groups. In addition, the length index of duodenum, jejunum, or ileum had no difference between groups, as well as the weight index except the weight index of duodenum in Lys group was higher than that of SC group on DOH. However, squabs received Lys IOF showed lower villus height, crypt depth, and villus surface area of jejunum than NC group (P < 0.05) on DOH, and lower crypt depth than NC and SC groups on D7. The situation was improved by D14, although there was no significant difference in morphometric trait of jejunum between Lys group and NC group, squabs received Lys IOF showed higher villus height, crypt depth, and villus surface area of jejunum than NC group. In conclusion, the present study demonstrates that IOF of Lys has negative effects on hatchability and development of early post-hatch squabs, but the situation will be improved with the growth of age.

Abstract
Myostatin (MSTN) is a negative regulator of skeletal muscle growth and plays an important role in muscle development. In this research, we constructed a tissue expression profile of the pigeon MSTN gene in eight tissues and a spatio-temporal expression profile in the pectoral muscle using qRT-PCR method. And the pectoralis muscle fiber traits during pigeon post-hatching stages at 1, 7, 14, 21, and 28 D were analyzed through the paraffin sections. Then the correlations between the muscle fiber diameter, cross-sectional area, density, and the expression of MSTN in the pectoral muscle were analyzed. Results showed that MSTN mRNA was mainly expressed in breast muscle, heart, spleen, and kidney and it was almost unexpressed in the liver and lungs. Moreover, the MSTN mRNA expression level in breast muscle was significantly higher than that in other tissues (P < 0.05), and showed an interesting trend that it decreased in the first week and then increased with age. Meanwhile, decrease of myostatin transcripts was accompanied by the down-regulation of Myf5 and the up-regulation of MyoG during the first week post-hatching. In addition, the paraffin sections analysis results revealed that the diameter and cross-sectional area of pectoralis muscle fiber significantly increased with age (P < 0.05), and a significant positive correlation was shown between the MSTN gene expression level and muscle fiber diameter (P < 0.05). These fundamental researches might contribute to further understanding of the roles MSTN played in the post-hatching muscle fiber development in pigeon.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the risk factors of anastomotic leakage (AL) after laparoscopic surgery in rectal cancer patient with neoadjuvant therapy and construct a nomogram prediction model. Methods: This study was a retrospective case-control study that collected and reviewed the clinicopathological data of 359 patients who underwent laparoscopic surgery from January 2012 to January 2018, including 202 patients from the Department of General Surgery, Nanfang Hospital of Southern Medical University and 157 patients from the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery of Fujian Provincial Cancer Hospital. Inclusion criteria: (1) age ≥ 18 years old; (2) diagnosis as rectal cancer by biopsy before treatment; (3) distance from tumor to anus within 12 cm; (4) locally advanced stage (T3-T4 or N+) diagnosed by imaging (CT, MRI, PET or ultrasound); (5) standardized neoadjuvant therapy followed by laparoscopic radical operation. Exclusion criteria: (1) previous history of colorectal cancer surgery; (2) short-term or incomplete standardized neoadjuvant therapy; (3) Miles, Hartmann, emergency surgery, palliative resection; (4) conversion to open surgery. Clinicopathological data, including age, gender, body mass index (BMI), preoperative albumin, distance from tumor to anus, operation hospital, American Society of Anesthesiologists score (ASA score), operation time, T stage, N stage, M stage, TNM stage, pathological complete response (pCR) were analyzed with univariate analysis to identify predictors for AL after laparoscopic surgery in rectal cancer patient with neoadjuvant therapy. Then, incorporated predictors of AL, which were screened by multivariate logistic regression, were plotted by the "rms" package in R software to establish a nomogram model. According to the scale of the nomogram of each risk factor, the total score could be obtained by adding each single score, then the corresponding probability of postoperative AL could be acquired. The area under ROC curve (AUC) was used to evaluate the predictive ability of each risk factor and nomogram on model. AUC > 0.75 indicated that the model had good predictive ability. The Bootstrap method (1000 bootstrapping resamples) was applied as internal verification to show the robustness of the model. The discrimination of the nomogram was determined by calculating the average consistency index (C-index) whose rage was 0.5 to 1.0. Higher C-index indicated better consistency with actual risk. The calibration curve was used to assess the calibration of prediction model. The Hosmer-Lemeshow test yielding a non-significant statistic (P>0.05) suggested no departure from the perfect fit. Results: Of 359 cases, 224 were male, 135 were female, 189 were ≥ 55 years old, 98 had a BMI > 24 kg/m(2), 176 had preoperative albumin ≤ 40 g/L, 128 had distance from tumor to anus ≤ 5 cm, 257 were TNM 0-II stage, 102 were TNM III-IV stage, and 84 achieved pCR after neoadjuvant therapy. The incidence of postoperative AL was 9.5% (34/359). Univariate analysis showed that gender, preoperative albumin and distance from tumor to the anus were associated with postoperative AL (All P<0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that male (OR=2.480, 95% CI: 1.012-6.077, P=0.047), preoperative albumin ≤40 g/L (OR=5.319, 95% CI: 2.106-13.433, P<0.001) and distance from tumor to anus ≤ 5 cm (OR=4.339, 95% CI: 1.990-9.458, P<0.001) were significant independent risk factors for postoperative AL. According to these results, a nomogram prediction model was constructed. The male was for 55 points, the preoperative albumin ≤ 40 g/L was for 100 points, and the distance from tumor to the anus ≤ 5 cm was for 88 points. Adding all the points of each risk factor, the corresponding probability of total score would indicated the morbidity of postoperative AL predicted by this nomogram modal. The AUC of the nomogram was 0.792 (95% CI: 0.729-0.856), and the C-index was 0.792 after internal verification. The calibration curve showed that the predictive results were well correlated with the actual results (P=0.562). Conclusions: Male, preoperative albumin ≤ 40 g/L and distance from tumor to the anus ≤ 5 cm are independent risk factors for AL after laparoscopic surgery in rectal cancer patient with neoadjuvant therapy. The nomogram prediction model is helpful to predict the probability of AL after surgery.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of in ovo injection of histidine on hatch performance and post-hatch development by determining hatchability, hatching time, BW gain, carcass traits, and intestinal morphology in domestic pigeons (Columba livia). A completely randomized design (n = 3) with a L-histidine injection treatment (His group, 0.55 mg histidine dissolved in 200 μL 0.75% saline as 1% Conc compared to total histidine in the egg), a 0.75% saline injection treatment (SC group), and non-injection treatment (NC group) was used. Six squabs from each treatment were randomly sampled at day of hatch (DOH), day 7 (D7), and day 14 (D14) post hatch, respectively. Results showed that in ovo injection of histidine solution increased (P < 0.01) the hatchability in comparison with that of other groups. The hatching time of His group was earlier (P = 0.05) than that of the NC group. In ovo injection of histidine had no influence (P > 0.05) on BW gain and carcass traits, but had a significant effect on the organ index of pigeons. The index of pancreas on DOH, the indices of leg, gizzard, proventriculus, small intestine, and pancreas on D7, and the index of head on D14 were significantly increased (P < 0.05) by injection of histidine. Moreover, in ovo injection of histidine had significant effects on the weight indices of different intestinal segments and jejunal morphology in squabs. Ileum weight index on D7 from His group was significantly higher (P < 0.05) than that of other groups. Compared with the NC group, the jejunal crypt depth on DOH and D7 of His group decreased (P < 0.05), while jejunal villus area and villus crypt ratio on D7 of His group increased (P < 0.05). The results of this study indicate that in ovo injection of histidine may have beneficial effects on squabs' hatchability, intestinal development but have negligible effects on their growth performance during early post-hatch period.

Abstract
This study hypothesizes that in ovo sulfur amino acids (SAA) injection can alleviate the heat or oxidative stress of hatched chicks. Thus, the study aimed to assess the impact of in ovo injection of SAA with heat stress during the incubation on heat shock protein 70 (HSP70), corticosterone hormone, antioxidant indices, and lipid profile of newly hatched broiler chicks. Eggs were incubated under optimal incubation temperature (37.8°C) from days 1 to 10 then under high temperature (39.6°C for 6 h daily) between 10 and 18 D of the incubation. At day 17.5 of incubation, 150 eggs were randomly divided into 3 groups of 50 replicate eggs. The first group served as control (non-injected group, NIG), the second group was only injected with saline solution (saline-injected group, SIG), and the third group was injected with a mixture of 5.90 mg L-methionine plus 3.40 mg L-cysteine (sulfur amino acids-injected group, SAAIG). The results exhibited that serum HSP70 and corticosterone concentrations were significantly reduced (P < 0.001) in the SAAIG compared with the NIG and SIG. In ovo SAA injection significantly augmented the antioxidant indices in the serum and tissues compared with the NIG and SIG. HSP70 mRNA relative expression was decreased but glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) mRNA relative expression was augmented in the tested tissues (P < 0.001) in the SAAIG compared with the NIG. The SAAIG had significantly (P < 0.05) lower levels in serum lipid profile compared to those of the control and SIG. In conclusion, in ovo SAA injection (methionine plus cysteine) in the embryonated eggs exposed to heat stress increased GSH-Px gene expression and antioxidant indices, and reduced HSP70 gene expression, corticosterone concentrations, and lipid profile of newly hatched broiler chicks.

Abstract
This experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of dietary supplementation with Clostridium butyricum on laying performance, egg quality, serum parameters, and cecal microflora of laying hens in the late phase of production. Jinghong-1 strain laying hens (n = 960; 48 wk of age) were randomly allocated to 5 treatment groups with 6 replicates of 32 hens. Hens were fed with basal diet (control) and basal diet supplemented with 2.5 × 104 (CB1), 5 × 104 (CB2), 1 × 105 (CB3), and 2 × 105 (CB4) cfu/g C. butyricum for 10 wk. The results showed that egg production, egg mass, and eggshell strength increased quadratically as supplemental C. butyricum increased, and these responses were maximized in the CB2 group (P < 0.05). Compared with the control group, the addition of C. butyricum resulted in quadratic effects on serum total protein, uric acid, calcium, complement component C3 and catalase concentrations, and these responses were maximized or minimized in the CB2 group (P < 0.05). Linear and quadratic increases were observed in serum IgM, total superoxide dismutase, and glutathione peroxidase concentrations, and these responses were maximized in CB2 or CB3 group (P < 0.05). The addition of C. butyricum in the CB2 group resulted in linearly increasing levels of serum IgG concentration as compared with the control group (P < 0.05). Spleen index increased (P < 0.05) in the CB2 group. Hens fed with C. butyricum reduced (P > 0.05) the population of E. coli, while Bifidobacterium counts increased quadratically and maximized in the CB2 group (P < 0.05). In conclusion, the results indicated that dietary supplementation with C. butyricum (5 × 104 or 1 × 105 cfu/g) could improve laying performance and egg quality by promoting immune function, enhancing antioxidative capacity, and benefiting the cecal microflora of laying hens in the late phase of production.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinical and pathological characteristics of chronic active Epstein-Barr virus associated enteritis (CAEAE) . Methods: The clinical data of 6 CAEAE patients in Peking Union Medical College Hospital were retrospectively analyzed from January 2010 to November 2017, including clinical manifestations, endoscopic, pathological features, medications and clinical outcome. Results: The male∶female ratio was 4∶2 and the average age was 34 years old. All patients did not have personal and family history of immunodeficiency. The common symptoms consisted of fever (6/6), abdominal pain (6/6), hematochezia (6/6) and diarrhea (5/6). The most frequently affected sites were colorectum (5/6), followed by small intestine (3/6). Further serologic tests revealed a high load of serum Epstein-Barr virus(EBV) DNA. The main manifestations under endoscopy were multifocal or diffuse irregular ulcers. There was inflammation in the ulcer bases and surrounding areas, where EBV-encoded small RNA (EBER) was positive by in situ hybridization (6/6). The common complications were massive hemorrhage (3/6) and intestinal perforation (2/6). None of treatment agents including glucocorticoid, ganciclovir, foscarnet sodium and cytotoxic drugs was effective. All patients died within 0.5 to 13 months after diagnosis. Conclusions: CAEAE in immunocompetent individuals is a rare disorder with poor prognosis. It is difficult to differentiate CAEAE from inflammatory bowel disease due to similar clinical and endoscopic manifestations.

Abstract
Previous study in our lab showed that indigenous Xianju chickens from free-range system (FRS) under summer conditions had lower egg production than those from conventional cage rearing system (CRS). The objective of this study was to preliminarily determine the FRS-dependent mechanism of depressing laying performance according to determining the effect of rearing systems on reproductive hormones secretion and their receptors mRNA expression in Xianju chickens reared under summer conditions. A total of 360 indigenous Xianju chickens were randomly allocated to CRS and FRS groups, each of which included 5 replicates of 36 hens. The experiment lasted between 21 and 29 wk of age. We found that the ovarian weight, numbers of small yellow follicles, and large white follicles in the FRS group were lower than those in the CRS group (P < 0.05). Changing from CRS to FRS increased serum concentrations of prolactin and decreased serum-luteinizing hormone and progesterone levels (P < 0.05). Gene expressions in the preovulatory follicles from FRS hens were upregulated for prolactin receptor and downregulated for luteinizing hormone receptor and progesterone receptor, compared to those from CRS hens (P < 0.05). It can be concluded that changing from CRS to FRS in the current experimental conditions depressed egg production traits in Xianju chickens by inducing a synergistic activity of reproductive hormones and the gene expressions of their receptors.

Abstract
1. Adenylosuccinate lyase (ADSL) plays an important role in the synthesis of inosine monophosphate (IMP). In this trial, a total of 200 pigeons were sampled and slaughtered. Seven meat quality traits and 11 carcass traits were measured. DNA sequencing was used to detect nucleotide mutations, and associations between ADSL gene polymorphisms and meat quality and carcass traits were analysed. 2. Sequencing results showed that 9 nucleotide mutations were found in the exons of the ADSL gene. All the mutations were synonymous except C13065G, which caused a change in amino acids (Ser to Arg). In addition, two of the detected single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) had significant associations with meat quality and carcass traits. 3. For the C13065G SNP located in exon11, the IMP content of breast muscle in AA and AB genotype was higher than in the BB genotype (P < 0.01). The SNP G10696A located in exon10 was significantly associated with carcass rate, in which AA and AB genotype were higher than the BB genotype (P < 0.01). 4. The results indicated that the ADSL gene has a close association with meat quality and carcass traits in domestic pigeons, and G10696A and C13065G SNPs could be applied as genetic markers in molecular marker-assisted breeding of pigeons.

Abstract
The aim of this study was to test the effects of dietary L-arginine (Arg) levels on protein turnover in the small intestine and the expression of genes related to protein synthesis and proteolysis of laying hens. Xinyang Black commercial laying hens (n = 864, aged 217 d) were randomly distributed to 6 treatments with 4 replicates of 36 birds. The dietary treatments were corn-corn gluten meal based diets containing 0.64, 0.86, 1.03, 1.27, 1.42 and 1.66% L-Arg, respectively. Fractional protein synthesis rate (FSR) and fractional protein gain rate (FGR) in the jejunum were the highest in the 1.27% L-Arg group. The mRNA expression of target of rapamycin (TOR), ribosomal protein S6 kinase 1 (S6K1), and eukaryotic initiation factor 4E-binding protein 1 (4E-BP1) in the duodenum reached the highest in the 1.27% L-Arg group, while the mRNA expression of 20S proteasome (20S) was the lowest in the 1.27% L-Arg group. The mRNA abundances of TOR and S6K1 in the jejunum were the highest in the 1.27% L-Arg group, while the mRNA expression of 20S was the lowest in the 1.27% L-Arg group, and the protein expression and phosphorylation levels of TOR in the 1.27% L-Arg group were higher than those in the 0.64% L-Arg group. These results indicate that the action of an appropriate level of dietary L-Arg to improve the protein synthesis of the small intestine involves up-regulating the protein expression and phosphorylation level of TOR in the jejunum accompanied by inhibiting the mRNA expression of 20S of laying hens.

Abstract
This study investigated the effects of mercury chloride (HgCl2 ) on the deposition of mercury (Hg), histopathology and oxidative stress in liver and kidney of laying hens. The gene expressions of antioxidant enzymes and nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2)-Kelch-like ECH-associated protein 1 (Keap1) were further studied to uncover the molecular mechanism. A total of 960 40-week-old Hyline brown laying hens were randomly allocated to five treatments with eight pens per treatment and 24 hens per pen. The hens were fed with five experimental diets containing graded levels of Hg at 0.270, 1.250, 3.315, 9.405 and 27.230 mg/kg respectively. Results revealed that both deposition of Hg and score of injury in liver and kidney were significantly increased as dietary Hg dosage up to 27.230 mg/kg diet. Deposition of Hg was positively related to score of injury in liver and kidney of laying hens. Besides, the activities of superoxidative dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione reductase (GR) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), and glutathione (GSH) content all significantly decreased (p < 0.05), while malondialdehyde (MDA) content significantly increased (p < 0.05) after Hg exposure in liver and kidney of laying hens. In addition, positive relationships occurred between antioxidant enzyme activities and antioxidant enzyme gene expressions except between SOD activity and manganese superoxide dismutase (MnSOD) gene expression in liver. Meanwhile, Nrf2 gene expression was positively related to antioxidant gene expressions and negatively connected with Keap1 gene expression. Negative relationships occurred between Nrf2 and Keap1 protein levels in liver and kidney. In conclusion, Hg could dose-dependently damage liver and kidney and induced hepatic and renal oxidative stress by means of suppressing Nrf2-Keap1 signalling molecule in laying hens.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The existing reports about intergenerational or transgenerational effects of intrauterine hyperglycemia have included both intrauterine and postnatal metabolic exposure factors, while the impact of intrauterine hyperglycemia per se has not been assessed alone. A number of studies suggest DNA methylation reprogramming of gametes plays a crucial role in the metabolic inheritance, but it is unclear when and how DNA methylation patterns are altered when exposed to intrauterine hyperglycemia. In this study, we selected nondiabetic F1- and F2-gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) male mice as founders to examine metabolic changes in the next generation and performed methylome sequencing of day 13.5 primordial germ cells (PGCs) from F1-GDM to explore the underlying epigenetic mechanism. RESULTS We found that intrauterine hyperglycemia exposure resulted in obesity, insulin resistance, and/or glucose intolerance in F2 male mice, but no metabolic changes in F3 male mice at 8 weeks. Using reduced representation bisulfite sequencing, we found DNA methylome of day 13.5 PGCs from F1-GDM fetuses revealed differently methylated genes enriched in obesity and diabetes. Methylation validation of the insulin resistance and fat accumulation gene Fyn showed a consistent hypomethylation status in F1 PGCs, F1 fetal testes, sperm from F1/C-GDM mice, and somatic cells from F2-GDM male mice. In contrast, no methylation alteration was observed in F2-GDM male germ cells and F3-GDM somatic cells. CONCLUSION We provide evidence that intrauterine hyperglycemia exposure per se contributes to intergenerational metabolic changes in the F2 but not F3 generation. And the aberrant DNA methylation reprogramming occurs as early as day 13.5 in PGCs of the F1 generation. Our findings suggest that intrauterine exposure alone is sufficient to cause the epigenetic inheritance in F2 offspring, and the epigenetic memory carried by DNA methylation pattern could be erased by the second wave of methylation reprogramming in F2 PGCs during fetal development.

Abstract
The objective of this study was to compare the laying performance, egg quality, and serum biochemistry of hens maintained in conventional cage rearing system (CRS), flat net-rearing system (NRS), and free range system (FRS) under summer conditions. Indigenous Xianju chickens (n = 540) were randomly allocated into cages or pens of rearing system groups, within each system there were 5 replicates with 36 hens in each replicate. The experiment lasted between 21 and 29 wk of age. Hen-day egg production (P = 0.00) and egg mass (P = 0.00) were higher in the CRS but were similar in the NRS and FRS. Lowest egg weight (P = 0.02), yolk weight (P = 0.00) and yolk ratio (P = 0.01), and feed intake (P = 0.01) were observed from the FRS, whereas lowest feed conversion ratio (FCR) was recorded from the CRS (P = 0.01). Rearing systems had negligible effect on egg quality. Serum Ca (P = 0.04) and total protein (P = 0.03) levels were found to be higher in the CRS but were lower in the FRS. Serum levels of glucose (P = 0.01), cholesterol (P = 0.00), and triglyceride (P = 0.00) in the CRS increased compared with the NRS and FRS groups, whereas serum levels of high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C; P = 0.01) in the CRS decreased. It can be concluded that under summer conditions, Xianju chickens from CRS had an advantage in terms of productivity parameters, but exhibited higher levels of serum lipids and glucose.

Abstract
The effects of supplemental dietary threonine (Thr) on laying performance, expression of intestinal mucin 2 (MUC2) and secretory IgA (sIgA), and intestinal microbiota of laying hens fed a low CP diet were investigated. A total of 240 Lohmann Brown laying hens, 28 wk of age, was allocated to 3 dietary treatments, each of which included 5 replicates of 16 hens. Hens were fed a control diet (16% CP), a low CP diet (14% CP), or a low CP diet supplemented with 0.3% L-Thr for 12 weeks. Chemical analyses of the diets for Thr are 0.49, 0.45, and 0.69%, respectively. Lowering dietary CP impaired egg production and egg mass of laying hens. Dietary Thr supplementation to the low CP diet increased (P < 0.05) egg production and egg mass. In addition, ileal sIgA contents and MUC2 and sIgA mRNA expression were increased (P < 0.05) by dietary Thr addition. Dietary CP reduction reduced (P < 0.05) intestinal bacterial diversity, whereas dietary Thr supplementation to the low CP diet recovered the bacteria diversity and significantly increased the abundance of potential beneficial bacteria. In conclusion, dietary Thr supplementation to a low CP diet could affect intestinal health and hence productivity via regulating intestinal mucin and sIgA expression, and microbial population of laying hens.

Abstract
The objective of this research was to test the hypothesis that in ovo feeding of arginine (Arg) may improve hatchability and posthatch performance in domestic pigeons (). A completely randomized design ( = 3) with an Arg feeding treatment (Arg group, 1.14 mg Arg dissolved in 200 μL of 0.75% NaCl buffered saline as 1% concentration compared to total Arg in the egg), a buffered saline feeding treatment (SC group, 7.5 g NaCl dissolved in 1 L sterile distilled water as the concentration of poultry physiological saline), and a nonfeeding treatment (NC group) was used. Six squabs from each treatment were randomly sampled on day of hatch (DOH), posthatch d 7 (D7), and posthatch d 14 (D14), respectively. Hatchability, hatch time, BW, organ development, and carcass traits were examined. Results showed that in ovo feeding of the Arg solution increased ( < 0.05) the hatchability and advanced ( < 0.05) the hatching time in comparison with those of the other groups. Body weight of pigeon squabs that received Arg in ovo feeding was heavier ( < 0.05) on DOH and D14 than that of the NC group, and a greater ( < 0.05) BW gain from DOH to D14 and D7 to D14 was observed. Three clusters of 12 organs were classified according to the changes of organ indices. Squabs provided the Arg in ovo feeding treatment gained a priority in organ development. The heart index and gizzard index on D7 and the proventriculus index on D14 of squabs receiving Arg in ovo feeding were increased ( < 0.05) compared to those of the other groups. The brain index on DOH, the small intestine index and pancreas index on D7, and the liver index, pancreas index, and spleen index on D14 of squabs fed Arg were higher ( < 0.05) than those of the NC group. The spleen index on D7 and the small intestine index on D14 of squabs provided the Arg feeding treatment were enhanced ( < 0.05) compared with those of the SC group. The semieviscerated carcass weight of squabs receiving Arg was higher ( < 0.05) on D14 than that of other groups. The absolute weight of breast meat yield on D7 and breast meat yield percentage on D7 and D14 were improved ( < 0.05) in the Arg group compared with the NC group. The leg meat percentage on D7 and the carcass weight, eviscerated carcass weight, and absolute weight of breast meat yield on D14 were increased ( < 0.05) in the Arg group compared with those of the SC group. The results of this study indicate that in ovo feeding of pigeon embryos with Arg may have beneficial effects on squab hatch performance and early posthatch performance.

Abstract
1. Diacylglycerol acyltransferase (DGAT) plays an important role in the synthesis of triacylglycerol, but its effects on meat quality and carcass composition in pigeons are unclear. In this study, single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the exons of the DGAT2 gene were identified and analysed by using DNA sequencing methods in 200 domestic pigeons (Columba livia). The associations between DGAT2 polymorphisms and carcass and meat quality traits were also analysed. 2. Sequencing results showed that 5 nucleotide mutations were detected in exons 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the DGAT2 gene. The analysis revealed three genotypes (AA, AB and BB) in G18398T and G22484C, in which the AA genotype and A allele had the highest frequency. 3. In the SNP of G18398T located in exon 5, individuals with genotype BB had significantly higher meat quality and lower abdominal fat content than those with AA or AB genotype. In the SNP of G22484C located in exon 6, the genotype AA showed highest carcass trait values, while the genotype BB represented better meat quality, compared to AA and AB genotypes. 4. The results imply that DGAT2 gene has a close relationship with carcass and meat quality traits in pigeons, and the SNPs of G18398T and G22484C can be used as genetic markers for marker-assisted breeding in pigeon.

Abstract
Previous studies have shown that increasing estradiol concentrations had a toxic effect on the embryo and were deleterious to embryo adhesion. In this study, we evaluated the physiological impact of estradiol concentrations on endometrial cells to reveal that serum estradiol levels probably targeted the endometrium in controlled ovarian hyperstimulation (COH) protocols. An attachment model of human choriocarcinoma (JAr) cell spheroids to receptive-phase endometrial epithelial cells and Ishikawa cells treated with different estradiol (10-9 M or 10-7 M) concentrations was developed. Differentially expressed protein profiling of the Ishikawa cells was performed by proteomic analysis. Estradiol at 10-7 M demonstrated a high attachment rate of JAr spheroids to the endometrial cell monolayers. Using iTRAQ coupled with LC-MS/MS, we identified 45 differentially expressed proteins containing 43 significantly upregulated and 2 downregulated proteins in Ishikawa cells treated with 10-7 M estradiol. Differential expression of C3, plasminogen and kininogen-1 by Western blot confirmed the proteomic results. C3, plasminogen and kininogen-1 localization in human receptive endometrial luminal epithelium highlighted the key proteins as possible targets for endometrial receptivity and interception. Ingenuity pathway analysis of differentially expressed proteins exhibited a variety of signaling pathways, including LXR/RXR activation pathway and acute-phase response signaling and upstream regulators (TNF, IL6, Hmgn3 and miR-140-3p) associated with endometrial receptivity. The observed estrogenic effect on differential proteome dynamics in Ishikawa cells indicates that the human endometrium is the probable target for serum estradiol levels in COH cycles. The findings are also important for future functional studies with the identified proteins that may influence embryo implantation.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To explore the positive rates on HIV among men who have sex with men (MSM) who took bathhouse as the major place for sexual practice in China, between 2010 and 2015. METHODS Articles published between 2010 and 2015 from CNKI, Wanfang Data, CJFD and PubMed were collected and Stata 12.0 software was used for Meta-analysis. RESULTS A total of 14 articles were selected. Random effects model was employed to calculate the pooled positive rate according to statistical tests for homogeneity with the result I(2)=88.1%. The pooled positive rate appeared as 10.3%, with 95%CI as 7.7%-13.0%. Publication bias was assessed by Egger' s test and funnel plot. After stratified analysis on factors as: sample size, year, region and methods on recruitment, the pooled positive rate of HIV appeared higher in people living in the coastal provinces than those in the inland provinces. CONCLUSION The pooled positive rate of HIV identified from the bathhouses appeared higher than that from other places through, the national HIV sentinel surveillance data, with coastal higher than that in the inland provinces. Bathhouse was recognized as the key place to be carried on intervention programs for the MSM population.
