Abstract
Objective: To investigate HER2 mRNA expression in breast cancer with HER2 immunohistochemistry (IHC) 0 and to analyze the feasibility of distinguishing between the tumor with HER2 μltra-low expression and the one without expression of HER2 (no staining by IHC) by HER2 mRNA level preliminarily. Methods: HER2 mRNA was analyzed by reverse transcription digital PCR in 41 cases of formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded surgical tissue samples of invasive breast cancer obtained between January 2020 and March 2023 at Peking Union Medical College Hospital. The cohort included 21 HER2 IHC 1+ and 20 IHC 0 (12 ultra-low and 8 non-expression of HER2). HER2 mRNA expression level was quantitatively evaluated by the FAM (HER2)/VIC (reference gene) ratio. Results: The expression of HER2 mRNA for the cases with 1+, ultra-low, and non-expression of HER2 by IHC was 0.30 to 1.78 (average 0.90, median 0.82), 0.55 to 1.51 (average 0.93, median 0.90) and 0.22 to 0.78 (average 0.41, median 0.36), respectively. For the mean and median HER2 mRNA levels, there was no significant difference between HER2 IHC 1+ and HER2 ultra-low expression diseases (P=0.757). A remarkable difference in HER2 gene expression was found between the tumors with 1+ and non-expression of HER2 by IHC (P=0.002). And, HER2 ultra-low cases contained statistically higher levels of HER2 mRNA compared with non-expression of HER2 subgroup by IHC (P=0.001). Conclusions: Based on HER2 mRNA, HER2 non-expression and HER2 weak expression (including HER2 IHC 1+ and ultra-low) belong to two different types of the tumor and the disease with HER2 IHC 1+ and HER2 ultra-low expression may be the same. It is necessary to further test the performance of HER2 mRNA detection for stratifying the HER2 weak expression subgroup and to determine the threshold.

Abstract
Despite the widespread prevalence and important medical impact of insomnia, effective agents with few side effects are lacking in clinics. This is most likely due to relatively poor understanding of the etiology and pathophysiology of insomnia, and the lack of appropriate animal models for screening new compounds. As the main homeostatic, circadian, and neurochemical modulations of sleep remain essentially similar between humans and rodents, rodent models are often used to elucidate the mechanisms of insomnia and to develop novel therapeutic targets. In this article, we focus on several rodent models of insomnia induced by stress, diseases, drugs, disruption of the circadian clock, and other means such as genetic manipulation of specific neuronal activity, respectively, which could be used to screen for novel hypnotics. Moreover, important advantages and constraints of some animal models are discussed. Finally, this review highlights that the rodent models of insomnia may play a crucial role in novel drug development to optimize the management of insomnia.

Abstract
With both TEMPO and O2 (in air) as the homogeneous redox mediators, BiBrO as the heterogeneous semiconductor photocatalyst, the first example of semi-heterogeneous photocatalytic decarboxylative phosphorylation of N-arylglycines with diarylphosphine oxides was established. A series of α-amino phosphinoxides were efficiently synthesized.

Abstract
As the backbone force of China's social and economic construction, the health status of workers is closely related to the nation's productivity and social development. Currently, cancers have become one of the major diseases threatening the health of workers. However, there are still many shortcomings in the cancer screening services for the workers. To standardize cancer screening services for workers, ensure the quality of screening services, and improve the overall screening effectiveness, 19 institutions, including Peking Union Medical College Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, have jointly formulated the Group Standard "Specification for service of cancer screening for workers (T/CHAA 023-2023)". This standard follows the principles of "legality, scientific rigor, advancement, and feasibility" and combines the frontier scientific advances in cancer screening. It clarifies the relevant requirements for service principles, service design, service delivery, service management, service evaluation, and improving worker cancer screening. Implementing this group standard will help connect the common screening needs of workers, employers, and cancer screening service providers, standardize the screening process, improve screening quality, and ultimately increase the early diagnosis rate and survival rate of cancer patients. Consequently, this group standard will help safeguard workers' health rights and interests, ensure the labor force resources, promote the comprehensive coordinated and sustainable development of society, and contribute to realizing the "Healthy China 2030" strategic policy.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the molecular mechanism of circDDX17 regulating the proliferation and apoptosis of non-small cell lung cancer cells by targeting the miR-223-3p/RIP3 molecular axis. Methods: The expression levels of circDDX17, miR-223-3p, and RIP3 in human normal lung epithelial cell lines BEAS-2B and non-small cell lung cancer cells H1299, A549, and H446 were detected by reverse transcription-quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR). The plasmids of pcDNA, pcDNA-circDDX17, anti-miR-con, anti-miR-223-3p, pcDNA-circDDX17 and miR-con, pcDNA-circDDX17 and miR-223-3p mimics were transfected into H1299 cells. 3-(4,5-dimethyl-2-thiazolyl)-2,5-diphenyl-2H tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay was used to detect the cell proliferation. Flow cytometry was used to detect the cell cycle and cell apoptosis. Plate cloning experiment was used to detect cell proliferation ability. The dual luciferase report experiment was applied to verify the targeting relationship between miR-223-3p with circDDX17 and RIP3. Western blot was used to detect the protein expression of cyclinD1, CDK2, cleaved caspase-3 and Bax. Results: The expression levels of circDDX17 and RIP3 mRNA in H1299, A549, and H446 cells were significantly reduced (P<0.05), the expression level of miR-223-3p mRNA was significantly increased (P<0.05) compared with BEAS-2B. The cell viability [(69.46±4.68)%], the number of cell clones (83.49±7.86), the proportion of cells in S phase [(22.52±1.41) %], the protein expression levels of cyclinD1 and CDK2 in PCDNa-CircDDX17 group were lower than those in pcDNA group [(97.54±7.72)%, 205.03±13.37, (28.69±1.49)%, respectively, P<0.05], while the percentage of G0/G1 phase cells [(64.45±3.56)%], apoptosis rate [(18.36±1.63)%], the protein expression levels of cleaved caspase-3 and Bax in pcDNA-circDDX17 group were higher than those of pcDNA group [(51.33±2.76) % and (5.21±0.54) %, respectively, P<0.05]. The viability [(72.64±5.44)%], the number of cell clones (78.16±8.23), the proportion of S-stage cells [(21.34±1.59) %], the protein expression levels of CyclinD1 and CDK2 in anti-miR-223-3p group were lower than those in anti-miR-con group [(103.47±6.25)%, 169.32±14.53, (28.43±1.26)%, respectively, P<0.05]. Percentage of G0/G1 phase cells [(62.86±3.28)%], apoptosis rate [(14.64±1.67)%], the protein expression levels of cleaved caspase-3 and Bax in the anti-miR-223-3p group were higher than those of anti-miR-con group [(51.33±2.71)% and (4.83±0.39)%, respectively, P<0.05]. MiR-223-3p has complementary sites with circDDX17 or RIP3. The viability [(135.45±9.28)%], the number of cell clones (174.64±10.68), the proportion of S-phase cells [(26.39±2.25)%], the protein expression levels of cyclinD1 and CDK2 in pcDNA-circDDX17+miR-223-3p group were higher than those in pcDNA-circDDX17+miR-con group [(101.56±6.68)%, 107.65±7.62, (21.64±1.72)%, P<0.05]. Percentage of G0/G1 phase cells [(56.64±2.76)%], apoptosis rate [(8.34±0.76)%], the protein expression levels of cleaved caspase-3 and Bax in pcDNA-circDDX17+miR-223-3p group were lower than those of pcDNA-circDDX17+miR-con group [(64.03±3.48)% and (15.21±1.18)%, respectively, P<0.05]. Conclusion: circDDX17 could inhibit the proliferation and induce apoptosis of non-small cell lung cancer cells via targeting the miR-223-3p / RIP3 molecular axis.

The first example of an electrochemical multicomponent synthesis of selenium-containing compounds with inexpensive and abundant elemental selenium as the selenating reagent was developed. A variety of selenazol-2-amines were constructed in high yields with good functional group tolerance under metal-free and chemical oxidant-free conditions.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze pathogenic characteristics of viral diarrhea in children aged <5 years in Hebei Province and provide reference for the prevention and control of viral diarrhea in children. Methods: Stool samples were collected from in-patients with diarrhea under five years old from sentinel hospitals in Lulong County of Hebei between 2010 and 2020. ELISA detected rotavirus antigen, and then positive samples were genotyped by semi nested reverse transcription PCR of two rounds. Calicivirus, genotyping astrovirus, and adenovirus were detected by real-time fluorescence quantification PCR. The data were analyzed by using software SPSS 20.0. Results: In 2 925 detected stool samples, 1 919 (65.61%) were positive. The positive rates of rotavirus, calicivirus, adenovirus, and astrovirus were 42.80% (1 252/2 925), 22.12% (647/2 925), 6.19% (181/2 925), 3.56% (104/2 925). Viral diarrhea was mainly caused by rotavirus infection, accounting for 59.30% (1 017/1 715) between 2010 and 2017, and by calicivirus infection accounting for 53.43% (109/204) between 2018 and 2020. The peak positive rate of rotavirus occurred in winter, with the highest rate in infants aged 12 to 17 months (52.96%,483/912). In the rotavirus positive samples, G9P[8] was mainly detected strains (58.31%,730/1 252), followed by G3P[8] (8.15%,102/1 252). The calicivirus-positive samples were mainly infected with norovirus GⅡ. Sequence analysis indicated that the main type was GⅡ.4 [P31] between 2011 and 2016 and GⅡ.3 [P12] in 2018. Conclusions: Rotavirus and calicivirus were the main pathogens causing infant diarrhea in children under five years old in Hebei from 2010 to 2020. Winter was the main epidemic season.

Abstract
Vanadium dioxide (VO2) is a class of thermochromic material with potential applications in various fields. Massive production and wide application of VO2 raise the concern of its potential toxicity to human, which has not been fully understood. Herein, a commercial VO2 nanomaterial (S-VO2) was studied for its potential toxicity to human embryonic kidney cell line HEK293, and two most common vanadium ions, V(IV) and V(V), were used for comparison to reveal the related mechanism. Our results indicate that S-VO2 induces dose-dependent cellular viability loss mainly through the dissolved V ions of S-VO2 outside the cell rather than S-VO2 particles inside the cell. The dissolved V ions of S-VO2 overproduce reactive oxygen species to trigger apoptosis and proliferation inhibition via several signaling pathways of cell physiology, such as MAPK and PI3K-Akt, among others. All bioassays indicate that the differences in toxicity between S-VO2, V(IV), and V(V) in HEK293 cells are very small, supporting that the toxicity is mainly due to the dissolved V ions, in the form of V(V) and/or V(IV), but the V(V)'s behavior is more similar to S-VO2 according to the gene expression analysis. This study reveals the toxicity mechanism of nanosized VO2 at the molecular level and the role of dissolution of VO2, providing valuable information for safe applications of vanadium oxides.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the effects of DEAR weight management in overweight patients undergoing fertility-sparing treatment for endometrial cancer or atypical hyperplasia. METHODS Women with endometrial cancer or atypical hyperplasia who received fertility-sparing treatment and had a body mass index of >25 kg/m2 were randomly allocated to the DEAR (DEAR weight management) and control (self weight management) groups. Body morphology and composition, glycolipid metabolism, and tumor outcomes were assessed in both groups before and at 3 and 6 months after intervention. RESULTS Overall, 72 subjects were included (36 in each group). Following intervention, the DEAR group showed significantly lower median body weight (69.45 vs. 78.05), body mass index (26.19 vs. 29.15), lipid accumulation index (29.21 vs. 57.86), body fat mass (24.00 vs. 29.30), visceral fat area (112.5 vs. 133.3), and glycolipid metabolic indices (except high density lipoprotein) than the control group (P < 0.05) and showed a decreasing trend. The test group achieved significantly higher complete remission (88.46% vs. 57.14%; P < 0.05); the time to complete remission did not differ significantly (P > 0.05). CONCLUSIONS DEAR weight management can improve the studied parameters and complete remission rates in this population. REGISTRATION NCT06169449.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinical effects of free superficial circumflex iliac artery (SCIA) superficial branch perforator flap combined with full-thickness skin graft far from the flap donor site in repairing the large wounds in extremities. Methods: The study was a retrospective observational study. From January 2020 to June 2022, 19 patients with large wounds in extremities who met the inclusion criteria were admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical College, including 15 males and 4 females, aged 28-75 years. The debridement, fracture reduction and fixation, tendon, vessel, and nerve repair, and vacuum sealing drainage were performed in the first stage surgery. After debridement in the second stage surgery, the total wound area was 13.0 cm×8.0 cm-34.0 cm×15.0 cm. The tendon and bone exposed wound with area of 9.0 cm×6.0 cm-14.0 cm×7.0 cm was repaired with free SCIA superficial branch perforator flap with area of 10.0 cm×6.5 cm-15.0 cm×8.0 cm. The remaining granulation tissue wound with area of 5.0 cm×3.5 cm-13.0 cm×8.0 cm was repaired with full-thickness skin graft far from the flap donor site with area of 5.0 cm×3.5 cm-13.0 cm×8.0 cm. All the wounds in donor site were sutured. The operation time and amount of bleeding of patients during the surgery were recorded, the survival of flap and skin graft were observed after surgery. During follow-up, the flap and skin graft, scar in the donor site and its effect on donor site function were observed. At the last follow-up, the satisfaction of patients with the efficacy was evaluated by the efficacy satisfaction rating score. Results: The operation time of patients was 2.0-3.5 h. The amount of bleeding of patients during the surgery was 100-320 mL. One patient had ecchymosis and venous crisis in the edge of flap on the second day after surgery, and the flap survived after exploration. The flaps of the other patients survived smoothly. The skin grafts of patients all survived smoothly. Two patients had bloated flaps due to obesity in the later stage, and the expected results were achieved after flap thinning surgery 6 months after operation. During the follow-up of 6 to 24 months, the flaps had good elasticity and soft texture, and the skin grafts had no wear or ulceration; linear scars were left in all the donor sites but their functions were not affected. The patients were all satisfied with the efficacy. Conclusions: Free SCIA superficial perforator flap combined with full-thickness skin graft far from the donor site was used to repair the large wounds in extremities, which was safe, reliable, and less traumatic and short in operation time, and resulted in good postoperative appearance and function in the donor sites and recipient sites.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate whether circular RNA 0026134 (circ_0026134) affects the radiosensitivity of hepatoma cells by regulating the miR-1270/growth factor receptor-bound protein 2 (GRB2) pathway. Methods: Real-time quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) was used to detect the expression levels of circ_0026134, miR-1270, and GRB2 in liver cancer tissues and cells. Bioinformatics analysis, a dual-luciferase gene reporter assay, RT-qPCR, and western blot were used to analyze the targeting relationships between circ_0026134 and miR-1270 and miR-1270 and GRB2. The effects of circ_0026134, miR-1270, and GRB2 expression combined with 6 Gy on the proliferation, invasion, migration, and apoptosis of Huh7 and SK-HEP-1 cells were detected by a cell counting kit, a transwell assay, a scratch assay, and flow cytometry. The tumorigenesis experiment was used to detect the effect of silencing circ_0026134 in nude mice. Measurement data are expressed as the mean ± standard deviation. The independent sample t-test was used for comparison between two groups, and the one-way analysis of variance and SNK-q test were used for comparison between multiple groups. P < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: The expression levels of circ_0026134 and GRB2, Huh7, and SK-HEP-1 cells in liver cancer tissues were significantly increased, while the expression levels of miR-1270 were significantly decreased (P < 0.05). The expression of circ_0026134 in Huh7 and SK-HEP-1 decreased significantly after radiotherapy (P < 0.05). circ_0026134 binds directly to miR-1270 and negatively regulates miR-1270 expression (P < 0.05). miR-1270 binds directly to GRB2 and negatively regulates GRB2 expression (P < 0.05). 6 Gy radiation significantly inhibited the proliferation, migration, and invasion of Huh7 and SK-HEP-1 cells and induced apoptosis (P < 0.05). Silencing circ_0026134 or overexpression of miR-1270 significantly enhanced the anti-proliferation, anti-migration, invasion, and pro-apoptosis effects of 6 Gy treatment on hepatoma cells (P < 0.05). Inhibition of miR-1270 significantly weakened the effects of silencing circ_0026134 combined with 6 Gy radiation on proliferation, migration, invasion, and apoptosis of hepatoma cells (P < 0.05). Overexpression of GRB2 significantly weakened the effects of miR-1270 overexpression combined with 6 Gy radiation on proliferation, migration, invasion, and apoptosis of hepatoma cells (P < 0.05). circ_0026134 knockdown significantly delayed tumor growth in vivo (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Silencing circ_0026134 strengthens radiation treatment's anti-proliferation, anti-migration, invasion, and pro-apoptotic effects in hepatoma cells by negatively regulating the miR-1270/GRB2 pathway, thereby enhancing radiosensitivity.

Abstract
Chirality is a ubiquitous phenomenon in nature and has attracted wide attention in the biomedicine, pharmaceutics and biosensing research fields. Enantiomeric recognition of chiral compounds, especially chiral drugs and chiral amino acids, is important for human health and nutrition. In this work, through the encapsulation of L-His&R6G (L-His = L-Histidine; R6G = Rhodamine 6G) into MOF@MOF framework ZIF-67@ZIF-8, composited material L-His&R6G@ZIF-67@ZIF-8 can be obtained. Additionally, through the etching process, a unique yolk-shell ZIF-8 chiral composite optical sensors L-His&R6G@ZIF-8 (1) can be successfully prepared. Photo-luminescent (PL) experiment also reveals that 1 can highly sensitively detect L-Proline (L-Pro) through the "turn-on" detection strategy (KBH = 1.22 × 104 M-1 and detection limit 1.9 μM). Further yolk-shell L-His&R6G@ZIF-8-based fabricate flexible mixed-matrix membranes has been prepared using doctor-blading technique, which show significant fluorescence enhancement effect under ultraviolet lamp. This work also provides the unique example of preparing chiral yolk-shell framework composite sensors, which have broad application in chiral sensing area.

Abstract
Disturbances in immunoregulation may lead to both cancer and autoimmune diseases. Many therapeutic drugs for autoimmune diseases also display anti-tumor efficacy. The Janus kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcription signaling pathways are involved in the secretion of more than 50 distinct cytokines, which have critical roles in inducing autoimmune diseases and tumorigenesis. Thus, Janus kinases have become classical immunotherapeutic targets for immune disease. More than 70 Janus kinase inhibitors have been approved as immunomodulatory drugs for clinical use, of which 12 are used in the treatment of autoimmune diseases. This systematic review aims to elucidate the anti-tumor role of clinically approved Janus kinase inhibitors that were primarily designed for the treatment of autoimmune diseases and their potential for clinical translation as cancer treatments.

Abstract
Electrocoagulation has been widely studied in oily wastewater treatment because of its high demulsification efficiency and no secondary reagent is required. Oil removal largely depends on the properties of the aggregates. This study aimed to explore the growth process of aggregates and oil removal near the anode by electrocoagulation. Four factors, current density, solution temperature, initial pH value, and electrode structure, were investigated. According to the findings, the current density and temperature have the most significant influence on the growth process of aggregates. The oil removal rate depends more on the average particle size than the fractal dimension. The results showed that the current density and solution temperature have the most significant influence on the parameters of the electrocoagulation process. With increasing current density, the aggregate growth rate and average particle size entering the stable period were accelerated, and the oil removal efficiency was promoted. The growth of aggregates was retarded at high temperatures. The change in the scope of the fractal dimension was minor, ranging from 1.65 to 1.84, during the growth process of the aggregates. Foamed aluminium electrodes were beneficial for accelerating aggregate growth instead of aluminium plates, but the energy consumption was obviously increased. The relationship between the mean particle size and mean fractal dimension of aggregates is consistent with the power function. From the point of view of aggregate growth, this study forms the basis for an in-depth understanding of the demulsification mechanism.

Abstract
Functional traits are frequently proposed to determine the invasiveness of alien species. However, few empirical studies have directly manipulated functional traits and tested their importance in the invasion success of alien species into native plant communities, particularly under global change. We manipulated clonal integration (a key clonal functional trait) of four alien clonal plants by severing inter-ramet connections or keeping them intact and simulated their invasion into native plant communities with two levels of species diversity, population density and nutrient availability. High community diversity and density impeded the invasion success of the alien clonal plants. Clonal integration of the alien plants promoted their invasion success, particularly in the low-density communities associated with low species diversity or nutrient addition, which resulted in a negative correlation between the performance of alien plants and native communities, as expected under global change. Thus, clonal integration can favor the invasion success of alien clonal plants into degraded resident communities with a high degree of disturbance and eutrophication. Our findings confirm the role of clonal functional traits in facilitating alien plant invasions into native plant communities and suggest that clonal functional traits should be considered to efficiently restore degraded communities heavily invaded by alien clonal plants.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Hyperthermia is a common monotherapy for sporotrichosis, but only in patients with special conditions, such as pregnancy and nursing. However, hyperthermia has not been used more widely for sporotrichosis in clinical practice. PATIENTS/METHODS An HIV-positive adult male with lymphocutaneous sporotrichosis caused by Sporothrix globosa that did not respond to conventional itraconazole therapy lasting >2 months received adjunctive therapy with local hyperthermia. To simulate the effects of heat exposure on the growth and morphology of Sporothrix spp. in vitro, S. globosa, S. schenckii and S. brasiliensis were exposed to intermittent heat (42°C) for 1 h a day for 7 or 28 days and observed under transmission electron microscopy. RESULTS Itraconazole combined with local hyperthermia significantly improved the lesions, and the patient was successfully cured of sporotrichosis, with no recurrence after 2 years of follow-up. Cultures of Sporothrix spp. treated with 7 days of daily heat exposure in vitro showed obvious decreases in colony diameters, but not numbers, compared with untreated cultures (p < .001). After 28 days of heat exposure in vitro, Sporothrix spp. were unable to thrive (p < .001), and ultrastructural alterations, including loose cell wall structure, incomplete cell membrane, disrupted vacuoles and fragmented nuclei, were noticeable. CONCLUSIONS Our case findings and in vitro experiments on Sporothrix spp., together with a literature review of previous sporotrichosis cases, suggest that hyperthermia has a clinical role as a treatment adjunct. Large-scale clinical trials are required to examine the utility of hyperthermia in various forms of cutaneous sporotrichosis.

Abstract
Integration of CO2 capture capability from simulated flue gas and electrochemical CO2 reduction reaction (eCO2 RR) active sites into a catalyst is a promising cost-effective strategy for carbon neutrality, but is of great difficulty. Herein, combining the mixed gas breakthrough experiments and eCO2 RR tests, we showed that an Ag12 cluster-based metal-organic framework (1-NH2 , aka Ag12 bpy-NH2 ), simultaneously possessing CO2 capture sites as "CO2 relays" and eCO2 RR active sites, can not only utilize its micropores to efficiently capture CO2 from simulated flue gas (CO2 : N2 =15 : 85, at 298 K), but also catalyze eCO2 RR of the adsorbed CO2 into CO with an ultra-high CO2 conversion of 60 %. More importantly, its eCO2 RR performance (a Faradaic efficiency (CO) of 96 % with a commercial current density of 120 mA cm-2 at a very low cell voltage of -2.3 V for 300 hours and the full-cell energy conversion efficiency of 56 %) under simulated flue gas atmosphere is close to that under 100 % CO2 atmosphere, and higher than those of all reported catalysts at higher potentials under 100 % CO2 atmosphere. This work bridges the gap between CO2 enrichment/capture and eCO2 RR.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Hantaan virus (HTNV, Orthohantavirus hantanensae species, Hantaviridae family) is the main etiological agent responsible for hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS). The novel HTNV may pose a potential danger to the control and prevention of HFRS in China, which highlights the importance of vaccine development in public health management. In previous studies, our laboratory discovered and successfully isolated a new HTNV strain, HV004 strain, from Apodemus agrarius captured in an epidemic area in Hubei, China. METHODS An initial biological and pathogenicity characterization of HTNV 76-118 (standard train), HV114 strain (a clinical isolate from Hubei province in 1986), and the novel isolate HV004 strain from the epidemic areas of Hubei province were performed in susceptible cells and in vivo. An experimental HV004 strain inactivated vaccine was prepared, and its corresponding immunogenicity was analyzed in BALB/c mice. RESULTS HV004 strain had a similar but higher pathogenicity than HTNV 76-118 and HV114 in suckling mice. A subcutaneous vaccination (s.c.) with the inactivated HTNV vaccine adjuvanted with aluminum, followed by a challenge intraperitoneally with 106 FFU/ml HTNV, afforded full protection against an HTNV challenge. All immunized mice in every group elicited serum neutralizing antibodies with increasing dosages, which may protect mice from HTNV infection. A dose-dependent stimulation index of splenocytes was also observed in immunized mice. The percentage of IFN-γ-producing CD3+CD8+ T cells was significantly higher in the spleens of immunized mice than in those of control mice. CONCLUSIONS These findings suggest that the inactivated HTNV vaccine may stimulate mice to produce high levels of antibodies with neutralization activity and elicit specific anti-HTNV humoral and cellular immune responses in BALB/c mice against the prevalent strain of HTNV in south central China.

Abstract
There are clear indoor air pollution sources of trichloroethylene and tetrachloroethylene. A large number of epidemiological evidence has confirmed their carcinogenic toxicity and non-carcinogenic toxicity. Several countries and international organizations have paid attention to indoor air trichloroethylene and tetrachloroethylene. It has been also assessed that there should be certain potential health risk of indoor air trichloroethylene and tetrachloroethylene in China. Based on the latest research results of health risk assessment of indoor air trichloroethylene and tetrachloroethylene, the "Standards for indoor air quality (GB/T 18883-2022)" added trichloroethylene and tetrachloroethylene as indicators. The index limit of trichloroethylene is 6 μg/m3 for an 8-hour average concentration. The index limit of tetrachloroethylene is 120 μg/m3 for an 8-hour average concentration. The technical contents related to the determination of the standard limits of trichloroethylene and tetrachloroethylene in indoor air were analyzed and discussed, including the sources, the exposure, the health effects, the determination of the limit values, and the recommendations for standard implementation. It also proposed recommendations for the implementation of"Standards for indoor air quality (GB/T 18883-2022)".

Abstract
Objective: To assess the clinical features and relative factors of left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) in children with primary hypertension. Methods: In this retrospective cohort study, 430 children diagnosed with primary hypertension in Children's Hospital, Capital Institute of Pediatrics from January 2019 to September 2022 were enrolled. Their clinical data was analyzed and LVH was assessed by echocardiography. According to left ventricular geometry, these children were assigned to the LVH group and normal geometry group. General conditions, laboratory indicators and ambulatory blood pressure parameters between two groups were compared by independent sample t-test or Mann-Whitney U test. Spearman correlation coefficient was used to analyze the correlation between LVH and clinical indicators including blood pressure, biochemical and metabolic indicators. The independent risk factors of LVH were analyzed by multivariable logistic regression. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to explore the value of risk factors in the diagnosis of LVH. Results: Among the 430 children with primary hypertension, 342 (79.5%) were males and 88 (20.5%) females. Their age was (12.6±2.3) years, and 123 children (28.6%) of them had LVH. Body mass index (BMI) ((30.0±5.2) vs. (26.2±4.3) kg/m2), ratio of stage 2 hypertension (75.6% (93/123) vs. 59.6% (183/307)), 24-hour systolic blood pressure (24 h SBP)((131±10) vs. (128±10) mmHg,1 mmHg=0.133 kPa), daytime systolic blood pressure (SBP) ((135±11) vs. (131±11) mmHg), nighttime SBP ((128±11) vs. (123±10) mmHg), cholesterol level ((4.0±0.7) vs. (3.9±0.7) mmol/L), serum uric acid level ((447±81) vs. (426±91) μmol/L) and incidence of hyperinsulinemia (69.9% (86/123) vs.59.0% (181/307)) were significantly elevated in the LVH group compared with those in the normal geometry group (all P<0.05). There were more patients with a disease course over 5 years in the LVH group than in the normal geometry group, with a statistically significant difference (χ2=8.90,P=0.031). Spearman correlation analysis showed that BMI, 24 h SBP, daytime SBP, nighttime SBP, triglyceride, uric acid, and serum sodium level were positively correlated with LVMI (r=0.43, 0.20, 0.18, 0.18, 0.18, 0.16, and 0.12, all P<0.05). BMI, hyperinsulinemia, and cholesterol level were positively correlated with relative wall thickness (RWT) (r=0.22, 0.12, and 0.16, all P<0.05). The multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that BMI (OR=1.17, 95%CI 1.10-1.25) and 24 h SBP (OR=1.04, 95%CI 1.01-1.08) were the independent risk factors for LVH (both P<0.05). The area under the receiver operator characteristic curve, combined with BMI and 24 h SBP, was 0.72 (95%CI 0.67-0.77, P<0.05), with a sensitivity and specificity of 71.5% and 64.8%, respectively. Conclusions: BMI and 24 h SBP are the independent risk factors for LVH in children with primary hypertension, and the combination of BMI and 24 h SBP has an acceptable diagnostic value for LVH. Early monitoring of these indexes is necessary to predict preclinical cardiac damage.

Abstract
Strengthening ecological network construction is an important measure to improve urban ecological environment and protect biodiversity. With Lingwu City of Ningxia as an example, based on remote sensing and social and economic data, we comprehensively analyzed the "double network" (ecological network and social and economic landscape) pattern and their relationship by using morphological spatial pattern analysis, Linkage Mapper, and improved gravity model. The results showed that land use/cover changed dramatically from 2000 to 2020 in Lingwu City. The area of sandy land and grassland decreased sharply, that of forest and construction land increased, and industrial zones expanded rapidly. The connectivity and stability of "dual network" were improved. The intensive areas of human activities were distributed in urban area, oasis agricultural areas, and Ningdong energy industrial zone. The ecological source areas and ecological corridors were mainly distributed in the middle of the nature reserve, while some extended to the other three functional areas. The transportation corridor presented an "H" pattern that was dense in oasis agricultural area and Ningdong energy industrial zone, and connected between the two regions. The "double network" were centered around their respective functional area spaces and had interwoven distributions. The trend of the "double network" changed from conflict to coordinated situation, with obvious zoning and interaction in space. The oasis agricultural area and Ningdong energy industrial area destroyed the eco-logy in the early stage and improved that in the later stage. In the future, it is necessary to strengthen the coordination between ecological protection and social and economic development, which could improve ecological quality by combining measures such as improving the quality of ecological sources and corridors, constructing ecological nodes, and repairing ecological disturbance points.

Abstract
Objective To investigate the effects of Moringa Oleifera Leaf Extract (MOLE) plus rosiglitazone (RSG) on glucose and lipid metabolism, serum leptin, and the Akt/GSK3β/β-Catenin signaling pathway in type 2 diabetic (T2D) rats. Methods Sixty male Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were randomly divided into six groups: the normal group, the model group, the RSG group, the low- and high-dose MOLE group, and the MOLE+RSG group. The normal group was fed a standard rat diet, while the other groups were given a single intraperitoneal injection of low-dose streptozomycin (STZ) (35 mg/kg) and fed a high-sugar and high-fat diet. After 8 weeks, the treatment outcomes were evaluated by measuring key parameters of blood glucose and lipid metabolism and the protein kinase B (AKT) / Glycogen synthase kinase 3beta (GSK3β) /β-Catenin signaling pathway in the T2D rats. Results Compared with the normal group, the model group showed significantly increased levels of blood glucose, blood lipids, serum leptin, free fatty acid (FFA), and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α). Compared with the model group, the RSG, low-dose MOLE, and high-dose MOLE groups displayed effective control of blood glucose, blood lipids, serum leptin, FFA, and TNF-α. The MOLE+RSG group surpassed the RSG group in regulating glucose, lipid metabolism, and serum leptin levels in T2D rats. In addition, the MOLE+RSG group also had superiority over the RSG group in activating the AKT/GSK3β/β-Catenin pathway. Conclusion MOLE plus RSG can effectively reduce blood glucose and blood lipids in T2DM rats.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the influencing factors of whole blood cells and genetics of medical radiation workers, and provide technical support for improving occupational health management and strengthening radiation protection. Methods: In January 2022, a total of 4180 medical radiation workers who underwent occupational health examination in Gansu Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention from January 2020 to December 2021 were collected as the research objects, and the results of demographic characteristics, whole blood cells, chromosome aberrations, lymphocyte micronucleus and other results were collected. The whole blood cells and genetic abnormalities of different demographic characteristics of medical radiation workers were compared. And the influencing factors of whole blood cells and genetic abnormalities were analyzed by multivariate logistic regression. Results: The rates of hemoglobin (HGB), chromosome aberration and lymphocyte micronucleus abnormality were the highest in the nuclear medicine group, and the rate of white blood cell (WBC) abnormality in the radiotherapy group was higher than those in other occupational groups, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The abnormal rates of WBC, HGB and lymphocyte micronucleus in female radiation workers were significantly higher than those in male radiation workers (P<0.001). The abnormal rates of HGB and lymphocyte micronucleus were statistically different among different working years and different age radiation workers (P<0.001). And the abnormal rate of platelet (PLT) was statistically different among different working years radiation workers (P<0.05). The abnormal rate of HGB in radiation workers of different hospital levels was statistically different (P<0.001). Logistic regression analysis showed that the risk of abnormal WBC and HGB in females radiation workers were 3.048 times and 13.122 times of those in males, respectively (P<0.001). The abnormal risks of WBC in the 6-20 working years group and >20 working years group were 1.517 times and 1.874 times of that in the ≤5 working years group, respectively (P<0.05). The abnormal risk of PLT in the >20 working years group was 2.643 times of that in ≤5 working years group (P<0.05). The abnormal risk of WBC in radiotherapy group and intervention group were 2.407 times and 1.341 times of that in general radiotherapy group, respectively (P<0.05) . Conclusion: Ionizing radiation has different effects on the whole blood cells and genetic indexes of workers in the nuclear medicine, interventional group and radiotherapy group. The occupational health protection of female radiation workers should be paid attention to.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To compare the curative effect between interactive scalp acupuncture and traditional scalp acupuncture on hemiplegic upper extremity motor dysfunction in the patients with ischemic stroke. METHODS Seventy cases of hemiplegic upper extremity motor dysfunction of ischemic stroke were randomly divided into an interactive scalp acupuncture group (35 cases, 1 case breaked off) and a traditional scalp acupuncture group (35 cases, 1 case dropped off). The patients of the two groups received the secondary prevention medication and routine rehabilitation therapy. Besides, in the interactive scalp acupuncture group, the upper extremity occupational therapy was operated during the needle retaining of scalp acupuncture; and in the traditional scalp acupuncture group, the upper extremity occupational therapy was delivered after the completion of scalp acupuncture. The same points were selected in the two groups such as Fuxiang head area, Fuxiang upper-limb-shoulder point, Fuxiang upper-limb-elbow point and Fuxiang upper-limb-wrist point. The needles were inserted perpendicularly by flying-needle technique and manipulated by triple technique of gentle twisting, heavy pressure and vibrating. The needles were retained for 30 min. Based on the degree of the upper extremity motor impairment, the regimen of the upper extremity occupational therapy was formulated individually and one treatment took 30 min. In the two groups, the therapies were delivered once daily, 5 times a week, lasting 4 weeks. Before and after treatment, the scores of Fugl-Meyer assessment of upper extremity (FMA-UE), Wolf motor function test (WMFT), the modified Barthel index (MBI) and the modified Ashworth scale (MAS) grade in the two groups were observed before and after treatment. RESULTS After treatment, the scores of FMA-UE, WMFT and MBI were higher than those before treatment (P<0.01), and MAS grade was improved (P<0.05) in the two groups. The scores of FMA-UE, WMFT and MBI in the interactive scalp acupuncture group were higher than those in the traditional scalp acupuncture group (P<0.01, P<0.05), and there was no statistical significance in the difference of MAS grade between the two groups (P>0.05). CONCLUSION The interactive scalp acupuncture can effectively improve the motor function of the hemiplegic upper extremities and the activities of daily living in the patients with ischemic stroke and its efficacy is better than traditional scalp acupuncture. But these two types of scalp acupuncture obtain the similar effect on spasticity.

Abstract
X-ray imaging technology has achieved important applications in many fields and has attracted extensive attentions. Dynamic X-ray flexible imaging for the real-time observation of the internal structure of complex materials is the most challenging type of X-ray imaging technology, which requires high-performance X-ray scintillators with high X-ray excited luminescence (XEL) efficiency as well as excellent processibility and stability. Here, a macrocyclic bridging ligand with aggregation-induced emission (AIE) feature was introduced for constructing a copper iodide cluster-based metal-organic framework (MOF) scintillator. This strategy endows the scintillator with high XEL efficiency and excellent chemical stability. Moreover, a regular rod-like microcrystal was prepared through the addition of polyvinyl pyrrolidone during the in situ synthesis process, which further enhanced the XEL and processibility of the scintillator. The microcrystal was used for the preparation of a scintillator screen with excellent flexibility and stability, which can be used for high-performance X-ray imaging in extremely humid environments. Furthermore, dynamic X-ray flexible imaging was realized for the first time. The internal structure of flexible objects was observed in real time with an ultrahigh resolution of 20 LP mm-1 .

Abstract
IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is an immune-mediated fibroinflammatory condition characterized by tumefactive lesions in multi-organs. It is a novel entity presented by variable manifestations. In recent years, there has been progress toward recognizing IgG4-RD. However, the diagnosis and treatment of IgG4-RD still present challenges due to insufficient experience. To address this, the Chinese Rheumatology Association has developed standardized guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of IgG4-RD based on domestic and international experience. These guidelines aim to enhance the understanding and management of IgG4-RD, ultimately improving the prognosis for patients with IgG4-RD.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the effect and mechanism of 1, 25(OH)2D3 on myocardial inflammation induced by Coxsackie virus B3 (CVB3) in mice. Methods: Wild type (WT) and 1α-hydroxylase knockout [1(OH)ase-/-] male mice were divided into four groups: WT group, WT+CVB3 group, 1(OH)ase-/-+CVB3 group and 1(OH)ase-/-+CVB3+VD3 group, with 8 mice in each group. The indicators for evaluating myocardial cell injury were examined by different methods. The mRNA levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines [interlenkin (IL)-1β, IL-6, interferon γ (IFN-γ) and tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α)] were determined by quantitative real-time PCR. Hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining was used to observe the myocardial histopathological changes. The apoptosis of myocardial cells was detected by terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick-end labeling (TUNEL) staining and flow cytometry. Fluo-4/AM fluorescence probe was used to detect intracellular calcium ion content. Meanwhile, the expression levels of Ca2+/Calmodulin-dependent protein kinase Ⅱ (CaMKⅡ) protein as well as endoplasmic reticulum stress-related proteins like glucose-related protein 78 (GRP78) and C/EBP homologous protein (CHOP) in the myocardial tissues were detected by Western blot. Results: Compared with WT group, the mRNA levels of pro-inflammatory factors increased in the cardiomyocytes of mice in WT+CVB3 group, including IL-1β (14.88±3.32 vs 1.03±0.02, P=0.009), IL-6 (7.00±1.09 vs 1.81±0.18, P=0.005), IFN-γ (4.70±1.11 vs 1.34±0.34, P=0.006) and TNF-α (17.20±3.22 vs 1.02±0.12, P<0.001). Similarly, the infiltration of inflammatory cells, and the apoptosis rate of cardiomyocytes elevated (16.66%±1.09% vs 7.85%±1.12%, P=0.012). The level of calcium ions in myocardial cytoplasm was significantly higher in WT+CVB3 group than that in the WT group (2.98±1.05 vs 0.96±0.10, P=0.006). Likewise, the expression levels of pCaMKⅡ(1.97±0.34 vs 1.00±0, P<0.001), GRP78 (1.78±0.19 vs 1.00±0, P=0.005) and CHOP (1.62±0.09 vs 1.00±0, P=0.002) in WT+CVB3 group up-regulated. The above myocardial cell injury markers were more significant in the 1(OH)ase-/-+CVB3 group. In the 1(OH)ase-/-+CVB3+VD3 group, 1, 25(OH)2D3 supplementation significantly improved myocardial cell injury indicators. Meanwhile, the specific inhibitors of CaMKⅡ can also reduce the myocardial injury and apoptosis rate of CVB3-infected mice. Conclusion: 1, 25(OH)2D3 deficiency can aggravate myocardial inflammation through over activation of CaMKⅡ.

Abstract
Objective: We investigated the incidence of surgical site infection (SSI) following emergency abdominal surgery (EAS) in China and further explored its risk factors, providing a reference for preventing and controlling SSI after EAS. Methods: This was an observational study. Data of patients who had undergone EAS and been enrolled in the Chinese SSI Surveillance Program during 2018-2021were retrospectively analyzed. All included patients had been followed up for 30 days after surgery. The analyzed data consisted of relevant patient characteristics and perioperative clinical data, including preoperative hemoglobin, albumin, and blood glucose concentrations, American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) score, grade of surgical incision, intestinal preparation, skin preparation, location of surgical site, approach, and duration. The primary outcome was the incidence of SSI occurring within 30 days following EAS. SSI was defined as both superficial and deep incisional infections and organ/space infections, diagnoses being supported by results of microbiological culture of secretions and pus. Secondary outcomes included 30-day postoperative mortality rates, length of stay in the intensive care unit (ICU), duration of postoperative hospitalization, and associated costs. The patients were classified into two groups, SSI and non-SSI, based on whether an infection had been diagnosed. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed to identify risk factors associated with SSI following EAS. Results: The study cohort comprised 5491 patients who had undergone EAS, comprising 3169 male and 2322 female patients. SSIs were diagnosed in 168 (3.1%) patients after EAS (SSI group); thus, the non-SSI group consisted of 5323 patients. The SSIs comprised superficial incision infections in 69 (41.1%), deep incision infections in 51 (30.4%), and organ or space infections in 48 (28.6%). Cultures of secretions and pus were positive in 115 (68.5%) cases. The most frequently detected organism was Escherichia coli (47/115; 40.9%). There were no significant differences in sex or body mass index between the SSI and non-SSI groups (both P>0.05). However, the proportion of individuals aged 60 years or older was significantly greater in the SSI than in the non-SSI group (49.4% [83/168] vs. 27.5% [1464/5323), χ2=38.604, P<0.001). Compared with the non-SSI group, the SSI group had greater proportions of patients with diabetes (11.9% [20/168] vs. 4.8% [258/5323], χ2=16.878, P<0.001), hypertension (25.6% [43/168] vs. 12.2% [649/5323], χ2=26.562, P<0.001); hemoglobin <110 g/L (27.4% [46/168] vs. 13.1% [697/5323], χ2=28.411, P<0.001), and albuminemia <30 g/L (24.4% [41/168] vs. 5.9% [316/5323], χ2=91.352, P<0.001), and a reduced rate of preoperative skin preparation (66.7% [112/168] vs. 75.9% [4039/5323], χ2=7.491, P=0.006). Furthermore, fewer patients in the SSI group had preoperative ASA scores of between one and two (56.0% [94/168] vs. 88.7% [4724/5323], χ2=162.869, P<0.001) in the non-SSI group. The incidences of contaminated and infected incisions were greater in the SSI group (63.1% [106/168] vs. 38.6% [2056/5323], χ2=40.854, P<0.001). There was a significant difference in surgical site distribution between the SSI and non-SSI groups (small intestine 29.8% [50/168] vs. 10.6% [565/5323], colorectal 26.2% [44/168] vs. 5.6% [298/5 323], and appendix 24.4% [41/168] vs. 65.1% [3465/5323]) χ2=167.897, P<0.001), respectively. There was a significantly lower proportion of laparoscope or robotic surgery in the non-SSI group (24.4 % [41/168] vs. 74.2% [3949/5323], χ2=203.199, P<0.001); the percentage of operations of duration less than 2 hours was significantly lower in the SSI than non-SSI group (35.7% [60/168] vs. 77.4% [4119/5323], χ2=155.487, P<0.001). As to clinical outcomes, there was a higher 30-day postoperative mortality rate (3.0%[5/168] vs. 0.2%[10/5323], χ2=36.807, P<0.001) and higher postoperative ICU occupancy rate (41.7% [70/168] vs. 19.7% [1046/5323], χ2=48.748, P<0.001) in the SSI group. The median length of stay in the ICU (0[2] vs. 0[0] days, U=328597.000, P<0.001), median total length of stay after surgery (16[13] vs. 6[5] days, U=128146.000, P<0.001), and median hospitalization cost (ten thousand yuan, 4.7[4.4] vs. 1.7[1.8], U=175965.000, P<0.001) were all significantly greater in the SSI group. Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that the absence of skin preparation before surgery (OR=2.435,95%CI: 1.690-3.508, P<0.001), preoperative albuminemia <30 g/L (OR=1.680, 95%CI: 1.081-2.610, P=0.021), contaminated or infected incisions (OR=3.031, 95%CI: 2.151-4.271, P<0.001), and laparotomy (OR=3.436, 95% CI: 2.123-5.564, P<0.001) were independent risk factors of SSI. Operative duration less than 2 hours (OR=0.465, 95%CI: 0.312-0.695, P<0.001) and ASA score of 1-2 (OR=0.416, 95% CI: 0.289-0.601, P<0.001) were identified as independent protective factors for SSI. Conclusions: It is important to consider the nutritional status in the perioperative period of patients undergoing EAS. Preoperative skin preparation should be conducted and, whenever possible, laparoscope or robot-assisted surgery. Duration of surgery should be as short as possible while maintaining surgery quality and improving patient care.

Abstract
Objective: To compare the differences in the prevalence of mild micro-hepatic encephalopathy (MHE) among patients with cirrhosis by using the psychometric hepatic encephalopathy score (PHES) and the Stroop smartphone application (Encephal App) test. Methods: This prospective, multi-center, real-world study was initiated by the National Clinical Medical Research Center for Infectious Diseases and the Portal Hypertension Alliance and registered with International ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT05140837). 354 cases of cirrhosis were enrolled in 19 hospitals across the country. PHES (including digital connection tests A and B, digital symbol tests, trajectory drawing tests, and serial management tests) and the Stroop test were conducted in all of them. PHES was differentiated using standard diagnostic criteria established by the two studies in China and South Korea. The Stroop test was evaluated based on the criteria of the research and development team. The impact of different diagnostic standards or methods on the incidence of MHE in patients with cirrhosis was analyzed. Data between groups were differentiated using the t-test, Mann-Whitney U test, and χ (2) test. A kappa test was used to compare the consistency between groups. Results: After PHES, the prevalence of MHE among 354 cases of cirrhosis was 78.53% and 15.25%, respectively, based on Chinese research standards and Korean research normal value standards. However, the prevalence of MHE was 56.78% based on the Stroop test, and the differences in pairwise comparisons among the three groups were statistically significant (kappa = -0.064, P < 0.001). Stratified analysis revealed that the MHE prevalence in three groups of patients with Child-Pugh classes A, B, and C was 74.14%, 83.33%, and 88.24%, respectively, according to the normal value standards of Chinese researchers, while the MHE prevalence rates in three groups of patients with Child-Pugh classes A, B, and C were 8.29%, 23.53%, and 38.24%, respectively, according to the normal value standards of Korean researchers. Furthermore, the prevalence rates of MHE in the three groups of patients with Child-Pugh grades A, B, and C were 52.68%, 58.82%, and 73.53%, respectively, according to the Stroop test standard. However, among the results of each diagnostic standard, the prevalence of MHE showed an increasing trend with an increasing Child-Pugh grade. Further comparison demonstrated that the scores obtained by the number connection test A and the number symbol test were consistent according to the normal value standards of the two studies in China and South Korea (Z = -0.982, -1.702; P = 0.326, 0.089), while the other three sub-tests had significant differences (P < 0.001). Conclusion: The prevalence rate of MHE in the cirrhotic population is high, but the prevalence of MHE obtained by using different diagnostic criteria or methods varies greatly. Therefore, in line with the current changes in demographics and disease spectrum, it is necessary to enroll a larger sample size of a healthy population as a control. Moreover, the establishment of more reliable diagnostic scoring criteria will serve as a basis for obtaining accurate MHE incidence and formulating diagnosis and treatment strategies in cirrhotic populations.

Abstract
Oro-maxillofacial cone-beam CT (CBCT) is the most widely used three-dimensional imaging method in the field of oral and maxillofacial radiology. It has been widely used in China, while radiation safety, examination indications and other issues still lack comprehensive regulations and standards. Over the years, clinical guidelines and position statements for the rational use of CBCT examinations have been issued in the world, providing standardized instructions for local practitioners. This paper reviewed these guidelines to provide reference for the formulation of relevant guidelines in China.

Abstract
Molar-incisor hypomineralization (MIH) is defined as an enamel mineralization defect caused by systemic factors, which is characterized by demarcated opacities. These opacities are liable to result in brittle hypomineralized enamel breakdown, which expediting the eventual development of cavities, even tooth loss. Early diagnosis and prompt intervention are essential. The MIH scoring system based on the diagnostic criteria of the European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry (EAPD) is internationally recognized. This system is particularly helpful to diagnose and evaluate the MIH, as well as conductive to the performance of epidemiological investigations. This paper gives a presentation on the EAPD judgment criteria and scoring system as well as their applications, based on the current situation of MIH studies and our findings of MIH epidemiological investigation.

Abstract
Chronic pain causes both physical suffering and comorbid mental symptoms such as anhedonia. However, the neural circuits and molecular mechanisms underlying these maladaptive behaviors remain elusive. Here using a mouse model, we report a pathway from vesicular glutamate transporter 3 neurons in the dorsal raphe nucleus to dopamine neurons in the ventral tegmental area (VGluT3DRN→DAVTA) wherein population-level activity in response to innocuous mechanical stimuli and sucrose consumption is inhibited by chronic neuropathic pain. Mechanistically, neuropathic pain dampens VGluT3DRN → DAVTA glutamatergic transmission and DAVTA neural excitability. VGluT3DRN → DAVTA activation alleviates neuropathic pain and comorbid anhedonia-like behavior (CAB) by releasing glutamate, which subsequently promotes DA release in the nucleus accumbens medial shell (NAcMed) and produces analgesic and anti-anhedonia effects via D2 and D1 receptors, respectively. In addition, VGluT3DRN → DAVTA inhibition produces pain-like reflexive hypersensitivity and anhedonia-like behavior in intact mice. These findings reveal a crucial role for VGluT3DRN → DAVTA → D2/D1NAcMed pathway in establishing and modulating chronic pain and CAB.

Abstract
Sewage treatment plants (STPs) are one of the crucial barriers for the environmental emission of steroid hormones. Insights into the occurrence and fate of different categories of steroid hormones in STPs could provide theoretical support for improving steroid removal by STPs. The present study investigated 22 steroid hormones in each treatment process of two STPs located in Wuxi via eight monthly sampling campaigns and compared the efficacy of Anaerobic-Anoxic-Aerobic (A2/O) and reversed A2/O treatments. The results showed that the total steroid concentrations in the influent and effluent were 27.7-256.8 ng·L-1 and 5.7-211.0 ng·L-1, respectively, and 36.3-123.6 ng·g-1 in the excess sludge. Androsterone, androstenedione, estrone, estriol, and progesterone were the main species detected in the STPs. The concentrations of most steroids increased with the rise of rainfall and temperature, whereas the removal rates were not significantly different between winter and summer. Secondary and tertiary treatment processes showed better performance in steroid removal compared with that in the primary treatment; however, reversed A2/O did not show advantages over traditional A2/O. The organic-normalized partition coefficients (lg Koc) of steroids ranged between 2 and 4.5. The values of lg Koc in STP A were slightly greater than those in STP B, indicating that the partition behavior of steroids may influence their treatment efficacies.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Orthohantaviruses (genus Orthohantavirus, family Hantaviridae of order Bunyavirales) are rodent-borne viruses causing 2 human diseases: hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) and hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS), which are mainly prevalent in Eurasia and the Americas, respectively. We initiated this study to investigate and analyze the Orthohantaviruses infection in rodent reservoirs and humans in the Hubei Province of China from 1984 to 2010. SAMPLE The study included 10,314 mouse and 43,753 human serum samples. PROCEDURES In this study, we analyzed the incidence of Orthohantavirus infection in humans and observed changes in rodent reservoirs in Hubei Province. RESULTS The results indicated that although the incidence of HFRS declined from the 1990s, the human inapparent infection did not decrease dramatically. Although elements of the disease ecology have changed over the study period, Apodemus agrarius and Rattus norvegicus remain the major species and a constituent ratio of Rattus norvegicus increased. Rodent population density fluctuated between 16.65% and 2.14%, and decreased quinquennially, showing an obvious downward trend in recent years. The average orthohantaviruses-carrying rate was 6.36%, of which the lowest rate was 2.92% from 2006 to 2010. The analysis of rodent species composition showed that Rattus norvegicus and Apodemus agrarius were the dominant species over time (68.6% [1984 to 1987] and 90.4% [2000 to 2011]), while the composition and variety of other species decreased. The density of rodents was closely related to the incidence of HFRS (r = 0.910, P = .032). CLINICAL RELEVANCE Our long-term investigation demonstrated that the occurrence of HFRS is closely related to rodent demographic patterns. Therefore, rodent monitoring and rodent control measures for prevention against HFRS in Hubei are warranted.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is a progressive systemic disease characterized by a chronic inflammatory response in the sacroiliac joints and spine. Long noncoding RNAs suggest significant actions in the progression of AS. Therefore, a specific lncRNA, highly upregulated in liver cancer (HULC), was studied here regarding its functions and related mechanisms in AS. METHODS Measurements of miR-556-5p, HULC, and YAP1 expression were performed on AS cartilage tissues and chondrocytes. The interaction between miR-556-5p and HULC or YAP1 was verified. CCK-8, flow cytometry and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay were used to evaluate the effects of HULC, miR-556-5p, and YAP1 on the proliferation, apoptosis, and inflammatory response of AS chondrocytes. Furthermore, the action of HULC/miR-556-5p/YAP1 was experimentally observed in AS mice. RESULTS HULC and YAP1 levels were augmented, while miR-556-5p levels were suppressed in AS cartilage tissues and chondrocytes. Downregulating HULC or upregulating miR-556-5p stimulated chondrocyte proliferation and inhibited apoptosis and inflammation in AS. miR-556-5p was a downstream factor of HULC, and YAP1 was a potential target of miR-556-5p. The improvement effect of downregulated HULC on AS chondrocytes was saved when YAP1 expression was forced. In addition, silence of HULC improved the pathological injury of spinal cartilage in AS mice by enhancing miR-556-5p-related regulation of YAP1. CONCLUSION HULC inhibition relieves the inflammatory response in AS by reducing miR-556-5p-mediated YAP1 expression.

Abstract
Both biomedical applications and safety assessments of manufactured nanomaterials require a thorough understanding of the interaction between nanomaterials and cells, including how nanomaterials enter cells, transport within cells, and leave cells. However, compared to the extensively studied uptake and trafficking of nanoparticles (NPs) in cells, less attention has been paid to the exocytosis of NPs. Yet exocytosis is an indispensable process of regulating the content of NPs in cells, which in turn influences, even decides, the toxicity of NPs to cells. A comprehensive understanding of the mechanisms and influencing factors of the exocytosis of NPs is not only essential for the safety assessment of NPs but also helpful for guiding the design of safe and highly effective NP-based materials for various purposes. Herein, we review the current status and progress of studies on the exocytosis of NPs. Firstly, we introduce experimental procedures and considerations. Then, exocytosis mechanisms/pathways are summarized with a detailed introduction of the main pathways (lysosomal and endoplasmic reticulum/Golgi pathway) and the role of microtubules; the patterns of exocytosis kinetics are presented and discussed. Subsequently, the influencing factors (initial content and location of intracellular NPs, physiochemical properties of NPs, cell type, and extracellular conditions) are fully discussed. Although there are inconsistent results, some rules are obtained, like smaller and charged NPs are more easily excreted. Finally, the challenges and future directions in the field have been discussed.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the pathological classification of malignant peritoneal mesothelioma (MPeM) and screen the immunohistochemical markers that can distinguish MPeM from peritoneal metastatic carcinoma (PC) . Methods: In June 2020, the pathological results of peritoneal biopsy of 158 MPeM and 138 PC patients from Cangzhou Central Hospital, Cangzhou People's Hospital, and Cangzhou Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine from May 2011 to July 2019 were retrospectively analyzed, and the pathological classifications of MPeM in Cangzhou were summarized. Immunohistochemical markers of MPeM and PC patients were analyzed, and receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC curve) was drawn for differential diagnosis of MPeM and PC. Results: There were 55 male and 103 female MPeM patients in Cangzhou, with an average age of 57.1 years old. The asbestos exposure rate was 91.14% (144/158). The most common pathological classifications were cutaneous type, accounting for 90.51% (143/158). There were significant differences in the expression of calreticulum protein, CK5/6, vimentin, D2-40, carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and tail type homologous nuclear gene transcription factor 2 (CDX-2) between MPeM and PC (P<0.05). Among the 6 positive markers, the sensitivity of calreticulum protein was the highest (0.905) and CEA was the lowest (0.428) . Conclusion: Calreticulum protein, CK5/6, vimentin, D2-40, CEA and CDX-2 may be used as specific markers to distinguish the diagnosis of MPeM from PC.

Abstract
This work proposes a discrete unified gas-kinetic wave-particle (DUGKWP) method for simulation of flows in all flow regimes. Unlike the discrete velocity method (DVM) and the direct simulation Monte Carlo (DSMC) method which solve the governing equations by either the deterministic method or the stochastic method, the DUGKWP combines the advantages of these two methods. In the DUGKWP, the information of microscopic particles as well as macroscopic flow variables are both evolved. Specifically, the microscopic particles are updated by the free-transport and resampling processes, while the macroscopic flow properties are evolved via solving the macroscopic governing equations of conservation laws with the finite volume method. According to the discrete characteristic solution to the Boltzmann-BGK equation utilized in the DUGKWP, in the highly rarefied flow regime, the motion of microscopic particles greatly determines the fluxes for the macroscopic governing equations. Conversely, for the continuum flow, no microscopic particle exists in the computational domain and the DUGKWP is degraded to the Navier-Stokes solver. Numerical studies validate that the DUGKWP can accurately predict the flow properties in all flow regimes. Furthermore, compared with the deterministic method, the DUGKWP enjoys superior efficiency with less memory consumption for both high-speed rarefied flows and flows close to the continuum regime.

Abstract
The objective of this study is to provide a comprehensive summary of the clinical and radiological features of zygomatic intraosseous venous malformations (IVM), as well as its treatment strategies. The aim is to establish preoperative diagnostic bases that will aid in the identification of zygomatic IVM and facilitate the implementation of effective treatment. Four cases of pathologically diagnosed zygomatic IVM with typical clinical and radiological features were reported. They exhibited comparable clinical and radiological features, and the En bloc excision and reconstruction yielded satisfactory outcome. Pooled data analysis was performed with additional 74 cases collected from 63 previous studies. The results revealed a higher incidence of zygomatic IVMs in middle-aged females, with swelling, pain and ocular dysfunction being the typical clinical manifestations. The characteristic radiological features of these lesions were well-defined, round bony structures with specific internal trabecular patterns. A diagnostic flow-chart assisting the differential diagnosis of IVM was established. En bloc excision was deemed the most advantageous treatment option, as it presented minimal risk of haemorrhaging and no instances of recurrence. The decision to pursue reconstruction was contingent upon the extent of the defect. Alloplastic material has emerged as the most frequently employed reconstruction material in recent reports. The summarized characteristics of zygomatic IVM and the proposed diagnostic and treatment strategies, derived from the pooled analysis of reported cases, may help to improve diagnosis and management in further clinical practice.

However, its high viscosity is not only refractory to absorb through the gut, but also causes flatulence. In contrast to HA, hyaluronic acid oligosaccharides (o-HAs) can overcome the above-mentioned constraints, but their treatment effect still remains ill-defined contemporarily. Herein, the current study intends to compare the modulatory effects of HA and o-HA on colitis and assess the underlying molecular mechanism. We first showed that o-HA had a better preventive effect than HA in alleviating colitis symptoms, as evidenced by lower body weight loss, lower disease activity index scores, a lower inflammatory response (TNF-α, IL-6, IL-1β, p-NF-κB), and more intact colon epithelial integrity in vivo. The best efficiency was observed in the o-HA treated group with a dosage of 30 mg kg-1. In an in vitro barrier function assay, o-HA exerted a better protective effect on the transepithelial electrical resistance (TEER), FITC permeability, and wound healing and modulated the expression of tight junction (TJ) proteins (ZO-1, occludin) in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated Caco-2 cells. In summary, both HA and o-HA showed the potential to reduce inflammation and ameliorate intestinal damage in DSS-induced colitis and LPS-induced inflammation, but o-HA had improved outcomes. The results also provided a glimpse of the latent mechanism by which HA and o-HA enhanced intestinal barrier function via MLCK/p-MLC signaling pathway suppression.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effect of pretreatment with oral contraceptives (OC) on cumulative clinical pregnancy of oocyte retrieval cycle in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) women with gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) antagonist protocol. Methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted to analyze PCOS women who underwent in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET)/intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) treatment with GnRH antagonist in the Reproductive Medical Center of Peking University First Hospital from January 2017 to December 2020. A total of 225 patients were divided into OC pretreatment group (119 patients) and non-pretreatment group (106 patients), according to whether they received OC before GnRH antagonist protocol. The baseline information, IVF, and pregnancy outcomes of the two groups were compared. A multivariate logistic regression model was used to analyze the effect of OC pretreatment on cumulative clinical pregnancy of the oocyte retrieval cycle. Results: The age of 225 patients was (31.1±3.3) years old. The ages of patients in the OC pretreatment group and non-pretreatment group were (31.0±3.3) and (31.2±3.3) years old (P>0.05), respectively. The cumulative clinical pregnancy rate of oocyte retrieval cycle was significantly higher in the OC pretreatment group than that in the non-pretreatment group (79.8%, 95 patients; 67.0%, 71 patients; P=0.029). Age <35 years old (OR=3.199, 95%CI: 1.200-8.531, P=0.020), OC pretreatment (OR=3.129, 95%CI: 1.305-7.506, P=0.011), number of oocytes retrieved (OR=1.102, 95%CI: 1.007-1.206, P=0.035) and number of high-quality embryos (OR=1.536, 95%CI: 1.205-1.957, P=0.001) were related factors for the cumulative clinical pregnancy of oocyte retrieval cycle. Conclusions: OC pretreatment before GnRH antagonist protocol can significantly increase the cumulative clinical pregnancy rate of oocyte retrieval cycle in women with PCOS. Age <35 years old, OC pretreatment, the number of oocytes retrieved, and the number of high-quality embryos were related factors for the cumulative clinical pregnancy of oocyte retrieval cycle.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the value of electrically evoked auditory brainstem response (EABR) monitoring combined with brainstem auditory evoked potential (BAEP) and compound action potential (CAP) monitoring during vestibular schwannoma resection for the protection of the cochlear nerve. Methods: Clinical data from 12 patients with vestibular schwannomas who had useful hearing prior to surgery were analyzed at the PLA General Hospital from January to December 2021. Among them, there were 7 males and 5 females, ranging in age from 25 to 59 years. Before surgery, patients underwent audiology assessments (including pure tone audiometry, speech recognition rate, etc.), facial nerve function evaluation, and cranial MRI. They then underwent vestibular schwannoma resection via the retrosigmoid approach. EABR, BAEP, and CAP were simultaneously monitored during surgery, and patients' hearing preservation was observed and analyzed after surgery. Results: Prior to surgery, the average PTA threshold of the 12 patients ranged from11 to 49 dBHL, with a SDS of 80% to 100%. Six patients had grade A hearing, and six patients had grade B hearing. All 12 patients had House-Brackman grade I facial nerve function prior to surgery. The MRI indicated tumor diameters between 1.1 and 2.4 cm. Complete removal was achieved in 10/12 patients, while near-total removal was achieved in 2/12 patients. There were no serious complications at the one-month follow-up after surgery. At the three-month follow-up, all 12 patients had House-Brackman grade I or II facial nerve function. Under EABR with CAP and BAEP monitoring, successful preservation of the cochlear nerve was achieved in six of ten patients (2 with grade B hearing, 3 with grade C hearing, and 1 with grade D hearing). Successful preservation of the cochlear nerve was not achieved in another four patients (all with grade D hearing). In two patients, EABR monitoring was unsuccessful due to interference signals; however, Grade C or higher hearing was successfully preserved under BAEP and CAP monitoring. Conclusion: The application of EABR monitoring combined with BAEP and CAP monitoring during vestibular schwannoma resection can help improve postoperative preservation of the cochlear nerve and hearing.

Abstract
As a new type of fluorescent nanomaterial, chiral carbon quantum dots (CCQDs) have the advantages of wide source, good water solubility and high chemical stability, and have been widely used in drug detection, bioimaging and chemical sensing. In this work, a chiral dual-emission hybrid material fluorescein/CCQDs@ZIF-8 (1) was synthesized by in-situ encapsulation strategy. Luminescence emission position of CCQDs and fluorescein are almost unchanged after the encapsulation into ZIF-8. The luminescent emissions of CCQDs and fluorescein can be observed to be located at 430 nm and 513 nm, respectively. When 1 is soaked in pure water, ethanol, dimethylsulfoxide, DMF, DMA and targeted substances solution for 24 h, 1 can maintain its structural stability. Photo-luminescent (PL) studies show that 1 can discriminate p-phenylenediamine (PPD) from m-phenylenediamine (MPD) and o-phenylenediamine (OPD), which can detect the presence of PPD with high sensitivity and selectivity (ratiomeric fluorescent probe with KBH: 1.85 × 103 M-1 and detection limit: 8.51 μM). Further, 1 also effectively distinguish the oxidized product of these phenylenediamine(PD) isomers. 1 can be used as a "turn-off" fluorescent probe to detect oxidized product of PPD (ratiomeric fluorescent probe with KSV: 6.82 × 102 M-1 and detection limit: 0.112 mM) and a "turn-on" fluorescent probe to detect oxidized product of MPD (ratiomeric fluorescent probe: KBH: 1.65 × 103 M-1 and detection limit: 35.03 μM) and oxidized product of OPD (ratiomeric fluorescent probe: KBH: 2.40 × 106 M-1 and detection limit: 0.105 μM). Further, for the convenience of practical application, 1 can be developed as fluorescence ink and be prepared into a mixed matrix membrane. When the target substances are gradually added to the membrane, significant luminescence change with obvious color change can be observed.

Abstract
This paper aimed to study the chemical constituents from the root bark of Schisandra sphenanthera. Silica, Sephadex LH-20 and RP-HPLC were used to separate and purify the 80% ethanol extract of S. sphenanthera. Eleven compounds were identified by ~1H-NMR, ~(13)C-NMR, ESI-MS, etc., which were 2-[2-hydroxy-5-(3-hydroxypropyl)-3-methoxyphenyl]-propane-1,3-diol(1), threo-7-methoxyguaiacylglycerol(2),4-O-(2-hydroxy-1-hydroxymethylethyl)-dihydroconiferylalcohol(3), morusin(4), sanggenol A(5), sanggenon I(6), sanggenon N(7), leachianone G(8),(+)-catechin(9), epicatechin(10), and 7,4'-dimethoxyisoflavone(11). Among them, compound 1 was a new compound, and compounds 2-9 were isolated from S. sphenanthera for the first time. Compounds 2-11 were subjected to cell viability assay, and the results revealed that compounds 4 and 5 had potential cytotoxicity, and compound 4 also had potential antiviral activity.

Abstract
Background Pelvic floor dysfunction is a common complication after cervical cancer surgery, and the key to early prevention and treatment is the timely identification of risk factors and high-risk patients. The present study explored the risk factors of pelvic floor dysfunction in cervical cancer patients after surgery and established a predictive model. Methods A total of 282 cervical cancer patients admitted to Wuhan No.7 Hospital from January 2020 to June 2022 was retrospectively enrolled in this study. All patients underwent surgery and were followed up after surgery. The patients were divided into a pelvic floor dysfunction group (n=92) and a control group (n=190) according to whether they developed pelvic floor dysfunction or not at 6 months post-surgery. The differences in clinical features between the two groups were observed to identify the risk factors of pelvic floor dysfunction after cervical cancer, and a prediction model was established. Results There were significant differences in age, surgical method, surgical resection range, and radiotherapy between the two groups (P<0.05). Age greater than 65 years, open surgery, total hysterectomy, and radiotherapy were identified as the risk factors of postoperative pelvic floor dysfunction in patients with cervical cancer (P<0.05). The R4.0.3 statistical software was used to randomly divide the dataset into a training dataset (n=141) and a validation dataset (n=141). The area under the curve was 0.755 (95% confidence interval: 0.673-0.837) in the training set and 0.604 (95% confidence interval: 0.502-0.705) in the verification set. In the validation set, the model was tested with a Hosmer-Lemeshow Goodness-of-Fit test, with a chi-square value of 9.017 and a P value of 0.341. Conclusions Patients with cervical cancer have a high incidence of postoperative pelvic floor dysfunction. Age greater than 65 years, open surgery, total hysterectomy, and radiotherapy are risk factors of postoperative pelvic floor dysfunction in cervical cancer patients, and the present model helps to identify patients at high-risk of pelvic floor dysfunction.

Abstract
Felodipine is an effective drug to treat hypertension, but its abuse can cause bardycardia. It is significant to develop highly sensitive detection platform for felodipine to enable the efficient treatment of hypertension diseases. In this work, to highly efficiently detect felodipine, multi-emission near-infrared (NIR) hierarchical magnetic core-shell lanthanide-MOF nanoparticles, namely Nd-MOF@Yb-MOF@SiO2@Fe3O4 (NIR-1), has been synthesized by layer-by-layer (LBL) method. LBL method can adjust the optical properties of NIR-1 and expose more active sites to improve sensitivity in detection process. NIR-1 has near-infrared luminescence emission, which can efficiently avoid the interference of autofluorescence in biological tissues. Photo-luminescent (PL) experiments also reveal that NIR-1 could be used as a near-infrared ratiometric luminescent sensor for felodipine detection with high selectivity and sensitivity, the low of detection limit (LOD) is 6.39 nM in felodipine detection, which is also performed using real biological samples. In addition, NIR-1 can be used as a ratiometric thermometer could also be applied in the temperature sensing from 293 K to 343 K. Finally, detection mechanisms for felodipine and temperature sensing performance based on near-infrared (NIR) emission were also investigated and discussed in detail.

Abstract
Background Few studies have examined the role of iodine in extrathyroidal function. Recent research has shown an association between iodine and metabolic syndromes (MetS) in Chinese and Korean populations, but the link in the American participants remains unknown. Purpose This study aimed to examine the relationship between iodine status and metabolic disorders, including components associated with metabolic syndrome, hypertension, hyperglycemia, central obesity, triglyceride abnormalities, and low HDL. Methods The study included 11,545 adults aged ≥ 18 years from the US National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (2007-2018). Participants were divided into four groups based on their iodine nutritional status(ug/L), as recommended by the World Health Organization: low UIC, < 100; normal UIC, 100-299; high UIC, 300-399; and very high, ≥ 400. The Odds ratio (OR) for MetS basing the UIC group was estimated using logistic regression models for our overall population and subgroups. Results Iodine status was positively associated with the prevalence of MetS in US adults. The risk of MetS was significantly higher in those with high UIC than in those with normal UIC [OR: 1.25; 95% confidence intervals (CI),1.016-1.539; p = 0.035). The risk of MetS was lower in the low UIC group (OR,0.82; 95% CI: 0.708-0.946; p = 0.007). There was a significant nonlinear trend between UIC and the risk of MetS, diabetes, and obesity in overall participants. Participants with high UIC had significantly increased TG elevation (OR, 1.24; 95% CI: 1.002-1.533; P = 0.048) and participants with very high UIC had significantly decreased risk of diabetes (OR, 0.83; 95% CI: 0.731-0.945, p = 0.005). Moreover, subgroup analysis revealed an interaction between UIC and MetS in participants aged < 60 years and ≥ 60 years, and no association between UIC and MetS in older participants aged ≥ 60 years. Conclusion Our study validated the relationship between UIC and MetS and their components in US adults. This association may provide further dietary control strategies for the management of patients with metabolic disorders.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND AIMS Few studies have examined the relationship between malnutrition, as defined by the Geriatric Nutrition Risk Index (GNRI), and all-cause mortality and cardiovascular mortality events, particularly in persons with diabetes. The study aimed at the association between GNRI and all-cause mortality and cardiovascular mortality in older Americans with diabetes. METHODS Data from this retrospective study were obtained from the National Health and Nutrition Examination (NHANES) 1999-2016. Using data from The NHANES Public-Use Linked Mortality Files to assess all-cause mortality (ACM) and cardiovascular mortality (CVM). After excluding participants younger than 60 years and without diabetes, and with missing follow-up data, 4400 cases were left in this study. Persons with diabetes were divided by GNRI into 3 groups: GNRI ≥ 98; 92 ≤ GNRI < 98; and GNRI < 92; (No; Low; Moderate/Severe (M/S) group). We used Cox proportional hazard regression model to explore the predictive role of GNRI on ACM and CVM in elderly persons with diabetes. Restricted cubic splines to investigate the existence of a dose-response linear relationship between them. RESULT During a median follow-up period of 89 months, a total of 538 (12.23%) cardiovascular deaths occurred and 1890 (42.95%) all-cause deaths occurred. Multifactorial COX regression analysis showed all-cause mortality (hazard ratio [HR]: 2.58, 95% CI: 1.672-3.994, p < 0.001) and cardiovascular mortality (HR: 2.29, 95% CI: 1.063-4.936, p = 0.034) associated with M/S group risk of malnutrition in GNRI compared to no group. A negative association between GNRI and all-cause mortality was observed across gender and ethnicity. However, the same negative association between GNRI and cardiovascular mortality was observed only for males (HR:0.94, 95% CI:0.905-0.974, p < 0.001) and other races (HR:0.92, 95% CI:0.861-0.976, p = 0.007). And there was no significant correlation between low malnutrition and cardiovascular mortality (p = 0.076). Restricted cubic splines showed a nonlinear relationship between GNRI and all-cause mortality and cardiovascular mortality (non-linear p < 0.001, non-linear p = 0.019). CONCLUSIONS Lower GNRI levels are associated with mortality in older patients with diabetes. GNRI may be a predictor of all-cause mortality and cardiovascular mortality risk in older patients with diabetes.

Abstract
The phytochemical investigation of the EtOAc extract from the aerial parts of Isodon eriocalyx afforded seventeen diterpenoids, including eight undescribed compounds. Eriocalyxins H-L have unique structural characteristics featuring a 5-epi-ent-kaurane diterpenoid scaffold with eriocalyxins H-K also possess an unusual 6,11-epoxyspiro-lactone ring while eriocalyxin L, a 1,7:3,20-diepoxy-ent kaurene, features an 1,7-oxygen linkage. The structures of these compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic data interpretation, and the absolute configurations of eriocalyxins H, I, L, and M were confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The isolates were screened for their inhibitory activities against VCAM-1 and ICAM-1 at 5 μM. While eriocalyxin O, coetsoidin A and laxiflorin P were found to significantly inhibit both VCAM-1 and ICAM-1, 8 (17),13-ent-labdadien-15 → 16-lactone-19-oic acid displayed evidently inhibitory effect against ICAM-1.
