Abstract
Non-viral gene delivery systems have received sustained attention as a promising alternative to viral vectors for disease treatment and prevention in recent years. Numerous methods have been developed to enhance gene uptake and delivery in the cytoplasm; however, due to technical difficulties and delivery efficiency, these systems still face challenges in a range of biological applications, especially in vivo. To alleviate this challenge, we devised a novel system for gene delivery based on a recombinant protein eTAT-ZF9-NLS, which consisted of a multifunctional chimeric peptide and a zinc-finger protein with sequence-specific DNA-binding activity. High transfection efficiency was observed in several mammalian cells after intracellular delivery of plasmid containing ZF9-binding sites mediated by eTAT-ZF9-NLS. Our new approach provides a novel transfection strategy and the transfection efficiency was confirmed both in vitro and in vivo, making it a preferential transfection reagent for possible gene therapy.

Abstract
The intrinsic pharmacokinetic limitations of traditional peptide-based cancer vaccines hamper effective cross-presentation and codelivery of antigens and adjuvants, which are crucial for inducing robust antitumor CD8+ T-cell responses. Here, we report the development of a versatile strategy that simultaneously addresses the different pharmacokinetic challenges of soluble subunit vaccines composed of antigens and CpG to modulate vaccine efficacy via translating an engineered chimeric peptide, eTAT, as an intramolecular adjuvant. Linking antigens to eTAT enhanced cytosolic delivery of the antigens. This, in turn, led to improved activation and lymph node-trafficking of antigen-presenting cells and antigen cross-presentation, thus promoting antigen-specific T-cell immune responses. Simple mixing of eTAT-linked antigens and CpG significantly enhanced codelivery of antigens and CpG to the antigen-presenting cells, and this substantially augmented the adjuvant effect of CpG, maximized vaccine immunogenicity and elicited robust and durable CD8+ T-cell responses. Vaccination with this formulation altered the tumor microenvironment and exhibited potent antitumor effects, with generally further enhanced therapeutic efficacy when used in combination with anti-PD1. Altogether, the engineered chimeric peptide-based orchestrated codelivery of antigen and adjuvant may serve as a promising but simple strategy to improve the efficacy of peptide-based cancer vaccines.

Abstract
Purpose To investigate the potential of radiomics signatures (RSs) from intratumoral and peritumoral regions on multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to noninvasively evaluate HER2 status in breast cancer. Method In this retrospective study, 992 patients with pathologically confirmed breast cancers who underwent preoperative MRI were enrolled. The breast cancer lesions were segmented manually, and the intratumor region of interest (ROIIntra) was dilated by 2, 4, 6 and 8 mm (ROIPeri2mm, ROIPeri4mm, ROIPeri6mm, and ROIPeri8mm, respectively). Quantitative radiomics features were extracted from dynamic contrast-enhanced T1-weighted imaging (DCE-T1), fat-saturated T2-weighted imaging (T2) and diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI). A three-step procedure was performed for feature selection, and RSs were constructed using a support vector machine (SVM) to predict HER2 status. Result The best single-area RSs for predicting HER2 status were DCE_Peri4mm-RS, T2_Peri4mm-RS, and DWI_Peri4mm-RS, yielding areas under the curve (AUCs) of 0.716 (95% confidence interval (CI), 0.648-0.778), 0.706 (95% CI, 0.637-0.768), and 0.719 (95% CI, 0.651-0.780), respectively, in the test set. The optimal RSs combining intratumoral and peritumoral regions for evaluating HER2 status were DCE-T1_Intra + DCE_Peri4mm-RS, T2_Intra + T2_Peri6mm-RS and DWI_Intra + DWI_Peri4mm-RS, with AUCs of 0.752 (95% CI, 0.686-0.810), 0.754 (95% CI, 0.688-0.812) and 0.725 (95% CI, 0.657-0.786), respectively, in the test set. Combining three sequences in the ROIIntra, ROIPeri2mm, ROIPeri4mm, ROIPeri6mm and ROIPeri8mm areas, the optimal RS was DCE-T1_Peri4mm + T2_Peri4mm + DWI_Peri4mm-RS, achieving an AUC of 0.795 (95% CI, 0.733-0.849) in the test set. Conclusion This study systematically explored the influence of the intratumoral region, different peritumoral sizes and their combination in radiomics analysis for predicting HER2 status in breast cancer based on multiparametric MRI and found the optimal RS.

Abstract
Integrated quantum photonic circuits require the efficient coupling of photon sources to photonic waveguides. Hybrid plasmonic/photonic platforms are a promising approach, taking advantage of both plasmon modal confinement for efficient coupling to a nearby emitter and photonic circuitry for optical data transfer and processing. In this work, we established directional quantum dot (QD) emission coupling to a planar TiO2waveguide assisted by a Yagi-Uda antenna. Antenna on waveguide is first designed by scaling radio frequency dimensions to nano-optics, taking into account the hybrid plasmonic/photonic platform. Design is then optimized by full numerical simulations. We fabricate the antenna on a TiO2planar waveguide and deposit a few QDs close to the Yagi-Uda antenna. The optical characterization shows clear directional coupling originating from antenna effect. We estimate the coupling efficiency and directivity of the light emitted into the waveguide.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Gastric cancer (GC) is one of the most common malignant tumors worldwide. Nevertheless, GC still lacks effective diagnosed and monitoring method and treating targets. This study used multi omics data to explore novel biomarkers and immune therapy targets around sphingolipids metabolism genes (SMGs). METHOD LASSO regression analysis was performed to filter prognostic and differently expression SMGs among TCGA and GTEx data. Risk score model and Kaplan-Meier were built to validate the prognostic SMG signature and prognostic nomogram was further constructed. The biological functions of SMG signature were annotated via multi omics. The heterogeneity landscape of immune microenvironment in GC was explored. qRT-PCR was performed to validate the expression level of SMG signature. Competing endogenous RNA regulatory network was established to explore the molecular regulatory mechanisms. RESULT 3-SMGs prognostic signature (GLA, LAMC1, TRAF2) and related nomogram were constructed combing several clinical characterizes. The expression difference and diagnostic value were validated by PCR data. Multi omics data reveals 3-SMG signature affects cell cycle and death via several signaling pathways to regulate GC progression. Overexpression of 3-SMG signature influenced various immune cell infiltration in GC microenvironment. RBP-SMGs-miRNA-mRNAs/lncRNAs regulatory network was built to annotate regulatory system. CONCLUSION Upregulated 3-SMGs signature are excellent predictive diagnosed and prognostic biomarkers, providing a new perspective for future GC immunotherapy.

Abstract
Soil phoD-harboring microorganisms can facilitate phosphorus (P) transformation and increase the available P (AP) in P-limited soils; however, the mechanism by which these microorganisms enhance AP throughout the vegetation recovery process of karst ecosystems is poorly understood. Accordingly, this study investigates the effect of vegetation recovery on soil AP and the community composition and network connectivity of phoD-harboring microorganisms to elucidate the mechanism by which phoD-harboring microorganisms enhance soil AP in the four vegetation recovery stages (i.e., grassland, shrubland, shrub-arbor forest, and arbor forest) in a karst ecosystem. Results show that soil total P, AP, and microbial biomass P concentrations, as well as alkaline phosphatase activities, litter and soil nutrients, and plant diversity indices (Shannon-Wiener and Pielou) increase with advancing vegetation recovery. Moreover, the diversity indices (Shannon-Wiener and Simpson) and network complexity of the phoD-harboring microorganisms also increase with advancing vegetation recovery, leading to distinct communities among the four recovery stages. Rhizobiales, Pseudomonadales, and Burkholderiales comprise the dominant phoD-harboring microorganism orders. The relative abundances of Pseudomonadales and Burkholderiales increase with advancing vegetation recovery; Rhizobiales is the highest in shrubland and the lowest in grassland. The structural equation model results show that advanced vegetation recovery is associated with increased plant diversity, litter nutrients, and soil nutrients. The network connectivity is enhanced with advancing vegetation recovery accompanied by increasing soil phosphatase activity and P availability. These results suggest that regulating the phoD-harboring microorganism composition and network connectivity is essential to alleviate plant P limitation in karst ecosystems.

Abstract
Background: Human aldo-keto reductase family 1 member C3 (AKR1C3) is an important molecule that participates in multiple physiological metabolic processes. However, its expression, biological functions and clinical significance in gastric carcinogenesis are unclear. Methods: We collected data from several public data portals and clinical samples and systematically analyzed the clinical significance of tissue and plasma AKR1C3 expression. Then, we filtered prognostic risk factors and established novel prognosis-related nomogram models for predicting overall survival time and postoperative recurrence risk. The application value of the nomogram models was further assessed using clinical samples. Moreover, we explored the potential biological functions of AKR1C3 in gastric carcinogenesis and metastasis through multiomics functional analysis and immune infiltration analysis. Results: AKR1C3 levels were reduced in cancer tissue but increased significantly in the plasma of GC patients; AKR1C3 expression in either sample type was closely associated with multiple clinicopathological characteristics. By combining clinicopathological factors and AKR1C3 levels, two novel nomogram models were developed to predict overall survival time and postoperative recurrence risk. Multiomics functional analysis revealed that when its expression is dysregulated, AKR1C3 can widely participate in gene expression regulation through multiple regulatory modes at the gene, RNA and protein levels and exert various crucial biological effects in carcinogenesis and metastasis. Moreover, AKR1C3 expression was correlated with the infiltration of several immune cell types, and AKR1C3 was predicted to interact with several clinical drugs. Conclusion: Dysregulated AKR1C3 expression is related to gastric carcinogenesis and immunotherapy response and is a promising biomarker and effective biotherapy target in GC.

Abstract
Objective To develop a contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CECT) based radiomics model using machine learning method and assess its ability of preoperative prediction for the early recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Methods A total of 297 patients confirmed with HCC were assigned to the training dataset and test dataset based on the 8:2 ratio, and the follow-up period of the patients was from May 2012 to July 2017. The lesion sites were manually segmented using ITK-SNAP, and the pyradiomics platform was applied to extract radiomic features. We established the machine learning model to predict the early recurrence of HCC. The accuracy, AUC, standard deviation, specificity, and sensitivity were applied to evaluate the model performance. Results 1,688 features were extracted from the arterial phase and venous phase images, respectively. When arterial phase and venous phase images were employed correlated with clinical factors to train a prediction model, it achieved the best performance (AUC with 95% CI 0.8300(0.7560-0.9040), sensitivity 89.45%, specificity 79.07%, accuracy 82.67%, p value 0.0064). Conclusion The CECT-based radiomics may be helpful to non-invasively reveal the potential connection between CECT images and early recurrence of HCC. The combination of radiomics and clinical factors could boost model performance.

Abstract
The increase in storm surge events caused by climate change exacerbates adverse effects on seawater inundation in coastal areas. An accurate description of the water level curve is crucial for understanding the process of saltwater intrusion (SWI) resulting from storm surge. Most studies involving empirical surges as inputs to groundwater models, often simplify spatial and temporal seawater inundation processes, which may increase the uncertainty in vertical seawater intrusion. To address this gap, we employed a comprehensive modeling approach using storm surge model ADCIRC and numerical simulator HydroGeoSphere to reveal SWI dynamics during a historical storm surge event in a coastal farm, considering varying tidal-surge phases and typhoon intensities. Our findings indicate pronounced SWI variations even with consistently highest water level during a storm surge, contingent on prior tidal processes. The timing of typhoon landfall on an hourly scale yielded diverse water level curves, altering the function of SWI. Intriguingly, SWI exacerbates following a high tide with 31.2 % average salinity higher, highlighting the profound modulation effect of tidal levels on SWI. Local topography significantly influenced SWI dynamics. Ponds, for instance, retained elevated salinity levels for over 15 h, indicating a more prolonged exposure to salinity than roads. These findings underscore the importance of considering both tidal influences and topographical factors in understanding and mitigating SWI in coastal agricultural management.

Abstract
Objective: To understand the epidemiological characteristics of diarrheagenic Escherichia (E. ) coli infection in infectious diarrhea outpatients aged 15 years and older in Shanghai and provide evidence for the development of disease control strategies. Methods: Based on multistage systematic sampling, diarrhea surveillance was conducted in 22 sentinel hospitals in Shanghai, the information about cases' demographic, clinical, and epidemiological characteristics were collected. Stool samples were collected for the detection and typing of diarrheagenic E. coli by local centers for disease control and prevention. The positive rate of diarrheagenic E. coli in different populations and seasons from 2014 to 2021 were analyzed. Statistical analysis was conducted by using χ2 test. Results: In 15 185 diarrhea cases, 8.05% (1 222/15 185) were positive for diarrheagenic E. coli. The positive rate was higher in men (8.74%, 684/7 824) than in women (7.31%, 538/7 361). The positive rate was highest in age group 15-29 years (9.14%, 335/3 665) and the annual positive rate was highest in 2021 (10.21%, 83/813), the differences were all significant (P<0.05). In the 1 264 strains of diarrheagenic E. coli analyzed through PCR, enterotoxingenic E. coli was the most frequently identified pathogen (50.24%, 635/1 264), followed by enteroadhesive E. coli (27.93%, 353/1 264), and enteropathogenic E. coli (21.36%, 270/1 264). The positive rate of diarrheagenic E. coli showed obvious seasonality with peak in summer (13.92%, 774/5 562) (χ2=495.73, P<0.001). Conclusions: Diarrheagenic E. coli has become a prominent pathogen in infectious diarrhea cases in Shanghai, the disease can occur all the year round with incidence peak during summer and autumn. Predominant subtypes included enterotoxingenic E. coli, enteroadhesive E. coli and enteropathogenic E. coli. Targeted prevention and control strategies are needed for diarrheagenic E. coli-induced infectious diarrhea in different age groups, seasons and for different types of infections.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To differentiate benign and malignant solitary pulmonary lesions (SPLs) by amide proton transfer-weighted imaging (APTWI), mono-exponential model DWI (MEM-DWI), stretched exponential model DWI (SEM-DWI), and 18F-FDG PET-derived parameters. METHODS A total of 120 SPLs patients underwent chest 18F-FDG PET/MRI were enrolled, including 84 in the training set (28 benign and 56 malignant) and 36 in the test set (13 benign and 23 malignant). MTRasym(3.5 ppm), ADC, DDC, α, SUVmax, MTV, and TLG were compared. The area under receiver-operator characteristic curve (AUC) was used to assess diagnostic efficacy. The Logistic regression analysis was used to identify independent predictors and establish prediction model. RESULTS SUVmax, MTV, TLG, α, and MTRasym(3.5 ppm) values were significantly lower and ADC, DDC values were significantly higher in benign SPLs than malignant SPLs (all P < 0.01). SUVmax, ADC, and MTRasym(3.5 ppm) were independent predictors. Within the training set, the prediction model based on these independent predictors demonstrated optimal diagnostic efficacy (AUC, 0.976; sensitivity, 94.64%; specificity, 92.86%), surpassing any single parameter with statistical significance. Similarly, within the test set, the prediction model exhibited optimal diagnostic efficacy. The calibration curves and DCA revealed that the prediction model not only had good consistency but was also able to provide a significant benefit to the related patients, both in the training and test sets. CONCLUSION The SUVmax, ADC, and MTRasym(3.5 ppm) were independent predictors for differentiation of benign and malignant SPLs, and the prediction model based on them had an optimal diagnostic efficacy.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES The effects of electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) on the larynx are relatively unknown. This study examined the short-term effects of e-cigarette inhalation on cellular and inflammatory responses within the mouse laryngeal glottic and subglottic regions after exposure to pod-based devices (JUUL). METHODS Male C57BL6/J mice (8-9 weeks) were assigned to control (n = 9), JUUL flavors Mint (JMi; n = 10) or Mango (JMa; n = 10). JUUL mice were exposed to 2 h/day for 1, 5, and 10 days using the inExpose inhalation system. Control mice were in room air. Vocal fold (VF) epithelial thickness, cell proliferation, subglandular area and composition, inflammatory cell infiltration, and surface topography were evaluated in the harvested larynges. Mouse body weight and urinary nicotine biomarkers were also measured. Chemical analysis of JUUL aerosols was conducted using selective ion flow tube mass spectrometry. RESULTS JUUL-exposed mice had reduced body weight after day 5. Urinary nicotine biomarker levels indicated successful JUUL exposure and metabolism. Quantitative analysis of JUUL aerosol indicated that chemical constituents differ between JMi and JMa flavors. VF epithelial thickness, cellular proliferation, glandular area, and surface topography remained unchanged after JUUL exposures. Acidic mucus content increased after 1 day of JMi exposure. VF macrophage and T-cell levels slightly increased after 10 days of JMi exposures. CONCLUSIONS Short-term e-cigarette exposures cause minimal flavor- and region-specific cellular and inflammatory changes in the mouse larynx. This work provides a foundation for long-term studies to determine if these responses are altered with multiple e-cigarette components and concentrations. Abstract
PURPOSE This research was performed to evaluate the relationship between hypertension (HTN) and abdominal obesity index in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). METHODS Totally 1657 participants with T2DM (mean age 54 ± 12 years; 38.02% female) were enrolled. They were divided into the groups of HTN (n = 775) and non-HTN (n = 882). Anthropometric and biochemical indicators were measured and collected. A bioelectrical impedance analyzer was used to measure visceral and subcutaneous fat areas. RESULTS Compared with the HTN group, the non-HTN group had a lower level of Chinese visceral adiposity index (CVAI) (p < 0.001). Meanwhile, among tertiles of CVAI, as CVAI increased, the proportion of patients with HTN increased, which was 33.51%, 44.30%, and 62.50%, respectively. CVAI was shown to have a significant positive correlation with HTN. (r = 0.258, p < 0.001). CVAI was independently related to an elevated risk of HTN by binary logistic regression analyses, and the OR was (95% CI) 1.013 (1.010-1.016, p < 0.001) after adjustment. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) of CVAI predicted HTN in T2DM patients was greater than those of other abdominal obesity indices (p < 0.001). CONCLUSION We found that CVAI was highly positively correlated with HTN in T2DM. Compared with other indices of abdominal obesity, such as WC, BMI, WHR, VAI, and LAP, the CVAI showed superior discriminative ability in T2DM complicated with HTN. Therefore, more attention should be paid to CVAI in T2DM.

Abstract
The microbial fermentation of food has emerged as an efficient means to eliminate pesticide residues in agricultural products; however, the specific degradation characteristics and mechanisms remain unclear. In this study, a Gram-positive bacterium, Aneurinibacillus aneurinilyticus D-21, isolated from fermented Pixian Douban samples exhibited the capability to degrade 45 mg/L of cyfluthrin with an efficiency of 90.37%. Product analysis unveiled a novel cyfluthrin degradation pathway, involving the removal of the cyanide group and ammoniation of the ester bond into an amide. Whole genome analysis discovered the enzymes linked to cyfluthrin degradation, including nitrilase, esterase, carbon-nitrogen ligases, and enzymes associated with aromatic degradation. Additionally, metabolome analysis identified 140 benzenoids distributed across various aromatic metabolic pathways, further substantiating D-21's catabolic capability toward aromatics. This study underscores the exceptional pyrethroid degradation prowess of A. aneurinilyticus D-21, positioning it as a promising candidate for the biotreatment of pesticide residues in food systems.

Abstract
Developing high-performance organic-inorganic ultraviolet (UV) photodetectors (PDs) has attracted considerable attention. However, this development has been hindered due to poor directional charge-transfer ratios in transport layers, excessive costs, and an ambiguous underlying mechanism. To tackle these challenges, we constructed a heterojunction of economic Mg-doped ZnO (MgZnO) nanorods and poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)-poly(styrenesulfonate) [PEDOT:PSS (P:P)] that utilizes dipole field-driven spontaneous polarization to enhance photogenerated charge kinetics. As a result, the proposed heterojunction has an improved noise equivalent power of 3.16 × 10-11 W Hz-1/2), a normalized detection rate (D*) of 8.96 × 109 jones, and external quantum efficiency comparable to other ZnO-based devices. Notably, the prepared PDs showed a photocurrent of 4.8 × 10-3 μA under a faint UV light having an intensity of 1 × 10-5 W cm-2, exceeding the performance of the most state-of-the-art ZnO-based UV sensors. The introduction of Mg into ZnO is responsible for the high performance, as it causes a lattice mismatch and distortion of the Mg-doped ZnO unit cell. It results in improved dipole movement and the creation of a dipole field, accelerating the directional electron-transfer process. Using a dipole field to manipulate the migration and transport of photogenerated carriers represents a promising approach for achieving outstanding performance in UV PDs.

Abstract
Sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) have been recognized as one of the most promising new energy storage devices for their rich sodium resources, low cost and high safety. The electrolyte, as a bridge connecting the cathode and anode electrodes, plays a vital role in determining the performance of SIBs, such as coulombic efficiency, energy density and cycle life. Therefore, the overall performance of SIBs could be significantly improved by adjusting the electrolyte composition or adding a small number of functional additives. In this review, the fundamentals of SIB electrolytes including electrode-electrolyte interface and solvation structure are introduced. Then, the mechanisms of electrolyte additive action on SIBs are discussed, with a focus on film-forming additives, flame-retardant additives and overcharge protection additives. Finally, the future research of electrolytes is prospected from the perspective of scientific concepts and practical applications.

Abstract
P2-phase layered cathodes play a pivotal role in sodium-ion batteries due to their efficient Na+ intercalation chemistry. However, limited by crystal disintegration and interfacial instability, bulk and interfacial failure plague their electrochemical performance. To address these challenges, a structural enhancement combined with surface modification is achieved through trace Y doping. Based on a synergistic combination of experimental results and density functional theory (DFT) calculations, the introduction of partial Y ions at the Na site (2d) acts as a stabilizing pillar, mitigating the electrostatic repulsions between adjacent TMO2 slabs and thereby relieving internal structural stress. Furthermore, the presence of Y effectively optimizes the Ni 3d-O 2p hybridization, resulting in enhanced electronic conductivity and a notable rapid charging ability, with a capacity of 77.3 mA h g-1 at 40 C. Concurrently, the introduction of Y also induces the formation of perovskite nano-islands, which serve to minimize side reactions and modulate interfacial diffusion. As a result, the refined P2-Na0.65 Y0.025 [Ni0.33 Mn0.67 ]O2 cathode material exhibits an exceptionally low volume variation (≈1.99%), an impressive capacity retention of 83.3% even at -40 °C after1500 cycles at 1 C.

Abstract
A rarely discussed phenomenon in the realm of photocatalytic materials involves the presence of gradient distributed dopants and defects from the interior to the surface. This intriguing characteristic has been successfully achieved in the case of ZnS through the incorporation of atomic monovalent copper ions (Cu+) and concurrent sulfur vacancies (Vs), resulting in a photocatalyst denoted as G-CZS1-x. Through the cooperative action of these atomic Cu dopants and Vs, G-CZS1-x significantly extends its photoabsorption range to encompass the full spectrum (200-2100 nm), which improves the solar utilization ability. This alteration enhances the efficiency of charge separation and optimizes Δ(H*) (free energy of hydrogen adsorption) to approach 0 eV for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). It is noteworthy that both surface-exposed atomic Cu and Vs act as active sites for photocatalysis. G-CZS1-x exhibits a significant H2 evolution rate of 1.01 mmol h-1 in the absence of a cocatalyst. This performance exceeds the majority of previously reported photocatalysts, exhibiting approximately 25-fold as ZnS, and 5-fold as H-CZS1-x with homogeneous distribution of equal content Cu dopants and Vs. In contrast to G-CZS1-x, the H adsorption on Cu sites for H-CZS1-x (ΔG(H*) = -1.22 eV) is excessively strong to inhibit the H2 release, and the charge separation efficiency for H-CZS1-x is relatively sluggish, revealing the positive role of a gradient distribution model of dopants and defects on activity enhancement. This work highlights the synergy of atomic dopants and defects in advancing photoactivity, as well as the significant benefit of the controllable distribution model of dopants and defects for photocatalysis.

Abstract
Ester-containing deltamethrin pesticides are widely used in farmland and have inevitable side effects on the biosphere and human health. Microbia have been used for efficient degradation of deltamethrin, but the related mechanism and enzyme characteristics have not been elucidated. In this study, a species Brevibacillus parabrevis BCP-09 could degrade up to 75 mg L-1 deltamethrin with a degradation efficiency of 95.41%. Proteomic and genomic methods were used to explore its degradation mechanism. Enzymes belonged to hydrolases, oxidases and aromatic compound degrading enzymes were expressed enhanced and might participate in the deltamethrin degradtion. RT-PCR experiment and enzyme activity analysis verified the degradation of deltamethrin by bacterial protein. Additionally, the formation of endospores can help strain BCP-09 resist the toxicity of deltamethrin and enhance its degradation. This study supplies a scientific evidence for the application of Brevibacillus parabrevis BCP-09 in the bioremediation of environmental pollution and enriches the resources of deltamethrin-biodegradable proteins.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Systematic reviews (SRs) are becoming essential evidence in the decision-making process within the field of social sciences. This study aimed to investigate how Campbell SRs were cited and explore their specific application roles. STUDY DESIGN AND SETTING We included Campbell SRs published between 2016 and 2020 by searching the Wiley online library, and retrieved the articles and documents citing Campbell SRs from the Web of Science and Google Scholar by December 31, 2021. We described the characteristics of the SRs and citations, and formulated a set of application roles by analyzing the sentences or paragraphs where the SRs were cited. RESULTS Sixty nine Campbell SRs were published between 2016 and 2020; they were cited in 641 articles or documents a total of 1,289 times. The primary types of articles that cited Campbell SRs were cross-sectional studies (n = 226, 35.3%), SRs (n = 112, 17.5%), randomized controlled trials (n = 77, 12.0%), and policy reports (n = 57, 8.8%). Articles utilizing Campbell SRs were predominantly led by authors from the United States (n = 184, 28.7%), the United Kingdom (n = 98, 15.3%), and Australia (n = 51, 8.0%). We formulated a set of 10 application roles for the Campbell SRs, of which the most frequent were: describing the current status in the field of interest (n = 691, 53.6%), corroboration of the results (n = 140, 10.9%), identifying research gaps (n = 130, 10.1%), and providing methodological references (n = 126, 9.8%); the role of supporting policy recommendations or decisions accounted for 6.0% (n = 77) of the citations. Approximately 12% of Campbell SRs were used to support policy recommendations or decisions. CONCLUSION Campbell SRs are widely applied, particularly in scientific research, to describe the current status in the field of interest. Although the current application of Campbell SRs in supporting policy recommendations and decisions may not be predominant, there is a growing recognition of their value in using Campbell SRs to inform decision-making.

Abstract
Dental caries and periodontal disease are amongst the most prevalent global disorders. Their aetiology is rooted in microbial activity within the oral cavity, through the generation of detrimental metabolites and the instigation of potentially adverse host immune responses. Due to the increasing threat of antimicrobial resistance, alternative approaches to readdress the balance are necessary. Advances in sequencing technologies have established relationships between disease and oral dysbiosis, and commercial enterprises seek to identify probiotic and prebiotic formulations to tackle preventable oral disorders through colonisation with, or promotion of, beneficial microbes. It is the metabolic characteristics and immunomodulatory capabilities of resident species which underlie health status. Research emphasis on the metabolic environment of the oral cavity has elucidated relationships between commensal and pathogenic organisms, for example, the sequential metabolism of fermentable carbohydrates deemed central to acid production in cariogenicity. Therefore, a focus on the preservation of an ecological homeostasis in the oral environment may be the most appropriate approach to health conservation. In this review we discuss an ecological approach to the maintenance of a healthy oral environment and debate the potential use of probiotic and prebiotic supplementation, specifically targeted at sustaining oral niches to preserve the delicately balanced microbiome.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Node Reporting and Data System (Node-RADS) was proposed and can be applied to lymph nodes (LNs) across all anatomical sites. This study aimed to investigate the diagnostic performance of Node-RADS in cervical cancer patients. METHODS A total of 81 cervical cancer patients treated with radical hysterectomy and LN dissection were retrospectively enrolled. Node-RADS evaluations were performed by two radiologists on preoperative MRI scans for all patients, both at the LN level and patient level. Chi-square and Fisher's exact tests were employed to evaluate the distribution differences in size and configuration between patients with and without LN metastasis (LNM) in various regions. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) and the area under the curve (AUC) were used to explore the diagnostic performance of the Node-RADS score for LNM. RESULTS The rates of LNM in the para-aortic, common iliac, internal iliac, external iliac, and inguinal regions were 7.4%, 9.3%, 19.8%, 21.0%, and 2.5%, respectively. At the patient level, as the NODE-RADS score increased, the rate of LNM also increased, with rates of 26.1%, 29.2%, 42.9%, 80.0%, and 90.9% for Node-RADS scores 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, respectively. At the patient level, the AUCs for Node-RADS scores > 1, >2, > 3, and > 4 were 0.632, 0.752, 0.763, and 0.726, respectively. Both at the patient level and LN level, a Node-RADS score > 3 could be considered the optimal cut-off value with the best AUC and accuracy. CONCLUSIONS Node-RADS is effective in predicting LNM for scores 4 to 5. However, the proportions of LNM were more than 25% at the patient level for scores 1 and 2, which does not align with the expected very low and low probability of LNM for these scores.

Abstract
Sepsis, a life-threatening health issue, lacks effective medicine targeting the septic response. In China, treatment combining the intravenous herbal medicine XueBiJing with conventional procedures reduces the 28-day mortality of critically ill patients by modulating septic response. In this study, we identified the combined active constituents that are responsible for the XueBiJing's anti-sepsis action. Sepsis was induced in rats by cecal ligation and puncture (CLP). The compounds were identified based on their systemic exposure levels and anti-sepsis activities in CLP rats that were given an intravenous bolus dose of XueBiJing. Furthermore, the identified compounds in combination were assessed, by comparing with XueBiJing, for levels of primary therapeutic outcome, pharmacokinetic equivalence, and pharmacokinetic compatibility. We showed that a total of 12 XueBiJing compounds, unchanged or metabolized, circulated with significant systemic exposure in CLP rats that received XueBiJing. Among these compounds, hydroxysafflor yellow A, paeoniflorin, oxypaeoniflorin, albiflorin, senkyunolide I, and tanshinol displayed significant anti-sepsis activities, which involved regulating immune responses, inhibiting excessive inflammation, modulating hemostasis, and improving organ function. A combination of the six compounds, with the same respective doses as in XueBiJing, displayed percentage survival and systemic exposure in CLP rats similar to those by XueBiJing. Both the combination and XueBiJing showed high degrees of pharmacokinetic compatibility regarding interactions among the six active compounds and influences of other circulating XueBiJing compounds. The identification of XueBiJing's pharmacologically significant constituents supports the medicine's anti-sepsis use and provides insights into a polypharmacology-based approach to develop medicines for effective sepsis management.

Abstract
p-Sulfonatocalix[n]arenes (SCnA) have demonstrated great potential for drug encapsulation through host-guest complexation to improve solubility, stability, and bioavailability. In this study, the solubilization effect of SCnA (n = 4, 6, 8) on 95 active compounds derived from traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) was investigated. Based on the significant solubilization effect on alkaloids, SC6A/SC8A and 76 alkaloids were selected as the host and guest, respectively, to determine the binding constant by competitive fluorescence titration. LASSO regression was adopted to investigate the mechanism of the complex of SCnA with alkaloids. The binding constant of alkaloids-SC6A and alkaloids-SC8A was related to the alkaloid alkalinity. Also, the electronegativity, polarization, first ionization potential, hydrogen bond potential, the molecular size, and shape of alkaloids are critical properties to determine alkaloids-SC6A binding constant as well as electronegativity, polarization, hydrophobicity, and the molecular size and shape of alkaloids play an important role for the alkaloids-SC8A binding constant.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To systematically collect and analyse diverse definitions of 'evidence' in both health and social sciences, and help users to correctly use the term 'evidence' and rethink what is the definition of 'evidence' in scientific research. DESIGN Scoping review. METHODS Definitions of evidence in the health sciences and social sciences were included. We have excluded the definition of evidence applied in the legal field, abstracts without full text, documents not published in either Chinese or English and so on. We established a multidisciplinary working group and systematically searched five electronic databases including Medline, Web of Science, EBSCO, the Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index and the Chinese Science Citation Database from their inception to 26 February 2022. We also searched websites and reviewed the reference lists of the identified studies. Six reviewers working in pairs, independently, selected studies according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, and extracted information. Any differences were discussed in pairs, and if there was disagreement, it was resolved via discussion or with the help of a third reviewer. Reviewers extracted document characteristics, the original content for the definitions of 'evidence', assessed definitions as either intensional or extensional, and any citations for the given definition. RESULTS Forty-nine documents were finally included after screening, and 68 definitions were obtained. After excluding duplicates, a total of 54 different definitions of 'evidence' were identified. There were 42 intensional definitions and 12 extensional definitions. The top three definiens were 'information', 'fact' and 'research/study'. The definition of 'evidence' differed between health and social sciences. The term 'research' appeared most frequently in the definitions. CONCLUSIONS The definition of 'evidence' has gradually attracted the attention of many scholars and decision-makers in health and social sciences. Nevertheless, there is no widely recognised and accepted definition in scientific research. Given the wide use of the term, we need to think about whether, or under what circumstances, a standardised, clear, meaningful and widely applicable definition of 'evidence' might be helpful.

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of fusion imaging contrast-enhanced ultrasound (FI-CEUS) of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) LI-RADS-indeterminate (LR-3/4) and conventional ultrasound undetected focal liver lesions (FLLs) in patients at risk for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Methods Between February 2020 and July 2021, 71 FLLs in 63 patients were registered for diagnostic performance evaluation respectively for ultrasound-guided thermal ablation evaluation in this retrospective study. Diagnostic performance regarding FLLs was compared between FI-CEUS and contrast-enhanced MRI (CE-MRI). Results For diagnostic performance evaluation, among 71 lesions in 63 patients, the diagnostic efficacy of FI-CEUS with LI-RADS was significantly higher than that of CE-MRI (P < 0.05) in both overall and hierarchical comparison (except for the group with lesion diameter ≥2 cm). For malignant lesions, the proportion of arterial phase hyperenhancement (APHE) and washout on FI-CEUS was higher than that on CE-MRI (P < 0.05). Conclusion FI-CEUS has a high value in the precise qualitative diagnosis of small FLLs (<2 cm) of MRI LI-RADS-indeterminate diagnosis (LR-3/4) that are undetected by conventional ultrasound in patients at risk for HCC and can be a good supplementary CE-MRI diagnostic method for thermal ablation evaluation.

Abstract
Identifying the ATP-binding sites of proteins is fundamentally important to uncover the mechanisms of protein functions and explore drug discovery. Many computational methods are proposed to predict ATP-binding sites. However, due to the limitation of the quality of feature representation, the prediction performance still has a big room for improvement. In this study, we propose an end-to-end deep learning model, E2EATP, to dig out more discriminative information from a protein sequence for improving the ATP-binding site prediction performance. Concretely, we employ a pretrained deep learning-based protein language model (ESM2) to automatically extract high-latent discriminative representations of protein sequences relevant for protein functions. Based on ESM2, we design a residual convolutional neural network to train a protein-ATP binding site prediction model. Furthermore, a weighted focal loss function is used to reduce the negative impact of imbalanced data on the model training stage. Experimental results on the two independent testing data sets demonstrate that E2EATP could achieve higher Matthew's correlation coefficient and AUC values than most existing state-of-the-art prediction methods. The speed (about 0.05 s per protein) of E2EATP is much faster than the other existing prediction methods. Detailed data analyses show that the major advantage of E2EATP lies at the utilization of the pretrained protein language model that extracts more discriminative information from the protein sequence only. Abstract
OBJECTIVES To develop an [18F]FDG PET/3D-UTE model based on clinical factors, three-dimensional ultrashort echo time (3D-UTE), and PET radiomics features via machine learning for the assessment of lymph node (LN) status in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). METHODS A total of 145 NSCLC patients (training, 101 cases; test, 44 cases) underwent whole-body [18F]FDG PET/CT and chest [18F]FDG PET/MRI were enrolled. Preoperative clinical factors and 3D-UTE, CT, and PET radiomics features were analyzed. The Mann-Whitney U test, LASSO regression, and SelectKBest were used for feature extraction. Five machine learning algorithms were used to establish prediction models, which were evaluated by the area under receiver-operator characteristic (ROC), DeLong test, calibration curves, and decision curve analysis (DCA). RESULTS A prediction model based on random forest, consisting of four clinical factors, six 3D-UTE, and six PET radiomics features, was used as the final model for PET/3D-UTE. The AUCs of this model were 0.912 and 0.791 in the training and test sets, respectively, which not only showed different degrees of improvement over individual models such as clinical, 3D-UTE, and PET (AUC-training = 0.838, 0.834, and 0.828, AUC-test = 0.756, 0.745, and 0.768, respectively) but also achieved the similar diagnostic efficacy as the optimal PET/CT model (AUC-training = 0.890, AUC-test = 0.793). The calibration curves and DCA indicated good consistency (C-index, 0.912) and clinical utility of this model, respectively. CONCLUSION The [18F]FDG PET/3D-UTE model based on clinical factors, 3D-UTE, and PET radiomics features using machine learning methods could noninvasively assess the LN status of NSCLC. CLINICAL RELEVANCE STATEMENT A machine learning model of 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/ three-dimensional ultrashort echo time could noninvasively assess the lymph node status of non-small cell lung cancer, which provides a novel method with less radiation burden for clinical practice. KEY POINTS • The 3D-UTE radiomics model using the PLS-DA classifier was significantly associated with LN status in NSCLC and has similar diagnostic performance as the clinical, CT, and PET models. • The [18F]FDG PET/3D-UTE model based on clinical factors, 3D-UTE, and PET radiomics features using the RF classifier could noninvasively assess the LN status of NSCLC and showed improved diagnostic performance compared to the clinical, 3D-UTE, and PET models. • In the assessment of LN status in NSCLC, the [18F]FDG PET/3D-UTE model has similar diagnostic efficacy as the [18F]FDG PET/CT model that incorporates clinical factors and CT and PET radiomics features.

Abstract
Eustachian tube dysfunction (ETD) is a condition where the Eustachian tube (ET) fails to function normally, resulting in symptoms such as aural fullness, tinnitus, autophony, and hearing loss. ETD can further lead to middle ear diseases such as otitis media effusion and adhesive otitis media, which is becoming more common in the field of otology. Although the pathogenesis of ETD remains unclear, recent animal studies and clinical experiments have found allergic reactions and allergic diseases are closely related to the occurrence of ETD. As the mucosa of the ET is continuous with that of the nasopharynx and tympanic cavity, it is reasonable to assume that the immunological basis of the ET itself is similar to that of respiratory allergic diseases. However, due to the special anatomical location and complex pathogenesis of the ET, there is still no unified diagnostic gold standard. Additionally, there is an ongoing debate regarding whether ETD can be classified as a distinct disease or even an allergic disease. Furthermore, the effectiveness of anti-allergic therapy in patients with ETD is yet to be fully understood. Therefore, this review elaborates on the possible mechanisms of allergic reactions in the occurrence and development of ETD, and explores the potential role of anti-allergic therapy in managing this condition, in order to provide new insights into the pathogenesis and prevention of ETD.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Hydrochlorothiazide, a diuretic commonly used for the treatment of hypertension, is often associated with serious metabolic side effects. Pyrrosia petiolosa (Christ) Ching is a traditional Chinese medicine that possesses diuretic properties, without any obvious side effects. AIM To evaluate the diuretic effect of P. petiolosa (Christ) Ching and to elucidate its underlying mechanism of action. METHODS Extracts obtained from different polar components of P. petiolosa (Christ) Ching were analyzed for toxicity in a Kunming mouse model. The diuretic effects of the extracts were compared to that of hydrochlorothiazide in rats. In addition, compound isolation procedures, cell assays of Na-Cl cotransporter inhibition and rat diuretic test of monomeric compounds were conducted to identify the active ingredients in the extract. Subsequently, homology modeling and molecular docking were performed to explain the reason behind the diuretic activity observed. Finally, LC-MS analysis was used to elucidate the underlying mechanism of action of P. petiolosa (Christ) Ching. RESULTS No toxicity was observed in mice administered P. petiolosa (Christ) Ching extracts. The ethyl acetate fraction showed the most significant diuretic effect. Similar results were obtained during the analysis for Na+ content in rat urine. Further separation of P. petiolosa (Christ) Ching components led to the isolation of methyl chlorogenate, 2',3'-dihydroxy propyl pentadecanoate, and β-carotene. Results from cell assays showed that the Na-Cl cotransporter inhibitory activity of methyl chlorogenate was greater than that of hydrochlorothiazide. This result was again confirmed by the diuresis tests of monomeric compounds in rats. The molecular simulations explain the stronger interactions between the methyl chlorogenate and Na-Cl cotransporter. Of the compounds determined using LC-MS analysis, 185 were identified to be mostly organic acids. CONCLUSIONS P. petiolosa possesses significant diuretic activities without any obvious toxicity, with least two possible mechanisms of action. Further study on this herb is warranted.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the correlation between the histological classification of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), especially macrotrabecular-massive (MTM), tumor invasiveness, and prognosis. Methods: The clinical and follow-up data of 246 consecutive HCC cases who met the inclusion criteria from 2015 to 2018 were retrospectively analyzed. They were divided into trabecular/pseudoglandular, trabecular/patchy, and MTM types according to the histological classification. The relationship between each type and related clinicopathological features was analyzed. The Kaplan-Meier method was used to plot tumor-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) curves. Log rank tests, COX univariate, and multivariate regression analyses were conducted to analyze the relationship between clinical features, including histological classification, DFS, and OS. Results: Trabecular/pseudoglandular, trabecular/nodular, and MTM type proportions were 44.7% (110 cases), 32.9% (81 cases), and 22.4% (55 cases), respectively. The results of the clinicopathological features showed that MTM-type HCC was significantly more invasive than the other two types, with alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) ≥400 ng/ml, tumor diameter≥8 cm, no tumor capsule, poor differentiation, and MVI positivity proportions, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05).The proportion of MTM-type HCC patients with American Joint Committee on Cancer TNM Stage III to IV and Chinese Liver Cancer Staging (CNLC) II to II was significantly higher than that of the first two types, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). In addition, the proportion of MTM subtypes undergoing transcatheter arterial chemoembolization was also raised (P < 0.05). The DFS and OS were significantly lower for MTM-type HCC compared to trabecular/pseudoductal-type HCC at 1-, 3-, and 5-years, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Univariate analysis indicated that strongly invasive clinical pathological features such as alpha fetoprotein (AFP) ≥400 ng/ml, tumor diameter ≥ 8 cm, no tumor capsule, poor differentiation, positive microvascular invasion, tumor stage, and MTM staging were all risk factors affecting DFS and OS (P < 0.05). Multivariate COX analysis showed that MTM histological staging, AFP ≥ 400 ng/ml, tumor non-encapsulation, satellite nodules, CNLC stages II~III, and TNM stages III~IV were independent risk factors for DFS (P < 0.05), while AFP ≥ 400 ng/ml, tumor non-encapsulation, and CNLC stage II~III were independent risk factors for OS ( P < 0.05). Conclusion: Histological classification is highly correlated with tumor invasiveness and HCC prognosis. Trabecular/pseudoglandular types have lower malignancy and a better prognosis, while MTM types exhibit strong invasive features and a poor prognosis.

Abstract
BACKGROUND In CheckMate 227 Part 1, first-line nivolumab plus ipilimumab prolonged overall survival (OS) in patients with metastatic non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and tumor programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression ≥1% versus chemotherapy. We report results from CheckMate 227 Part 2, which evaluated nivolumab plus chemotherapy versus chemotherapy in patients with metastatic NSCLC regardless of tumor PD-L1 expression. PATIENTS AND METHODS Seven hundred and fifty-five patients with systemic therapy-naive, stage IV/recurrent NSCLC without EGFR mutations or ALK alterations were randomized 1 : 1 to nivolumab 360 mg every 3 weeks plus chemotherapy or chemotherapy. Primary endpoint was OS with nivolumab plus chemotherapy versus chemotherapy in patients with nonsquamous NSCLC. OS in all randomized patients was a hierarchically tested secondary endpoint. RESULTS At 19.5 months' minimum follow-up, no significant improvement in OS was seen with nivolumab plus chemotherapy versus chemotherapy in patients with nonsquamous NSCLC [median OS 18.8 versus 15.6 months, hazard ratio (HR) 0.86, 95.62% confidence interval (CI) 0.69-1.08, P = 0.1859]. Descriptive analyses showed OS improvement with nivolumab plus chemotherapy versus chemotherapy in all randomized patients (median OS 18.3 versus 14.7 months, HR 0.81, 95.62% CI 0.67-0.97) and in an exploratory analysis in squamous NSCLC (median OS 18.3 versus 12.0 months, HR 0.69, 95% CI 0.50-0.97). A trend toward improved OS was seen with nivolumab plus chemotherapy versus chemotherapy, regardless of the tumor mutation status of STK11 or TP53, regardless of tumor mutational burden, and in patients with intermediate/poor Lung Immune Prognostic Index scores. Safety with nivolumab plus chemotherapy was consistent with previous reports of first-line settings. CONCLUSIONS CheckMate 227 Part 2 did not meet the primary endpoint of OS with nivolumab plus chemotherapy versus chemotherapy in patients with metastatic nonsquamous NSCLC. Descriptive analyses showed prolonged OS with nivolumab plus chemotherapy in all-randomized and squamous NSCLC populations, suggesting that this combination may benefit patients with untreated metastatic NSCLC.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION We aimed to evaluate the effect of continuous quality improvement on modified gastrointestinal decompression under abdominal computed tomography (CT) in patients with intestinal obstruction. METHODS The CT images of 74 patients with intestinal obstruction who underwent gastrointestinal decompression in our hospital from 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2019 were analysed retrospectively (Control group). Factors influencing unsatisfactory decompression effects were analysed, and corresponding improvement measures were formulated and implemented. A total of 77 patients from 1 January 2020 to 31 March 2022 were enrolled prospectively (Study group). The position of the nasogastric tube end, the amount of gastric drainage within 24h and the degree of abdominal distension relief were compared before and after the improvement. RESULTS After implementation of continuous quality improvement, the proportion of the end of the nasogastric tube reaching the antrum, the amount of gastric fluid drainage within 24h and the degree of abdominal distension relief were better than those before improvement (p<0.001, respectively). The execution rate and accuracy rate of CT interpretations by nurses reached 100% and 82%, respectively. CONCLUSIONS Modified gastrointestinal decompression based on abdominal CT scans can increase the success of gastrointestinal decompression and effectively reduce the discomfort of patients.

Abstract
Lipstick is one of the most commonly used cosmetics, which is closely associated with female attractiveness and influences people's perception and behavior. This study aimed to investigate the impact of light sources, lipstick colors, as well as gender on the subjective assessment of lipstick color products from the prospective of color preference, purchase intention and sexual attractiveness. The correlation between color preference evaluations when applying lipstick on lips and on forearms was also explored. Sixty participants completed their visual assessment of 15 lipsticks worn by 3 models under 5 light sources, with uniformly sampled correlated color temperature (CCT) values ranging from 2,500 K to 6,500 K. The results indicated that the light source significantly influenced color preference and purchase intention, while lipstick color significantly impacted on sexual attractiveness. The interactions between gender and other factors were also observed and are discussed. Compared to men, women were found to be more sensitive to different light sources and hold different attitudes toward different lipstick colors under different CCTs. Interestingly, no significant correlation was found between lipstick color preference ratings on the lips and forearm, which conflicted with the commonly recognized way of lipstick color selection. These findings should contribute to a deeper understanding of the consumer attitude toward lipstick colors and provide a useful reference for lighting design in situations where cosmetics are specified, manufactured, retailed and generally used, both professionally and in the home.

Abstract
A 45-year-old male patient was admitted to the hospital because of intermittent cough and expectoration for more than 1 year, worsened by dyspnea for 2 months, and was finally diagnosed with lung adenocarcinoma. The CT scan of the chest revealed lesions of diversity with fibrosis, mass and effusion, but his severe cough limited biopsy of the lesions. The difficult process of diagnosis was aided by the further analysis of the sputum, which showed significantly elevated amylase without any evidence of pancreatic disease. The cough was relieved by intravenous pumping octreotide acetate, and both CT-guided lung biopsy and transbronchial biopsy revealed the lung adenocarcinoma. The diagnostic process of this case provided a helpful diagnostic thinking and demonstrated the rare clinical features of lung adenocarcinoma.

Abstract
Background Methamphetamine (METH) addiction causes a huge burden on society. The prefrontal cortex (PFC), associated with emotion and cognitive behaviours, is also involved in addiction neurocircuitry. Although bulk RNA sequencing has shown METH-induced gene alterations in the mouse PFC, the impact on different cell types remains unknown. Aims To clarify the effects of METH treatment on different cell types of the PFC and the potential pathways involved in METH-related disorders. Methods We performed single-nucleus RNA sequencing (snRNA-seq) to examine the transcriptomes of 20 465 nuclei isolated from the PFC of chronic METH-treated and control mice. Main cell types and differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were identified and confirmed by RNA fluorescence in situ hybridization(FISH). Results Six main cell types were identified depending on the single-cell nucleus sequencing; of particular interest were the mature oligodendrocytes in the PFC. The DEGs of mature oligodendrocytes were enriched in the myelin sheath, adenosine triphosphate (ATP) metabolic process, mitochondrial function and components, and so on. The messenger RNA levels of Aldoc and Atp5l (FISH) and the protein level of the mitochondrial membrane pore subunit TOM40 (immunofluorescence) decreased in the mature oligodendrocytes. Fast blue staining and transmission electron microscopy image indicated myelin damage, and the myelin thickness decreased in METH brains. Conclusions snRNA-seq reveals altered transcriptomes of different cell types in mouse PFC induced by chronic METH treatment, underscoring potential relationships with psychiatric disorders.

Abstract
AIM To develop an integrated model based on preoperative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) features for predicting early recurrence in patients with triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). MATERIALS AND METHODS Women with TNBC who underwent breast MRI and surgery between 2009 and 2019 were evaluated retrospectively. Two breast radiologists reviewed MRI images independently based on the Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System Lexicon (BI-RADS), and classified the breast oedema scores on T2-weighted imaging (WI) as no oedema, peritumoural oedema, prepectoral oedema, or subcutaneous oedema. The relationship between disease-free survival (DFS) and MRI features was analysed by Cox regression, and a nomogram model was generated based on the results. RESULTS 150 patients with TNBC were included and divided into a training cohort (n=78) and validation cohort (n=72). MRI features including subcutaneous oedema and rim enhancement showed a tendency to worsen DFS in univariate analysis. Multivariate analysis showed that subcutaneous oedema (p=0.049, HR [95% confidence interval {CI} = 8.24 [1.01-67.52]) and rim enhancement (p=0.016, HR [95% CI] = 4.38 [1.32-14.54]) were independent predictors for DFS. In the nomogram, the areas under the curves (AUCs) of the training cohort was 0.808, and that of the validation cohort was 0.875. CONCLUSION The presence of subcutaneous oedema or rim enhancement on preoperative breast MRI was shown to be a good predictor of poor survival outcomes in patients with TNBC.

Abstract
Drawing on social cognition theory, this study aims to investigate the impact of workplace ostracism on pro-job unethical behavior by studying the mediating function of moral disengagement and the moderating function of interpersonal sensitivity and self-serving political will. Data were congregated from 527 Chinese employees. A positive effect of workplace ostracism on pro-job unethical behavior was found, which was partially mediated by moral disengagement. In addition, interpersonal sensitivity strengthened the connection between workplace ostracism and moral disengagement, and self-serving political will strengthened the connection between moral disengagement and pro-job unethical behavior. Both theoretical and practical value are discussed in the study.

Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) Approximately 95% of breast cancer (BC) patients receiving radiotherapy (RT) develop varying degrees of radiation dermatitis (RD), which can greatly affect the patient's quality of life and aesthetics. Severe acute RD can lead to interruption or delay of RT. Currently, there is no consensus on the prevention and management of RD. The skin microbiota (SM), which are mainly composed of bacteria and fungi, are essential for skin homeostasis and microbial dysbiosis is correlated with the onset and progression of many common skin diseases. However, to date, research on the role of the SM in RD remains scarce. This prospective, longitudinal study aims to analyze the association of SM with RD. MATERIALS/METHODS We collected 200 SM samples both before and after RT from the region in the irradiated chest wall of 100 BC patients receiving RT after reconstructive surgery and samples from the corresponding region in the contralateral breast for bacterial 16S and fungal ITS (internal transcribed spacer) rRNA sequencing. Acute RD was graded according to the Toxicity Criteria of the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG). Patients were divided into no or mild dermatitis (N/MD, RTOG grade 0 or 1) and severe dermatitis (SD, RTOG grade 2 and above). The compositional differences across groups were compared using STAMP and high-dimensional class comparisons by linear discriminant analysis of effect size (LEfSe). Differences in metabolic function between groups were predicted by the Phylogenetic Investigation of Communities by Reconstruction of Unobserved States (PICRUSt) method. RESULTS Significant differences were observed in the diversity and composition of the SM between N/MD and SD both before and after RT. Analysis of bacterial 16S sequencing (n = 89, 63 N/MD, 26 SD) showed significantly higher relative abundance of particular taxa such as Ralstonia, Truepera, Methyloversatilis genera and lower abundance of particular taxa including Staphylococcus, Corynebacterium genera in N/MD patients. Besides, analysis of fungal ITS sequencing (n = 71, 53 N/MD, 18 SD) showed significantly higher relative abundance of particular taxa such as Hypocreaceae family and lower abundance of particular taxa such as Sporidiobolus genus in N/MD patients. Pathways including fatty acid synthesis were predicted to be enriched in N/MD patients. CONCLUSION The SM and pathway markers were identified in this study to be associated with the severity of acute RD in BC patients undergoing RT after reconstructive surgery. More patient data is needed to verify the current findings and the results of metagenomic, metatranscriptomic, and metabolomic analyses will further mine key biomarkers at the compositional and functional level.

Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) Approximately half of patients with advanced HER2-positive breast cancer (BC) will develop brain metastases (BM) over time. Local therapy including stereotactic radiotherapy (SRT) and whole brain radiotherapy (WBRT) is the main initial treatment in malignant tumor patients with BM. However, more than 50% patients after radiotherapy in one year suffered intracranial recurrence. Pyrotinib, a small molecule, irreversible, pan-ErbB receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI), has a high potency for controlling BM and reducing the occurrence of brain metastases in advanced HER2-positive BC patients. We hypothesized that SRT or WBRT combined with pyrotinib and capecitabine could decrease intracranial progression in HER2 positive BC with newly diagnosed BM. MATERIALS/METHODS In this prospective single-arm phase Ib/II trial (NCT04582968), eligible patients were assigned to either fractionated stereotactic radiotherapy (FSRT) or whole-brain radiation therapy (WBRT), combined with pyrotinib and capecitabine. The primary endpoint was one-year CNS progression-free survival (PFS) rate. Secondary endpoints included intracranial objective response rate (IC-ORR) according to RANO-BM criteria, progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS) and evaluation of safety and neurocognitive function. RESULTS From January 2020 to August 2022, 40 patients were enrolled. Twenty-nine patients were treated with FSRT in 8 Gy per fraction with 3 to 5 fractions and 11 were treated with WBRT in 3 Gy per fraction with 10 fractions, and then received chemotherapy in a time frame starting from 0 to 7 days after radiotherapy. At a median follow-up of 17.3 months, 1-year CNS-PFS rate was 74.9% (95% CI 61.9-90.7%) and median CNS-PFS was 18 months (95% CI, 15.5 to NA months). One-year PFS rate was 66.9% (53.1-84.2%) and median PFS time was 17.6 months (95% CI 12.8-34.1 months). The best intracranial response rate (IC-ORR: complete response and partial response) was 92.5% (37/40). The most common grade 3 or worse toxicity was diarrhea (7.5%) and asymptomatic radiation necrosis was detected in 4 of 67(6.0%) lesions treated with FSRT. No differences of neurocognitive function evaluated by MMSE (Mini-Mental State Exam) were observed between different groups at any time point. CONCLUSION Radiotherapy combined with pyrotinib and capecitabine resulted in a promising efficacy that crossed the pre-specified boundary in patients with HER2-positive advanced breast cancer with brain metastases. This is the first prospective study showing the efficacy and safety of CNS radiotherapy concurrent with pyrotinib and capecitabine in patients with BM from HER2-positive breast cancer. Further investigation in a randomized controlled study is warranted.

Abstract
DNA N6-methyladenine (6mA) is one of the most common and abundant modifications, which plays essential roles in various biological processes and cellular functions. Therefore, the accurate identification of DNA 6mA sites is of great importance for a better understanding of its regulatory mechanisms and biological functions. Although significant progress has been made, there still has room for further improvement in 6mA site prediction in DNA sequences. In this study, we report a smart but accurate 6mA predictor, termed as SNN6mA, using Siamese network. To be specific, DNA segments are firstly encoded into feature vectors using the one-hot encoding scheme; then, these original feature vectors are mapped to a low-dimensional embedding space derived from Siamese network to capture more discriminative features; finally, the obtained low-dimensional features are fed to a fully connected neural network to perform final prediction. Stringent benchmarking tests on the datasets of two species demonstrated that the proposed SNN6mA is superior to the state-of-the-art 6mA predictors. Detailed data analyses show that the major advantage of SNN6mA lies in the utilization of Siamese network, which can map the original features into a low-dimensional embedding space with more discriminative capability. In summary, the proposed SNN6mA is the first attempt to use Siamese network for 6mA site prediction and could be easily extended to predict other types of modifications. Abstract
A concise approach to the construction of the 2-pyrrolin-5-one scaffold was developed via a one-pot reaction with formal [3 + 2] annulation/elimination between β-keto nitrile/β-keto ester and unsubstituted α-halohydroxamates. This reaction features mild conditions, easy handling, broad substrate scope and good yields. Remarkably, the products could be readily converted into potentially bioactive alkylidenepyrrolinones, pyrroles, pyran-fused pyrrole heterocycles and other useful compounds, exhibiting versatile synthetic potential.

Abstract
A 105 GHz collective Thomson scattering (CTS) diagnostic has been successfully developed for fast-ion measurements on the HL-2A tokamak, and it has been deployed during an experimental campaign. Enhanced signals exhibiting synchronous modulation characteristics have been observed across all CTS channels upon the launch of a modulated probe wave. Results show that the intensity of the CTS signal increases with Neutral Beam Injection (NBI) power and is proportional to neutron count, indicating that the scattering signal contains a contribution from fast ions. Compared with the signal without NBI, the enhanced scattering spectrum due to NBI is slightly wider than the predicted fast ion range. Such broadening might be attributed to the heating effects of the gyrotron.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of superpulse thulium laser lithotripsy in the intracavitary treatment of urinary calculi. Methods: From May 2021 to July 2022, patients diagnosed with urinary calculi were screened in four medical centers. Those who met the criteria were treated with superpulse thulium fiber laser under endoscope. The patients' perioperative conditions were recorded. The main effective index was stone-free rate (SFR) 4 weeks after operation, the main safety index was the failure rate of the experimental instruments during operation, and the secondary safety index was the incidence rate of perioperative complications. Results: A total of 76 eligible patients completed superpulse thulium fiber laser lithotripsy, with an average age of (52.0±11.1) years, 54 males and 22 females. There were 31 renal stones, 43 ureteral stones and 2 bladder stones. Percutaneous nephrolithotomy was performed in 17 patients. Ureteroscopy lithotripsy/flexible ureteroscopy lithotripsy was performed in 57 patients and transurethral bladder lithotripsy was in 2 patients. The lithotripsy time of all patients was (50.9±31.4) minutes. There was no failure of experimental instruments during the operation. Six patients refused follow-up examination after operation. The incidence of postoperative adverse events was 61.8% (47/76). One patient needed hospitalization due to inguinal hernia after operation, and the rest were classified as Clavien-dindo grade 1-2. The SFR was 94.3% (66/70) at 4 weeks after operation. Conclusion: It is effective and safe to use superpulse thulium fiber laser in the treatment of urinary calculi.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the drug resistance and multilocus sequence typing of five types of diarrheagenic Escherichia coli (DEC) isolated from diarrhea outpatients of diarrhea comprehensive monitoring designated hospital in Qingpu District, Shanghai City from 2015 to 2019. Methods: From January 2015 to December 2019, five types of DEC, isolated and identified from diarrhea outpatient cases' anal swabs of the Qingpu branch of Zhongshan Hospital were collected to determine the minimal inhibitory concentration by using the micro broth dilution susceptibility test. The strains, resistant to the third-generation cephalosporins or carbapenems, or producing ESBLs, were selected based on the results of sensitivity tests and determined by WGS. The MLST typing of DEC was analyzed based on the WGS technology and the minimum spanning tree was constructed by BioNumerics 7.6 software to analyze the local dominant flora. Results: A total of 513 strains of DEC were detected and isolated from 4 494 anal swabs, with a detection rate of 11.42%. About 500 strains were tested for drug sensitivity to nine antibiotics in four classes, including 330 strains of enterotoxigenic E.coli (ETEC), 72 strains of enteroaggregative E.coli (EAEC), 95 strains of enteropathogenic E.coli (EPEC), 1 strain of enterohemorrhagic E.coli (EHEC), and 2 strains of enteroinvasive E.coli (EIEC). From 2015 to 2019, the resistance rate of cefotaxime-clavulanic acid was significantly different (P<0.05). The resistance rate of virulence types of DEC to nalixic acid was significantly different (P<0.05). About 71 strains of DEC were determined by WGS, and 77 drug-resistant genes were detected. Strains were classified into 32 ST subtypes, with the dominant genotypes being ST-1491 (29.6%, 21/71) and ST-10 Complex (23.9%, 17/71). All ST-1491 produced ESBLs, which were blaCTX-M gene mutant strains. The dominant type of ST-10 complex was ST-218 (35.3%, 6/17). In addition, 8 strains of EAEC, 14 strains of EPEC and 49 strains of ETEC were classified into 7, 14 and 18 ST subtypes, respectively. Conclusion: The drug resistance of DEC strains from the diarrhea outpatient case of Qingpu District is serious. The ST types of EAEC and EPEC are highly polymorphic. The dominant ST types of DEC are basically consistent with the common genotypes in southeast China.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The double-J stent (DJS) is a commonly used ureteral stent in urological surgeries, which provides support and drainage. However, the DJS may result in various complications such as infection, hematuria, stone formation, stent occlusion, and migration. Normally, one end of the DJS is located in the renal pelvis, and the other end in the bladder. In this case report, we describe the rare occurrence of a misplaced DJS during laparoscopic pyeloplasty, which was unintentionally placed in the contralateral renal pelvis. CASE REPORT A 4-month-old male infant was diagnosed with left hydronephrosis. After confirmation of the diagnosis, laparoscopic left pyeloplasty was performed with the placement of a DJS. The patient did not experience any discomfort, such as nausea, vomiting, refusal to feed, crying and restlessness, or fever, after the operation, and was discharged on postoperative day 4. The patient returned to the hospital for DJS removal 6 weeks after the operation. However, the kidneys, ureters, and bladder (KUB) X-ray examination showed that the DJS was unintentionally placed in the contralateral ureter and renal pelvis. The stent was confirmed and removed under cystoscopy. Postoperative examination of the DJS showed that there was a hole in the side of the middle of the stent for urine drainage, with no obstruction or contralateral hydronephrosis. CONCLUSIONS Misplacement of a DJS in the contralateral renal pelvis during laparoscopic pyeloplasty is a rare but potentially serious complication. Surgeons should be cautious when placing the stent and confirm its placement with imaging studies. Patients should be closely monitored for postoperative complications and prompt intervention should be taken if necessary.

Introduction In the post-pandemic era, the cultivation of vocational adaptability among college students holds equal significance to fostering subjective well-being in the face of an increasingly daunting professional landscape. This intricate process can be influenced by exploratory expeditions into potential career paths, sincere introspection, and a profound sense of vocation. Methods Drawing upon Bandura's self-regulation theory, this research project employed structural equation modeling (SEM) to scrutinize the interconnectedness between career exploration, self-reflection, vocational calling, vocational adaptability, and subjective well-being within a sample of 1077 Chinese undergraduates. Results The findings demonstrated that career exploration and self-reflection positively predicted career adaptability and subjective well-being. In addition, career calling had a significant mediating effect in this model. Conclusion The findings of this study shed light on the significance of career exploration and self-reflection in fostering both adolescent career adaptability and subjective well-being. And are expected to provide a reference for the career construction and development of college students and career education in colleges and universities.

Abstract
Purpose Moqi can help team members facilitate communication without all interlocutors present, so the researchers speculate it can be an efficient communication tool for virtual teams to compensate for its lack of synchronous communication and in-person contact. However, the only study on the predictors of team members' moqi believed that shared understandings could only arise from team tasks. Based on social exchange theory, the current study emphasizes the social and emotional benefits exchanged among team members and explores moqi-making among virtual team members through a lens of relationship-building. Methods With a two-wave time-lagged survey design, a total of 381 team members from 86 virtual teams in China participated in the study. Hierarchical regression analysis was performed to test the hypotheses. Results Results confirmed that virtual team members' empathy is conducive to their experiences of high-quality interpersonal relationships (HQIR) and moqi. Relationship closeness positively moderates the link between empathy and experiences of HQIR and the mediating effect. Conclusion This study helps unveil the significance of compassionate communication and life-giving connections in cultivating virtual team members' moqi and offers meaningful insights for facilitating virtual collaborations.
